How are u flight instructor ! I am a newbie (fs 2004)...only one question: When i am on final approach(ILS) alligned, speed correct, flaps perfect, and i disengage a/p and auto throttle my whole world falls apart...the 737-400 nose flares as if showing off her belly. Please help i can't even manually force her down...too late in any case...Thanks
it works,, landing a jet is easy from now on,, one question , i was cleared to land ,, but the runway was busy!!! is there a utilitiy or sth to fix this ?? thx
thank you so much, i've seen another tut , and when i tried it, it didn't work, who ever made that tut, forgot to mention that it works only in an IFR flight plan !! i'll try this now and see!! :)
if i disengage my autopilot a bit b4 they clear d runway, wil my plane just land beside d runway?coz my plane did not lined up with d runway correct;y when i did so!!!fuckin help me!
if i keep my autopilot or approach engaged, wil my plane cum down on its own!coz i kep them engaged n my plane landed b4 the runway!it just landed on d ground!??!!help!!!!!
thanks alot man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!my plane ;lined up with d runway and all but d only prob is i couldnt control d landing.i actually landed d palne b4 the runway:pp ANYY SUGESTIONS!
What you need to do is make sure that everything on your panel is turned off (view the part when I'm on final approach in the video). After that, the plane is in a mode where it's stabilizing itself because its vital approach commands we're disconnected, which means that you have to control the aircraft's throttle and Elevator / Aileron axis until engine shutdown at the gate and you've successfully landed.
@fsx767 ummmm....i dont even know wts elevator!plzzzz tel me wts it n how do i control it.wt does it do...i remeber once i landed a plane(not on a runway but on d ground:P) but d p;lane started moving zigzag!plz tel me how do i have to control the elevator!!!!thanks.:)
@fsx767 hey i landed a plane and i applied d brakes n al but d plane started moving sidewas....it went all to d taxing area...i had no control over d plane!any ideas!
@fsx767 hey man!i tried landing 2 times!one tym,i landed safely but d other tym,my plane lined up with d runway but when i disengaged autopilot,my plane moved to d ide n i ended up landing at d side of d runway!!:(((!!!y dis happened!!!btw i wil send u d video my first ever landing.but plzzzz tel me y i ended up landing beside d runway instead on it!
@fsx767 please help me i just downloaded and installed fs2004 but i cant fly with the mouse in FSX to activate mouse you would press ctrl + y but i dont know how to use mouse in fs2004 HELP
@fsx767 when i play fs2004 the mouse moves around and i can click stuff like spot view and virtual cockpit but i cant switch the mouse to use it as yoke to turn the aircraft ailerons and tail or nothing.... i really want to play fs2004!!!
@ItalianSupercar12 Hi, fs2004 doesn't have Mouse as yoke feature, like FSX, you need a software that can make mouse works as yoke, look for MOUSE AS YOKE FS2004 using google, you may find it odd to use but when you get used to it it's awesome! good luck
@ItalianSupercars12 Hey, I'm here to help :) When I first started playing fs 04 , I didn't have a joystick so I decided 2 use my mouse, although I learned that you actually cant use ur mouse as a yoke in fs 04. So I bought a joystick. You can get 1 for about 20$ Mine is a Logitech ATTACK 3, I recommended this joystick 2 allot of people bcause it was the first 1 I have bought and I loved it cause I was new to the hobby and it was easy to use and easy to install. Message me if you got this!
@tatararaful thanks, my buddy got me a joystick from his cousin i appreciate you telling me a great joystick to buy though im planning on getting my own :)
Wats Up fsx767! I was watching your video and i loved it. it actually helped me do landings better.I just wanted to know is when you put the approach hold switch to guide you to the runway do you have to keep the altitude hold switch on also?
@Mremirates97 The Altitude Hold switch will more often than not turn itself off and turn / descend the plane towards the runway. If you want you can turn off the Altitude Hold switch when you activate the Approach Hold (app) switch, it shouldnt do anything.
Hello, I tried this but I didn't get the Control Tower, or even me, to say that I'm making an ILS landing, just:"landing". So how does that actually work?
@FlyingDutchMan225 You have to start at your departure airport and open an IFR flightplan at that time so that the controller will know that you're going to your destination airport. You can try to do it without the ATC but you need payware aircraft stuff like an fmc etc.
The editing software that I use is Sony Vegas Pro series. That costs over $100 though, so if you're looking for something free, check to see if you've got windows movie maker on your system. That program is the very first editing software I used, for about the first 30 videos I put onto youtube.
i seem to have mastered this but i wanted to know something.... when you press app it takes you down right and you know the PAPI lights how comes they are all red? this means that we are too low.... but isn't ILS supposed to get the right glide slope and localizer. if so how comes the PAPI doesn't show 2 reds and 2 white. thanks.
@sadiq119asma That's very strange, personally, no matter what aircraft I'm flying, I don't have that problem. What aircraft are you using that gives you this problem?
However, if you want to get rid of the problem, just take it manually in.
i wanted to ask something. What is the landing speed 4 b737-800 n b747-400 n b777-300. tnx.
P.S- i will really appreciate it if you decide to make a full flight n if u have made it please can u upload it and give me a message. Thank you so very much.
I would like to eventually get around to it, but school is very important in my life right now. Even though that is true, I definitely would like to get something like that in there!
@fsx767 cn i ask u something? example ur altimter is 29.92 up 18,000 ft and example i descend below the transition altititude and the altimeter is 29.83 and still dont have contact to any airport or ATIS what altimeter will i input the latest one before i reached 18k ft? or remain 2992 until i contact an airport?
@RPC5181 The safest thing, at least for me not experiencing any problems is pressing the B key on your keyboard. The B key automatically sets your altimeter to your nearest airport of your current position. If you are flying on a network like vatsim, however, where you talk to the ATC, they will give you your altimeter (i.e 2998) through voice.
@TheRobaroba The HDG knob is used for headings given out by the ATC, the CRS is short for course and is for your ILS runway heading so it can work with your ILS runway frequency. I hope this helped! Subscribe if you haven't already ;)
thanks man..... jus got 2 more questiion...... when i was doing this landing everythiong worked but wen ddey cleared me i couldnt land manually..... bcause ur videos have so much qualities i humbly reqyuest u can u make another video to show how to land....,... tnxs man
hi .. i play fs9 n i really like this vid. just wanna know cant you land automatically and seciondly how comes they cleared you in 500 or 1500 hats too less
@sadiq119asma It is possible to land fully automatically, but you have to disconnect the autopilot and everything right after touchdown, which isn't that smooth anyway. They cleared me before that, I just put that in there as a text.
Oh ok thank you!! i have any other question.... And how can i use to lock the rudder??? and how to answer and to communicate to the Control Tower on ATC for take off and rough landing???
@jdiegosantana15 The APP button is the Approach Hold selector. You use this so your aircraft can turn correctly on its own to line up with your landing runway. The NAV1 (or the NAV1 frequency) is used to tune your aircraft with the arrival runway's landing frequency (i.e - 111.75). All of these things, including the CRS box, can help you with your autolanding / ILS landing.
Hi great video!. i have a big problem.... :( when i set my autopilot on (altitude and vert speed on) the plane is DECENDING very much! please help i really want to autopilot please!!!
@StudyAcademic - FL stands for flight level. The term is used when an aircraft is at 18,000 ft or above. (i.e- FL380 = 38,000 ft) The vertical speed can be changed by the V/S button and the knob on the right (or left) side of the MCP (autopilot cntrl area). The more you increase the V/S the lower the speed you will be at because your pitch would be too high. However, the less you decrease the rate in the V/S the more your speed will go up because you're descending.
Thanks! I tried to land using ILS approach but my aircraft never landed it has just flown out of runway and that's it. Ok, here is what I did. (1) Flight Plan from A to B (2) Took off (3) Put 4000feet for aa start to altitude holder (4) 300knoots for speed (5) Put CRS (which is near the headining) (6) Auto-pilot (Z) And my plane was flying by the way it is on the GPS. As I approached the point B, where I was supposed to land, in green it said different headinings, and loww
ring to 1500 feet. Then I was clear for the runway 34, I looked to the map, and put its CRS and frequency into the place it should be. Then I saw a runway, but it wasn't straight ahead, but I was 1000f, so I put off AutoPilot and put APP(approach holder) BUT my plane just flew out of runway NEVER getting straight ahead. What is my problem?
@GIDAN2987 find the one you want, download it, and if its a compressed file (zip or win RAR) take the file out. so that its all in one folder. and paste it in the aircraft section :P
@Tranzorr If you don't have that, you should plan your decent manually. When I say that I mean ask the controllers to get a decent to around FL260 (it depends on your cruise alt.) because if you don't do that, you will usually be a little bit too high for your final approach.
you don't have to be flying IFR to preform an ILS landing. if you want you can just land without ATC or you can open the ATC window, select the nearest airport option, select the airport you want to land at and then select the full stop landing option
@mitsomantras1 160 knots for a 747 is a lot, 150 knots tops, plus it all depends on the weight of your aircraft (larger weight, larger approach speed). You wouldn't land a 747 fully loaded [no 747 pilot does that (and/or would not)] because you would be over the maximum landing weight and crash.
@mitsomantras1 i have to make a correction about what i said that a 747 landing at 160 knots is alot. i've seen a video of a 747 landing at it's maximum landing weight and it's landing speed was 162 knots
@Mr08ShelbyGt500 nice! I love how it's very low priced and it performs like it should be at least double! After buying it, I'm now an avid Logitech fan forever!
so , realy nice movie But I have 1 important question how you can see the wings from tis plane pls answer me the steps for downloading or what i have to click in the game thank you
@Uygur102 I wish I could make a tutorial but I'm just too busy with school right now, if you type in on youtube "Sony Vegas Tutorial" it should help you with a ton of things.
@TheFsfreak LNAV and VNAV work for planes that use the FMS (i.e the PMDG jets, Captain Sim 757, Quality Wings 757 .... etc.). I made this tutorial for just the basic default planes that do not include a FMC/FMS.
If you want to learn how to do an ILS with LNAV and VNAV setting, find a tutorial on youtube for your aircraft that you are trying to do the ILS approach with.
Thanks for watching though.... Greatly appreciated my friend!
@smiley2990 30,000. You put flight level (FL) infront of an altitude if it's 18,000 ft. or above. Otherwise, just say the altitude if you are below FL180.
when i put the approach hold on, my plane will make a slight turn to intercept, then suddenly do a sharp turn upwards and away from the ILS feather?? help pls
@FF35Pilot usually it will climb to reach your altitude that you assign on your MCP area, if you do set it to a lower altitude as in what ever the atc controller will give you, like 2000, or say 2500.
@FF35Pilot thats strange, i do this so that i switch approach hold switch when im line up witth the runway, and then after few seconds i turn off autopilot and land manually, and it works, so i think that the approach hold switch is for nothing, but only if you want to land manually, if you want to autoland you must use approach hold switch, and i confess that i dont know too how to use app hold switch
@domhlav It's all sorted now. I've figured out what to do. You use NAV Hold to line up with the runway, then use APP hold once: a) the plane is lined up with the runway, and b) the GS Indicator has started to move. The APP hold then flys the ILS for me :-) YOu need only to tune the RW course into CRS box, and the ILS Freq into NAV1 :-)
everything is ok, theres only one thing i dont understand- WHEN i have to start descend, sometimes atc tell me that, but sometimes not, and I always fly over the airport and atc is still not speakin to me, PLEEEASSE HELP ME!!
ohh im sory im idiot, i found out how to do it, but theres last thing i dont understand, i dont understand some commands of ATC, but never mind, i gonna find somewhere tutorial for ATC, so thanks a lot
well, when im approaching the airport, and i open the atc box, so theres for example- Tune Prague Approach on "some frequencey" well i put it into the COM1, after that i put the runway frequency into the NAV1, and i switch it, then the ATC box write me request IFR clearence , and request class B for something, i dont remember what, and so on, and i dont know what i have to do
but wait, i maybe know why it doesnt works to me, cause when im approaching the airport, the atc write me- request class B for something i dont remeber what, and request IFR Clearence, and so on, and because im beginner of this game so i dont know how to request
@domhlav class b airspace transition is for VFR. To clear an IFR flight you need to go to the atc at the beginning, and either go to [airport] clearance (usually for larger airports) or tower, and request 'IFR Clearance'. Make sure you respond to the radio calls from ATC ASAP, otherwise they cancel your flightplan :/
@FF35Pilot yep this things i know and i do them, when im taking off all of these things i always do, i think that problem is somewhere else, as i said, atc sometimes tell me to descend but sometimes not, maybe i do something wrong, but this is not it, but thanks x)
well i tried to do that exatcly as you, but theres one problem, the Radio is not speaking to me, only by morse code, i dont know if i have wrong settings or what

Hi great video!. i have a big problem.... :( when i set my autopilot on (altitude and vert speed on) the plane is DECENDING very much! please help i really want to autopilot please!!!
MrPorcha 7 months ago
@MrPorcha Use the Vertical Speed knob to adjust the rate of your decent.
fsx767 7 months ago
@fsx767 Yes but when i set altitude to 7000+ and vertical speed to 1800+ the plane is decending and crash! :(
MrPorcha 7 months ago
@MrPorcha The plane should realize the altitude that you set it to. Does the altitude hold come on when you're coming close to your set altitude?
fsx767 7 months ago
@fsx767 YES YES YES!!! Finally its work!:) the problem was the trimmer was wrong position!:S thanks for follow my problem mate!
MrPorcha 7 months ago
do you have to make a flight plan to use this ?? (of can u just make a free flight?)
feastsinmalta 8 months ago
@feastsinmalta I would recommend filing a flight plan before attempting an ILS landing.
fsx767 7 months ago
What is FL? and also, how vertical speed changes? Thanks!
StudyAcademic 8 months ago
@StudyAcademic - FL stands for flight level. The term is used when an aircraft is at 18,000 ft or above. (i.e- FL380 = 38,000 ft) The vertical speed can be changed by the V/S button and the knob on the right (or left) side of the MCP (autopilot cntrl area). The more you increase the V/S the lower the speed you will be at because your pitch would be too high. However, the less you decrease the rate in the V/S the more your speed will go up because you're descending.

@fsx767
StudyAcademic 8 months ago
@StudyAcademic
ring to 1500 feet.
StudyAcademic 8 months ago
What stays at 0:42 is not fully true. VFR traffic can make ILS landings too.

@246gift great to hear!
fsx767 9 months ago
@GIDAN2987 find the one you want, download it, and if its a compressed file (zip or win RAR) take the file out. so that its all in one folder. and paste it in the aircraft section :P
90Blakey 9 months ago
I got a question, how you land at an airport which the runway has no ILS? Like TNCM there's ILS in FS2004 TNCM.
Tranzorr 9 months ago
@Tranzorr If you don't have that, you should plan your decent manually. When I say that I mean ask the controllers to get a decent to around FL260 (it depends on your cruise alt.) because if you don't do that, you will usually be a little bit too high for your final approach.
fsx767 9 months ago
Drakzor i'm using a GPS IFR flight so i'm using the navigational autopilot
Does it works too
saints4fs 10 months ago
@GIDAN2987 set throttle 2 zero. then, just press and hold F2. That will engage the reverse thrust
tg23399 10 months ago
Wow nice! Are you a pilot irl? :D
Drakzor98 10 months ago
@Drakzor98 no I'm not, hoping to be that tho ;)

jimliras313 and yes it also depends on the weight of the aircraft
mitsomantras1 10 months ago
jimliras313 yes ofcourse!anyway in fs2004 165 and below is an safe speed fir landing!i dont know much of a real 747 landing
mitsomantras1 10 months ago
you don't have to be flying IFR to preform an ILS landing. if you want you can just land without ATC or you can open the ATC window, select the nearest airport option, select the airport you want to land at and then select the full stop landing option
jimliras313 10 months ago
Wow this is truly something. I couldn't have explain this better my friend! Good job! Thumbs up!

thanks now i do ils landings
Chamath5 10 months ago
What good does it do to turn the NAV hold on? If you still have the HDG hold on, and after that when you turn the APP hold on the NAV goes off.
orbitair 10 months ago
@orbitair it prepares localizer/glideslope
fsx767 10 months ago
want to know about altimeter Should I hold altitude all time when landing.
MaLenZa 11 months ago
@MaLenZa You shouldn't have to touch the altitude hold when landing, the glideslope and localizer should take you right in .
fsx767 11 months ago
@fsx767 Yes but When it final altitude not decrease it still increase up I don't know why it happen ? I use simmersky model 330-300
MaLenZa 11 months ago
@fsx767 Now I can land ILS Thanks you again
MaLenZa 10 months ago
i can't find that on a 747 panel
samuelli117 11 months ago
great vid really helpfull...what is a good approximate speed for approch
GaZaY0UTHchris 11 months ago
@GaZaY0UTHchris that depents on the aircraft!if your are on a 747 160 knots is good if youre on a chessna 75 knots
mitsomantras1 10 months ago
@mitsomantras1 160 knots for a 747 is a lot, 150 knots tops, plus it all depends on the weight of your aircraft (larger weight, larger approach speed). You wouldn't land a 747 fully loaded [no 747 pilot does that (and/or would not)] because you would be over the maximum landing weight and crash.
jimliras313 10 months ago
@mitsomantras1 i have to make a correction about what i said that a 747 landing at 160 knots is alot. i've seen a video of a 747 landing at it's maximum landing weight and it's landing speed was 162 knots
jimliras313 10 months ago
do you use a joystick
TheNTKiLLER 11 months ago
@TheNTKiLLER Yes I do, it's the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro

Nice Video! If you have LNAV and VNAV which one in replacement for NAV HOLD?
TheFsfreak 1 year ago
@TheFsfreak LNAV and VNAV work for planes that use the FMS (i.e the PMDG jets, Captain Sim 757, Quality Wings 757 .... etc.). I made this tutorial for just the basic default planes that do not include a FMC/FMS.
If you want to learn how to do an ILS with LNAV and VNAV setting, find a tutorial on youtube for your aircraft that you are trying to do the ILS approach with.
Thanks for watching though.... Greatly appreciated my friend!

@smiley2990 30,000. You put flight level (FL) infront of an altitude if it's 18,000 ft. or above. Otherwise, just say the altitude if you are below FL180.

when i put the approach hold on, my plane will make a slight turn to intercept, then suddenly do a sharp turn upwards and away from the ILS feather?? help pls
FF35Pilot 1 year ago
@FF35Pilot usually it will climb to reach your altitude that you assign on your MCP area, if you do set it to a lower altitude as in what ever the atc controller will give you, like 2000, or say 2500.
Let me know if this will work ;-)
fsx767 1 year ago
@FF35Pilot thats strange, i do this so that i switch approach hold switch when im line up witth the runway, and then after few seconds i turn off autopilot and land manually, and it works, so i think that the approach hold switch is for nothing, but only if you want to land manually, if you want to autoland you must use approach hold switch, and i confess that i dont know too how to use app hold switch
domhlav 1 year ago
@domhlav It's all sorted now. I've figured out what to do. You use NAV Hold to line up with the runway, then use APP hold once: a) the plane is lined up with the runway, and b) the GS Indicator has started to move. The APP hold then flys the ILS for me :-) YOu need only to tune the RW course into CRS box, and the ILS Freq into NAV1 :-)

@FF35Pilot exatcly
domhlav 1 year ago
@domhlav I just put a video on my channel I used approach hold to land, and not everything went to plan. Autopilot has no sense of safety :/
FF35Pilot 1 year ago
everything is ok, theres only one thing i dont understand- WHEN i have to start descend, sometimes atc tell me that, but sometimes not, and I always fly over the airport and atc is still not speakin to me, PLEEEASSE HELP ME!!
domhlav 1 year ago
Hey man why is the airplane didnt turn itself?
NumanFsl 1 year ago
ohh im sory im idiot, i found out how to do it, but theres last thing i dont understand, i dont understand some commands of ATC, but never mind, i gonna find somewhere tutorial for ATC, so thanks a lot

im trying to do what you told me but my aircraft just dont line up as it should
heelp! D:
mathy28oo 1 year ago
@mathy28oo when you say that it doesn't line up, what exactly do you mean?
fsx767 1 year ago
and when im taking off so the atc write me for tune some frequency to ATIS
domhlav 1 year ago
well, when im approaching the airport, and i open the atc box, so theres for example- Tune Prague Approach on "some frequencey" well i put it into the COM1, after that i put the runway frequency into the NAV1, and i switch it, then the ATC box write me request IFR clearence , and request class B for something, i dont remember what, and so on, and i dont know what i have to do
domhlav 1 year ago
dude this was awesome. I was throwing my toys out of the box because I couldn't land the bloody thing. Now I can do it. Thanx
akasuperted 1 year ago
hmm, thats strange, so you dont think thats by wrong settings? cause i set up IFR, and the ATC didnt speak to me
domhlav 1 year ago
@domhlav when you first open the atc box, what do you see??
fsx767 1 year ago
but wait, i maybe know why it doesnt works to me, cause when im approaching the airport, the atc write me- request class B for something i dont remeber what, and request IFR Clearence, and so on, and because im beginner of this game so i dont know how to request
domhlav 1 year ago
@domhlav usually when you set up an IFR flight, this won't happen at all.
fsx767 1 year ago
@domhlav class b airspace transition is for VFR. To clear an IFR flight you need to go to the atc at the beginning, and either go to [airport] clearance (usually for larger airports) or tower, and request 'IFR Clearance'. Make sure you respond to the radio calls from ATC ASAP, otherwise they cancel your flightplan :/
FF35Pilot 1 year ago
@FF35Pilot yep this things i know and i do them, when im taking off all of these things i always do, i think that problem is somewhere else, as i said, atc sometimes tell me to descend but sometimes not, maybe i do something wrong, but this is not it, but thanks x)
domhlav 1 year ago
well i tried to do that exatcly as you, but theres one problem, the Radio is not speaking to me, only by morse code, i dont know if i have wrong settings or what
