Although the song released with the LP "Ich Glaub' an Dich" in 1969, there's a strange allegoric connection of the lyrics with events that took place at the time the "Ich Bin" TV special was videotaped. The lyrics tell us about wild swans who escape from our miserable world up to the blue sky, to freedom...in May 1970, some people escaped from an library reading room to their destiny...the rest is history. And by the way who are the guys on the mugshots at 1:26 ?
Marvellous video!!! The absolute gorgeous Vicky at the peak of her freshness and youth. It's a bit ironic though that for a few votes lost the opportunity to become a MP of the Greek Parliament with Socialist Party at 2007 elections. Art and life would coincide.
An addition to my previous comment: As I do'nt speak German (I'm Greek) I put at google translation - German to English - the german versions of several songs by Vicky. What I can tell is that the lyrics of the german versions most of the times are superior. The greek lyrics sound a bit "chlidish" and naive, full of loves, tears, separations, etc etc. This song in greek is an ordinary love song, but I prefer the German version with the hidden political messages.
Wunderbar!

I must also note that the singing performance of the German version is much better than the Greek one ( the latter sounds "oversweet").
