  • You want to just hold them in the water while trying to revive them but don't pull them back and forth. By doing that, you're forcing water through their gills backwards causing more harm than good.

  • DUDE WTF IS WRONG WITH U?!?!?!?! U DONT PUT THAT MUSKEY BACK IN THE WATER, U PUT IT ON THE GRILL!!!

  • @tmkskilled Muskies are to be released not eaten. If you want fish to eat then go catch some walleyes. Besides, Rowan lake has a 54" minimum size limit.

  • 9 inch minnow?

  • @fishproet It was actually a 5-inch minnow, pearl color.

  • nice catch i just got my second bass on the banjo minnow few days ago and didnt get a chance to twitch the bait yet lol i let it take it abit then i set the hook

i was usingthe blue back clear minnow with a spike it red tail

  • thats a fish and a half!!!! congrats

  • @xcreed123 Thanks! I was quite thrilled that day.

  • u can tell hes a damn canadian from his slight accent lol

  • @123dukesfan yes it does work for catfish. i used the glow in the dark banjo minow and caught an 8lb channel catfish

  • i got a banjo 006 minnow for FREE from my friend! lucky me......

  • did it die?

  • @jpacky2525 It swam away moments after we turned the camera off.

  • Aww yeah, big fish...ooh yeahh. Mmmm. Ahhh, aw man. Oh yeeaaah. Wow. LMAO!

  • holy fish!!!!! that is real big!!!! some people say it sucks, but someday, im gonna buy it.

  • i want the banjo minnow so bad...,but i dont wanna pay all the moeny when you order it...

  • You sound like the Double Rainbow guy.

  • i own banjo minnows

  • your better off just going to the banjo minnow site and getting them there banjominnowcom Ive been using the 4" 5" minnows for a few years. my buddy laughed at me when we went out our first time he saw it tied on asked what it was does it work. first cast I landed a 3.5lb lg mouth my third cast i landed a 3lb and my 4th cast another 3lb lrg mouth within 15mins he was like gimme one on his 3rd or 4th cast he landed a small 2lb. he went and bought some yesterday

  • Ignorant bait-fisherman says: WHAT! YOU DIDN'T KILL IT AND EAT IT?!

  • LMAO "Im just trying to revive this creature" LOL just let the fish go it will repair itself LOL

your bro did surely did drain the heck out of it lol

  • Yea hey nice man great shot of the musk!! :)

  • Great job man. Would the Banjo Minnows work for bass and catfish also?

  • @123dukesfan Thanks! Yes, it works great for bass, especially around weedbeds! Northerns will also engulf them. I haven't had any luck with them on catfish though. Let me know if you catch any.

  • @namtkd1 will do. Let me get my hands on some and head out to Lake Arthur.

  • @namtkd1 You probably have to let them sit still so the catfish will find it. Catfish aren't very predatory.

  • @namtkd1 I dont believe it works for catfish that well because catfish are like smelling hunters with there whiskers. Thats why they make stink baits especially for catfish.

  • @123dukesfan it will def catch bass but catfish it will b a trick, cats like to hang of the bottom and feed maybe if u play the minnow dead it will

  • @expidemic Thats what I was thinking, or just use hot dogs that have been sitting in my garage for God knows how long.

  • @123dukesfan bass will gladly accept anything you throw at them..they are gluttons but they will hit these hard.

  • @123dukesfan Just bass.

  • wheres rowan lake?

  • @sealingconnor10 Rowan Lake is in Ontario, Canada. It's 25 air miles from Nestor Falls.

  • @namtkd1 oh i live in MT

  • ado they work for saltwater or in rivers for black bream and tailor?

  • 1st time ive used a banjo minnow was the last time i used it because the northern took off with it after a leap out of the water :(

  • Nice fish. I loved the banjo minnow, I always hooked em wacky style and jerked em fast. It was killer on pike. I haven't seen these anywhere since I was using them when I was ten, fourteen years later I have been looking for them. Someone said bass proshops by there isn't one up here.

  • damn thats big. i lost a huge one off the dock, never got to see it but it was big enough to feel like it was just about to pull me off the dock.

  • @StormsFishingNMore did this happen at kring point state park?

  • @airsoftman4310 no i was fishing up in park rapids minnesota area when that happened. i mostly fish in ely minnesota but the big musky was in park rapids.

  • @StormsFishingNMore thank you!

  • Thats a great fish...BUT...The Banjo Minnow isn't what the commercials make it out to be. I spent 40.00 US on the set and it works about as good as the typical jig. I'm not a rookie fisherman and I know how to use the bait so please don't misinterperate what I'm saying. I just mean don't get your hopes up about it ok?

  • you should use a cradle next time, cuz the tail on that muskie was pretty torn up :p

  • haha im just giving you shit man, i would have been flipping a bitch if a caught a fish that big! Nice catch, keep it upp bro.

  • Haha I know. It was one of my biggest muskies! I just watched one of your favorites "the hog under the feeder" video. I had a good laugh after the boot!

  • Why are you whispering?

  • I am not sure. I might have been out of breath.

  • if you fish for pike also try the booyah pond magic bass spinnerbait and a zoom c tail worm as a trailer which matches the patern. it rocks on northen

  • Comment removed

  • I think they work really well

and banjominnowstore online ships within one or two days i recommend them :)

i caught some nice bass on the pearl!!

  • dude it sounds like a guy telling a girl what to do in a porn video

  • the dock in south sauty alabama is just filled with largemouth bass and garr.Great place to fish!

  • did the fish died

how long did it take u to catch that fish

  • u split it's fins u crazy man! don't use such a small net!

  • Man that lure is old as hell!!!!!!! But it's pretty useful.

  • which color and size banjo mini would be could for bass? Pike?

  • i caught my first pike on a jitterbug a few nights ago.

jitterbug is works best for me but i gotta try this

  • I catch a lot of fish with the banjo minnow and frog. Almost all bass. I do not work for Banjo or anything, but they are great lures.

  • sweet fish ive never caut a fish on the banjo mino befor 2 thumbs up

  • The banjo 006 minnow does work i put it on my hook and i just casted it out and about 25 sec went by and a BIG! bass was on my hook i cought of the dock.

i was fishing off the dock of lake erie in ontario

  • do the banjo minows really work like they say in tv please answer im thinking of buying some

  • @kratoes911 There is a time and place for every lure. The Banjo Minnow has worked for me when other lures didn't work.

  • @kratoes911 yes they really work i was night fishing the other night and yesterday and fish were attacking my banjo minnows. Its so life like even a fucking neutra rat made off with my banjo minnow.

  • @kratoes911 yea they realy works

  • @kratoes911 yes i got some and i caught some fish that u dont catch with lures. i caught carp, catfish, bluegill, bass, crapie. there pretty nice

  • @kratoes911 I would definitely recommend a banjo minnow kit. I have had nothing but good luck and great things to say about it. Caught me the biggest bass of my life, even though it was only 11 pounds.

  • @kratoes911 Read my message...even as the man say's there is a time and place for every bait.

  • stuff it and hang it on your wall if it dies.

  • good muskie man you can use the banjo minnow for ice fishing too

  • rowan lake where cause i know of one in canada where i fish lake trout

  • Rowan Lake is 25 air miles from Nestor Falls, Ontario. We fish that lake for lake trout as well. It must be the same lake you fished at. Good lake!

  • @namtkd1 indeed :-) we and others snowmobile there in the morning from the resorts on crow, last year my dad caught and released a 45 incher that bottomed out a 40Lb scale!!! it was like 10 inches deep in the gut! it was incredible. got a replica made.

  • @hitshitthefan Icatch lake trout on Lake ontario with the banjo minnow

  • the irony about pike, pickerel and muskies is that they are super badass in the water but when you catch one you hafta nurse it back to life...bass just swim off an continue their day...it makes sense though...they weren't made for being pulled out of the water...

  • Nice ski. The pulling it backwards will hurt the fish. Just keep it uprite until she can swim away is the best method. Never pull it backwards. Face the fish into the current or waves. Never let the fish drag backwards. Believe me on this or do some research and then teach others the correct way to release fish.

  • banjo minnow is a lure designed to catch fisherman

sorry for being so honest, dont get me wrong, it WORKS, ive caught fish with it before, But it just as good as using a Zoom fluke style bait, or a Slugo, it's the action of the bait that makes fiserman believe its better than any other lure, truth is, you get the same action using a fluke, with a EWG 3-4" gap hook, rigged weedless, no weight in fact i think the fluke has a better "darting" action, and triggers in-active fish more into a strike

  • they are both good ive had just about the same results with both sometimes they bite the banjo sometimes it the super fluke

  • wish we had muskie here! nice vid mate!

  • what size minnow did u use?

    nice fish 5 stars

  • Thanks! I used the 5" minnow to catch this muskie.

I have caught muskies and lots of pike on both the 4" and 5" sizes. I haven't had any luck on the bigger sizes yet.

  • so i have the set of them

is it 4 inch 5 inch and 6 inch?

i havent bass fished since october lol

  • I used the 5 inch minnow. Pearl was the color.

For pike and muskie, make sure you use a flexible steel leader such as titanium. You don't need it for bass.

  • yea i no i i have a few leaders in my box just incase i go 2 a place with pike or musky not many pplace around here have nice pike or musky i did catch a small pickerel on a artificial worm while bass fishin lol

  • the preacher is correct.

j33dup - join a muskie site (forum) and ask some questions. you will learn a lot.

  • cool thanks

    i was unsure

  • I am sure you would catch fish in Australia if you used the Banjo under the right conditions and location. All big fish eat smaller fish. The wounded imitation of the Banjo is a trigger and an easy target for them.

  • i live in Australia do u think that i would catch anything?cause my dad just bought it

  • i have that same hat!

  • Thats awesome but you need to be careful when "Swimming" or reviving the fish. (When you pull a fish backwards you are drowning it)

  • drowning it? fish can't swim backwards? 16 years of fishing- never heard that one....

  • True, Fish dont swim Backwards (For a resone) When you PULL a fish backwards it opens up the gills and forces water in the wrong way causing the fish to Suffocate or "Drown". Ive been fishing for about 18+ years and never heard of that also untill about a year ago and did some research. Just because you never heard that in 16 years of fishing doesnt mean a person knows everything about fishing... We all learn new things everyday. -God Bless-

  • Thats completely incorrect, drowning a fish is paradoxical, it doesn't happen. You are supposed to do that after a fish has been out of the water for a while, you need to get some water back into its gills to recover valuable lost oxygen. Not to mention all the pros do it, Roland, Bill Dance, etc. Do you mean to say that they are all doing it wrong? Everyone disregard what this moron said.

  • Well Theres no reason being rude... I never said it was bad to "Swim" a fish after somthing like that, (I do it all the time) Im saying when you pull the A fish Backward you have to be GENTLE... If you watch the "Pros" you will notice that they are gental (Especialy backwards) also if you "Tailwrap" a fish or hook its tail you are pulling it backwards (that is most ocean sports Fishermens knightmares because its hard to revive a fish after somthing that. Do the research before condemning somone

  • @j33dup Roland Martin and Bill dance are bass fisherman moron

  • @KyleDorr1

You are a fucking idiot. That comment is completely invalid and in no way helps you to win this argument. The gills of pike and muskie behave the same was as largemouth bass, and I guarantee you Roland and Bill have both been fishing for pike and muskie many times before.

  • thats crazy i thought it was som ebullshit infomercial

  • Bass fisher man help me out!!! what works better for small mouth bass...the 3 or 4inch minnow!!!!

  • use the 3 incher that is what ive caught all mine on just use the 3 inch heavy eyes for sure

  • im getting those minnows right now

  • where can u get those minnos?

  • im going to bass proshop right now =D

    looks like they work GREAT!

good luck with fishing to you mate!

  • it's wierd at first having to make the minnow do all the moving on your own but you get used to it.

  • yeah guys. The banjo minnow is a great system. I hope they never stop making it. Or im gonna buy like 999999 of them

  • just ordered myself a 110 piece set they way it looks ill be out fishing my friends in no time!!!

  • Good Luck! Let me how you do.

  • i got my first set about 7 or 8 yrs ago. it is truly a great lure. its hard to find now though

  • do u recomend the banjow minnow for beginners?

  • I think so. The twitching action you imply with your wrist is fairly simple to learn.

  • i just ordered this thing

  • I need some feed Back.... is the Banjo Minnow as good a lure as people say??

and if so, Where can I get it??

  • I was sold the first time I saw the Banjo Minnow in action. In my opinion, the crippled action it imitates of an injured minnow is as close to the real thing.

  • look at bass pro shops website... i saw it there for 20$

  • @ChicoSuave14 bass pro shop

  • @ChicoSuave14 I use the banjo frog mostly for bass. Great lure! Have to buy off the net now. Stores don't sell them anymore.

  • @ChicoSuave14 the banjo minnow phone number is 1-800-950-7993, Their offical website is called "banjominnow.tv" no .C0M or anything just .tv and u can figure out the rest from there.

Thumbs up so people can see!

  • @ChicoSuave14 you can get it at Bass Pro Shops

  • @ChicoSuave14 its good

    bass pro shop has em

  • My buddy pulled a 57 inch out of the Susquehanna River and actually pulled on to the boat that he said made the 57 incher look like a minnow and he's not one for telling stories. Those fish can get big.

  • 57 inches??? Holy cow! That's huge! I hope to land a fish like that some day.

  • I acctually caught one just like that and it was in fresh water1

  • muskie are fresh water fish

  • do u think the banjo minnow wood work for carp?

  • I haven't caught carp with the Banjo Minnow yet. My guess is it probably wouldn't be the best lure to use for them since carp are bottom feeders.

  • yea cuz i went to a lake full of fish but i wasnt sure wat kind it was and we tried evry bait worms,stinkbaits,lures..i didnt have the banjo minnow at the time..but my guess was that it was carp since they are picky.

  • Use corn for carp. Thread 7-8 kernels and a small piece of styrofoam on a long shank hook and fish it on bottom with a sinker. Toss some corn in the area to attract them to your bait.

  • hey um how good is the banjo minnow on a scale of 1 to 10

  • Depending on the fishing conditions I am faced with on any given day, if it's calm, sunny, and I am fishing around weedbeds, I would give it a 10! It's my go-to lure and the first lure I toss to the fish.

  • whats the most productive rigging you use for your banjos? hooking them in the belly and letting it dead fall is how i catch most of mine.

  • Thanks for the tip! I will have to give your rigging a try this season. Almost sounds like the wacky rigging method. I just rig my Banjo the standard way.

  • Nice muskie! So would you recommend the banjo minnow?

  • I'd definitely recommend them. Great action and realistic movements!

  • nice fish im prolly gona get some banjo minnows but 1 thing i learned in fishing camp dont revive it by goin back and forth u can drovn it cause water gets in gills but nice fish

  • Thanks for the tip! I will remember that for next time.

  • I can't wait to try my Banjo 006 minnows out this weekend going bass fishing and maybe trout too.

  • I think you will like it. I like how it moves in the water. Definitely a fish catcher! Good Luck!

  • Thanks bud for the comment! I hope to be back there sometime next year to catch the fish again if it's still there.

  • Nice fish brah and good going on letting it go. cool fish like that been around for while ya know

  • Congrats dude, nice fish, you sound like you just got laid. I'd rather catch a big muskie like that than have sexy time.

  • LOL Thanks man, I was pretty excited! :)

  • there is a river next to my house and pike always swim up to the shore but never bite on anything, do you think the banjo minnow will work for them.

  • It depends on the conditions and timing. The Banjo Minnow catches lots of fish but like every other lure it has it's time and place. I would definitely carry some Banjo's along with a few spinners and spoons for the pike.

  • thx

  • gee golly now-ah doncha know!! thatsa big fish now-ah!!!!

  • did you revive it

  • Yes, the fish swam away on her own shortly after.

  • this lure is sooo light you can't cast it very far from your boat or from the shore line. That's the real problem with the banjo minnow.

  • is that napolean dynamite talking lol

  • not napolean more like kip. hahha

  • @jjwd1387 lmao i thought the same damn thing

  • ya it doesnt work good when the fish are deep because it is really light which gives it the action so fishing on the shore line is good with the banjo minnow and when the water is really clear so the fish can see it i went fishing at some stocked ponds with clean water and was only there two hours and caught 14 largemouth with just 2 different colors ranging from 2lbs to5lbs

  • i heard that you have to use a light spinning rod when you fish the banjo minnow, but what kind of rod do you use when you go after bigger fish?

  • I used a medium heavy action spinning rod with the 5" Banjo Minnow to land this muskie. The rod action was perfect for twitching the larger minnow through the reeds. When I switch to a 3" or 4" minnow I drop to a medium action rod.

  • does the banjo minnow really work?

  • It works! There is no magic lure out there and the Banjo Minnow isn't magic, however, there is a time and place for when it will out fish other lures.

  • i used the banjo minnow when i went catfish fishing at my lake but all i caught were shity bluegill and one small yellow bullhead

  • that is because you dont use a banjo minnow for catfish.try some liver for catfish

  • use liver or sucker insides or cut for catfish

  • awsome

  • wow very nice fish i have been fishing the banjo at every pond, lake and anything else for at least a month now and i havent gotten any fish on it nice work on your muskie

  • Thanks for your comment! I find the Banjo most productive when worked over shallow weedy flats inside of bays during spring and early summer. Although I caught this fish mid-afternoon most of my fish were caught early morning and late evening.

  • I used it way back an i can say i had to put my rod down for like 30 min because i keep catching so many fish. It was crazy out of 4 cast i would catch 2 or 3 fish. I never in my life hooked so many fish, it was something out of a movie or something. It's been years since i had them but now with doing anything costing to much money Im going back to fishing..and i just bought some new B.J.M. from the site..can't wait to use them and see if they still work just like back in the day, nice fish man.

  • Thanks bud! You'll have to let me know how the new Banjo Minnow works. I am still using the old one and it still catches fish for me. I like that they have small slits along the body in the new design and I am sure that will help create more realistic movement. Keep me posted.

  • I realy havent had much luck with lures i have been useing one and only caught 1 fishing and had it like for a year lol.

  • will do man- i can't wait until it gets here!

  • wow dude nice fish i have been thinking about buying the minows for some time now ne edvice.......

    -woot fishing

  • Thanks for your comment! I recommend getting them if you have some spare change. They're worth it in my opinion. I have caught fish with them at times when nothing seemed to work.

  • woot banjo minnows ftw i use them all the time

  • well done.. I use banjos all the time.. The top water explosions is what I like the most about em

  • will the banjo minnow work for a little lake trout im thinking about buying it
