well if your tvs screen resolution is 1920x1080p then yes it will work and if you have a pc screen with 1920x1200 it will work any less and it will not.

actually you will see a jump in performance, but its not a big one at all, you would definetely notice it but you shouldnt wpend it on that for that small of a leap ... a 4870 would be a really noticeable leap
