guys just dont finish the quest! its the best outcome! dog lives to be ur companion without dying (classed as quest item) that daedric prince rots in the cave (good cuz he wantes u to kill the dog) AND u get to keep the axe! (cannot remove from inventory)........

Guys, if you want an immortal dog, just don't finish the quest. I've done all sorts of sh*t with Barbas and he aint dying. Just note that if you are stealth, the dogs detects you.

Woah, that's not what happened in my game at all. When I gave him the dog back, I wanted to talk to barbas like you did, but as I was talking to him, Clavicus was talking as well. When he gave me the helmet, the statue disappeared (and I mean completely gone) and Barbas was all alone in the cave just standing there. I tried talking to him but he didn't say anything. I felt bad because it reminded me of the scene in Futurama were the dog was waiting for his master Fry :(

@megapeanutbutter69 if you wanna do that you have to point at a item and hold a (xbox 360) or x (ps3). or if you have the telekenisis spell you could do it that way. and yes just keep holding the button and you should be ableto swing anything around.

people it´s easy to have either one of the two. just open the console and tipe player.additem and the id of the item.... i know it's cheating but if you made a mistake you can simply add the item you want and drop the other

@guitarguy1634 Power in a game like Skyrim isn't all that important to tell you the truth. You get good at the skill that pertains to the specific combat you are doing and then almost any weapon in that area of you expertise is useful + this axe is unique and look kickass. If you get all over powered your not going to have as much fun with the game + the most powerful stuff like daedric looks so abstract and gay. I run with good looking equipment that's fairly strong = pure fun.

another daedric artifact is in whiterun in the Inn place where u can sleep...when the guy offers to have a drinking contest accept and do the quest proceeding...it eventually leads to a BADASS staff that has an insane effect

Go to solitude find dervenin (he's usually walking around the market area) talk to him and except his quest to his master which is a daedra lord I believe once you complete the mission the daedra lord will give you his staff ( you must finish the dark brotherhood storyline to activate dervenin) just another rare I found when I purchased the house there (:
