I didn't know there was a video for this song. She was really sick then. She said in an interview that when they shot the album cover for Learn to Sing like a Star, they had to crop the photo to just her mouth because she looked dead. Glad she recovered. Think she even has health insurance now. It's a scary world for musicians. I absolutely love her music. So psyched for Crooked.
I had a crush on Kristin in my senior year of high school... I would see her in the hallway at her locker and was mesmerized. Wait - I think I still have a crush and it's been 20-something years ago.

I'm a bit sad 'cos I feel she's loosing a bit of her voice. Please, Kristin, take care of your vocal chords. We need to hear many more songs from you!!
I dont think you can compare Kristins' voice to as it was 10 15 or even 20 years ago...of course Her voice is gonna change, everyones does, but K's voice has just been consistently in our ears, so we notice changes...I'm glad She's not doing the same stuff and is evolving..Kim Deal's Tanya Donelly's and Frank Black's voice have all changed too..but that's life eh.
I did not mean it has changed in THAT sense. The way she sings is absolutely amazing but it wears out your chords. All the screaming we like so much is not good. You can notice it when she sings songs where there are acute notes. It is harder for her to reach them. Of course everyone evolves, and I'm happy about that. :)
I personally quite like garoux des larmes, but only for nostalgic reasons. There are plenty of songs I don't like, but I prefer the 80's and early 90's stuff.
i'm not very nostalgic, but i love Garoux des Larmes. my fave version of that song is her solo acoustic version on the A Cleaner Light ep. it rocks as hard as the original.
she's a legend..as great as kathleen hanna (in my book i hope b4 i die)

You guys she still screams in 50 Foot Wave! This is amazing work and very well developed from her other solo work IMO.
