How are the ticket brokers any different from scalpers? If you buy a ticket and resell it at an inflated price the law calls you a crook, and you can go to jail. But if you do it in big enough numbers and resell at an inflated price the law calls you a broker, and I guess you just go to the bank! Same law for everyone. Riiiiight!
It goes even deeper than that, as it turns out, at least here in Canada, Ticket Master and others are in cahoots with the brokers (partners if you will), and they say on their web site that tickets are sold out and then direct you to this other site where "people" are willing to sell "their" tickets for a large profit over face value...there is a class action suit starting here to take this issue on....they have been "pre-selling" most of the tickets to the "brokers" for increased profits
That is really annoying. Happens all over the world. But like you know it can go on only as long as people keep buying from the brokers. And they will keep buying bc like you they want that experience for themselves or for a special someone and at that point money isn't the issue. Anywho, have a great time at the concert!
I remember those days! :0) My first concert, Pink Floyd, was a fun time in line, as well as numerous Dead shows.
