  • Bill Ward's beats and cuts are awesome. Geezer and Tony were lucky to have him.

  • For a want of better words for fear of sounding gay, I love the harmonies to this track.

  • @rob16248 I hope you don't live your life worrying if people think your gay.

  • It amazes that Ozzy said he hated this album even going so far as calling it disgusting. Personally I this this and Technical Ecstasy are two of their best album, just gems of the genre. Music today doesn't even come close to the to the inventiveness and energy of the music from this time period. What happened to society that RAP is now considered profound? Even the "rock and Metal" music of today is lame in comparison. Glad I can claim this as my own!!!

  • thx bro this song's awesome

  • 70s Ozzy > 80s Ozzy

  • i got this record!

  • Starting at 2:41 -- What a solo! Very unusual, and one of the most intense solos Iommi ever recorded, imo.

  • Tony Iommi's John Birch SG guitar sounds like a stainless Steel Chain saw. AWESOME guitar sound.

  • So powerfull!!

  • These tracks have been given a reprieve by time- seriously under-rated, I can hear all kinds of prescient influences.

  • @Samsgarden mistake people make is because the band didnt like it, it was bad. Not true, sabbath meant they didnt like it because the band was imploding and the way they recorded was too different from the original sabbath raw sound. They had an orchestra and a jazz band in on studio sessions etc. Even so, worse sabbath album > every modern band.

  • @PortsmouthNoir

All good bands evolve. Respect for Sabbath for deviating from otherwise safe and familiar territory.

  • @PortsmouthNoir That's no shit either!!! I'd rather listen to Never Say Die for a MONTH straight before having to try and swallow some of this half-assed delivered tripe bands these days are coming out with....and for Sabbath, who--by this time were in dire straits interpersonally, to STILL emerge with an unsung GEM like this....says a LOT about how and where talent comes into play....excessive drug use/mismanagement/other ills or NOT....it STILL shines!!!

  • riff @ 2:44 priceless!

  • Someone had enough on the ball to post the LAST GREAT Sabbath studio recording...great job!

  • the greatest song by the greatest band...! how did they do it,right? ".. you know that this shouldn't happen to you you tell yourself that it just can't be true but there is nothing you can do...OH..." FRICKIN EPIC-aw YEAH

  • I hear Sloan, Maiden, lotsa Southern Blues/Rock, and others whos names are on the tip of my tounge but can't quite get them out right now. Man, this song takes you everywhere!!!!!!!

  • heavy heavy heavy....

  • The people at AllMusic need to check their heads!!! How is this album deserving of only 1.5 *...? this is not rap or hillbilly country crap...this is SABBATH!

  • The leads in this song are song of my favorite Tony Iommi licks. God bless his little heart.

  • @jimmyfromfort

sounds like he did ti with a razor blade..

  • Fu Manchu took a cue from this album it seems

  • switch video to high resolution (720p, 1080p HD) for improved sound quality! :-)

  • not as much resonaince as paranoid of master of reality no balls! but sabbath is still good here

  • Never say die in yer fuckin face jack!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Some of the guitar in this sounds like David Gilmour. The solo in the 2:40 time range. "Have a Cigar" -esk at the start of that solo? A lot of this album had influences that Iommi must have been taking from other guitarist of the time. Interesting and nothing wrong with that, as I'm sure Toni was looking to stay relevent and up with what other players were doing at that time. I love the basic rhythm for this song.

  • the ooo ooo-- ooo ooo is prety badass

  • "Black Sabbath" reference in the beginning.

  • this song makes me wanna use the time macine in napoleon dynamite

  • Oh yes, Jr high school here I come; summer of 1978, bong hits, tank tops, California sunshine, BMX bikes, frisbees, slurpees, skateboarding and lot's of Black Sabbath, KISS, AC/DC and Van Halen!!

  • @MrVeesworld Right there with you brother... only I was in Texas. Just add Aerosmith to the list, and day dreaming of blasting this song in a Trans Am!!

  • @MrVeesworld Exactly. Did you grow up in So. Cal per chance ?

  • @couch63 grew up in Nor Cal but lived in So Cal 1975-1977.

  • @MrVeesworld Sounded like it. lived in Upland Ontario area boarding and bong hits in empty pools. The 70's music kicks the shit out of any other decade

  • @MrVeesworld

JACK IN THE BOX TACO afer a day boogie boarding at Mission Beach...so many hot babes...I wanna go back!

  • @SD1Chargers I forgot those damn turd Tacos at Jack n the Crack. Taste so good after bong hits!!!

  • @MrVeesworld i love readin the comments like that. it gives me a false sense that i am living in that era. i stick to that list and make this era my own.

  • @MrVeesworld Don't forget Led Zeppelin =)

  • @MrCleanPolo Zeppelin is the band that should be sitting at the Kids Table when Sabbath walks in the room....

  • just felt the wings of time.....

  • Song should have been on Sabbotage. Would have fit the sound and style of that album perfectly !!

  • possibly my fav sabbath album

  • "black sun rising in blood red sky" mint!

  • Love this song/album. Black Sabbath never made a bad album with Ozzy.

  • @XXRawWwRrX Ozzy disagree

  • @Luxmaxnike Ozzy disagrees because he recorded it in Toronto in the middle of January

  • @omgiTsmeJon I'm pretty sure he doesn't like the music within it

  • @omgiTsmeJon I don't like it neither. but this is the only sabbath album i dislike of the first 10.

  • @Luxmaxnike then why are you listening to it? the ultimate youtube oxymoron.

  • @SolsburyHill22 Because if i didn't listen i would never know if i would like it or not.

  • @SolsburyHill22 btw is oxymoron like a moron? i don't get it

  • @Luxmaxnike fair enough. look the word up, but I didnt call you a moron as im not a youtube "hardman"

  • This song takes me back. It is a part of me

  • I don't usually use the word "epic" because too many know-it-all, asshole kids have ruined it... but this song is fucking epic.

  • @jasonsheppard93 So fucking True!!
