  • P.S. wait till there are no food on the shelves of walmart,i can surly tell you that you won't be counting calories then or worried about carbs or anything that has to do with what eating this or that have to do with your health. Don't be mad it's just my opinion! yours truly the guy that doesn't buy or eat much meat because of the cost only.

  • Can you imagine if the one's that so called discovered these great land's that we live in today decided to not eat meat. they would not have made it and there fore we might not be conversing here now. Even vegetarian's get sick and some even die. When mad cow scare came out the first time my EX decided for all of us to give up meat, the second time it came out she stopped buying milk and expected me to give up what i grew up on and i could put soy milk on frosted flakes Don't think so.

  • If we vegans we're trapped with animals what would we eat?

Of course we, being so intelligent as the human being should be, would try to know what the animals are eating.

  • That is also trully egoist because your uncle just don't care about family and friends. Is like suicide but your uncle's attitude is more stupid because compared to desperation is much more easy to get over.

  • Typical types of people wants a pill for symptoms instead of finding a cause. I find they want\ a pill for everything, the pill is a concept for them, a magic tablet, sugar coated to pop in and forget. Pleasure is a powerful part of delusion and for some meat eaters their pleasure, the shear addition of it is worth their life. I understand, i truly do. I wasn't addicted to meat, though I liked it alot. I was addicted to cigarettes, however, thus understand not caring if it kills me mentality.

  • @porolita22 Now I just got through watching a video of yours where you voiced your frustration of people that eat meat taking every wrinkle, or tired spell as a sign that you should switch to eating meat and here you come with this.I'm with your Uncle if you have to give up everything that brings you joy can you really call that a life anyway?Every living thing requires eating other living things to survive.I never understood the line in the sand that vegans draw.

  • @gamesmaster35 making healthy changes in your diet is hardly "giving up everything that gives you joy" - come on! And plus, if you put in on the table.. what do you value most? A coupe of seconds of taste or your entire life? It's really mind boggling that you cannot see this.

  • It was the same with my parents 30 years ago. Thank you prolita22. You are the future. The answer IS easy.

  • Stop care about others life and choices, butterface.

  • I think the main problem in western countries is they don't have much variety in Veg.

They must take veg recipes from INDIA...and innovate it to as they require...

    as indian food is spicy....

  • This is one of the biggest problems about meat eating. Its serious and sad. I wish it would be illegal. They're is so many people that have loved ones that would still be alive if meat wasn't eaten my humans.

  • Sadly sometimes people get to darn caught up in habits and ego that they are just set against anything good for them. You may want to have him read a book called The China Study by T. Colin Campbell. It is all about natural healing and eating foods that can reverse heart issues and many other problems that people who eat meat face most often. Don't give up hope. Vegan for life!!

  • @MrZombieIsHungry More often than not, being pushy and trying to force something apon someone will indeed have the opposite effect. Sadly the person who wants to help their sick loved one doesnt realise that.

Im not a dietition so i cant say if eating meat or not is actauly bad or good. I also think that its silly (to some extent) to belive everything (or anything) just becuase its writen down. Just look at the bibble for example (I supose thats not a very convincing example if your religious)

  • That's so sad. I heard one quote that said it's easier for people to change their life partners than it is to change their diet. My friend was diagnosed with high cholesterol, and she's so stubborn. She's always eating steak and bacon. I've tried giving her some vegan recipes, but she's stubborn. So sad.

  • Yeah I agree, people needn't to be so attached to food like when I go abroad, I'll try different foods. I live in Europe so there is a lot of variety in food. I was brought up vegetarian myself, not vegan, cos my parents are veggies. Although I don't eat much dairy either. People can be very stubborn I find.

  • according to Neal Barnard study some proteins during digestion work as opiates on the brain, that's why many people feel tired ,depressed short after going vegan ,they think the b12 but that's lasts up for 3years

It's like nicotine but opiates are much stronger ,giving up needs years

When i went vegan never had any kind of cheese ,meat craving but ate tonns of dark chocolate what is similar on the brain.

Prob that's the main reason why generations eat meat for thousands years ,sounds scary...

  • My grandpa died from a stroke. My other grandpa is on his 2nd heart attack. My uncle had bypass surgery. My aunt ended up in the ER because of her high blood pressure. And just last year, I had a pretty bad scare with my blood pressure; it was 155/100. (Stage 2 hypertention!) I'm only 23 years old.

This is serious stuff folks, heart disease is slowly killing off half the population. We're talking about life and death for billions. Cholesterol is dangerous as hell!

  • Part 2:

As guys we get caught up in our ego. We think that "machomen" are supposed to eat steak, not salads. We need to let go of this "tough guy" image, and take care of our health. And we have to do this no matter how many points it deducts from our "man card". I've now been a vegetarian for six months, and I've dropped my blood pressure to 112/68. You can't let your ego get the best of you. For dinner tonight, I had barbecue tofu and a salad, and I'm not afraid to admit it.

  • Good for you. Indeed that mentality of real men eating meat is so ridiculous, and dangerous. Hope you get back on track to a healthy life soon!

    Go vegan! :D

  • (Ran out of room)

I'm Sorry about your Uncle, I hope everything works out for him. Some people just don't understand, or rather just dont want too understand.

And you are right, you going to him about it might not be..the best idea..considering arguments you have had in the past about being Vegan..It could just end up doing Harm to you, and not help him at All...I just noticed this video is a couple months old..May i ask on what his condition is at this moment ?

  • My mom watches all those Talk Shows with Dr. on it, Dr. Oz like u said, and what ever that one is with like 4 Doctors on it..And Since I'm Vegan my mom always tells me about the stuff the Dr. say about how Being vegetarian/vegan is like the best way to go and new products they talk about and stuff..And iv asked her a few times since she has herd all these Doctors talk about it, If she ever thinks she well go Vegetarian, And she always says "No" .. Flat out..With no reasons why..just.."no"

  • At 3:40 you hit the nail on the head, . . people give the stupid argument

    'well if I die 10 years earlier . .".

    They don't get this:

The reason I'm Vegan and into health is to be healthy NOW. I don't do it for living longer.

Once you stop eating meat, there are plenty (even more) foods that taste better and are not digusting like meat.

Meat is really gross and if people really knew that they wouldn't be eating it.

  • Most people don't give a damn about their health, . . they just want to "enjoy" eating their ribs, hamburgers, etc . . .

I've given up talking to people about health.

    They are just brainwashed mummies.

  • @hyppydude89. by your habits you influence peers and young people into entering a grim life, healthwise. if you dont care about your life and yet you help others into apathy then you are doing a diservice to the community. you are a direct disperser of illness by second hand smoke. your thought is poor.

  • I think the health arguement for veganism would be the weakest. That's not because it isn't healthier. It's because people don't care about their own health, and tbh that choice is theirs. I smoke and drink because I enjoy it, but only my health is suffering, and I don't really think someone has the right tell me not to. The appeal to suffering of the livestock, environmental problems etc is the real arguement as to why meat is wrong.

  • One of the greatest decisions I ever made in life was to become a committed Veggie. I so enjoy my greens, my fruit, a very low-dairy intake, and vegetable-based meals. I could never and will never go back to eating meat ever again and feel, as an animal-lover, I'm no longer living an hypocrital lifestyle loving animals and having the odd steak. No way ever again. And my health has improved and my weight loss has improved, and above all, I feel I have more energy then ever.

  • 5*! you are so cute! I want to hug you! veg kisses for you!

  • @oSadlythebest That's possibly true but if you don't try, you won't do it for even a week.

I'll never eat meat again. I have no desire too and love my food.

  • personally i think a whole plant foods diet is the best way to stop your addiction and improve your health. The concept of whole foods is that u dont mess around with the food, just eat it as it is, dont refine it, dont add flavour changing stuff to it. I am very radical about this so i even dont cook my food. And the only stuff that tastes great in a raw state is fruits and tender greens. I eat more than 10 pounds a day to get my calories in. for more: Check out durianriders

  • my mom is 170cm, 250pounds, smokes 50cigarettes a day and know her "nutrionist" told her to go on the atkins high fat high protein low carb high meat total destruction/starvation diet.(Dr. atkins diet with 55 from heart disease). My father is a similar case. They would rather die than changing what they eat. Food is a serious drug addiction since we went away from eating whole unchange plant foods without addictive additives.

  • If you love animal friends, watch this movie about our friends.. Truly amazing

The witness part 1/5 .. search it here on youtube... its amazing story of Eddie Lama the enlightened man who loves animal friends

  • A lot of people I know say stuff about me being a vegan and I don't know if it's because they're just being assholes or they're curious about it. I never know what to say and I don't really want to talk to them about it. I don't want to seem like I'm acting like I'm better than them or anything.

All of my relatives have cholesterol problems but they're just not open-minded enough to listen to me. "Oh, I don't eat THAT much meat" is always what they say. Ugh. Whatever.

  • believe me ... it's been a struggle giving up meat for me. Mostly because of the "you think you're better than me" attitude from so many people.

It's made me a lot stronger but I have still not gone completely Vegan (I love cheese! lol)

    thanks for the great video!

  • People are so stubborn and closed minded sometimes. I agree, I wouldn't bother talking to your uncle about this. He knows what you think already and if by some chance he has a change of heart he knows where to find you.

  • Hey guys,

I'm a vegetarian, trying to go vegan. My parents don't think I should but I want to. Everyone thinks I'm crazy that I don't eat meat. They think I'm not getting enough protein!

    I love your vids!

  • @clubpenguinfreak1000 My whole family thought I was nuts when I changed from veggie to vegan. Just stick with it and, in time, they'll get used to it.

  • @clubpenguinfreak1000

honestly.... most ppl don't even know how much protein ur supposed to eat in a day. it depends on ur weight, gender, and how active u r. besides that... most ppl who eat meat get too much protein, and when that happens it turns directly into fat. ignorance... what can u do? just be yourself, there will always be someone with ignorant questions or concerns.

  • Me and my brothers were just having this conversation not too long ago. There are so many people that are sick... but they rather take meds than to stop eating animals. Unfortunately my Father is one of those people :(

  • So sorry to hear that... it's just unbelievable.

  • Both of my parents could benefit from a plant-based diet but neither of them believe me. They just think I'm just eccentric vegan trying to push his ideas on to them.

  • :-( I totally understand you.

  • Sorry, my father who was pretty fit had the same issue a heart attack at 44, nearly died, triple bypass...its animals defense, so I have little sympathy as they are not the real victim.

Keep up the great work promoting the rare truth. Hope all goes well, veg meats are no sacrifice in taste!

    myspot / VegetarianVeganParadise

  • OMG that's so wrong :-/ people should not be suffering from these things at such a young age. Seriously.

  • It is unfortunate, but I guess we need to respect his decision and not judge him and love him for who he is.

  • Oh my, that's awful. :( I hope you and your family can get through to your uncle. To me, the choice to be vegan is obvious because the benefits are so good and I'm an absolute animal lover. I really hope things get better. <3

  • I'm sorry to hear about your uncle.

  • My dad gets really really bad heart burn form eating peanuts, so bad he can't do anything till it's gone. Dose he still eat the peanuts, sure does. Why? I have no idea.

  • oh goodness i know what you been , my in lwas compalin about thyre health all the time and i just wnna shout , well at least cut back on the animal fats you eat every meal! it really can be that simple!

its really not that hard eat good feel good!

  • Exactly, people pick on me for being "protein deficient" while their animal protein overload cause them these kinds of problems in the long run. Ironic? :(

  • Well if you believe in the Bible and you are a christian

then you would know that in Heaven that animals aren't eaten

everyone is vegan...so yeah..why not get a head start

0-100 years with meat the rest of eternity without haha

    I'm proud to be a veg :)

  • I've never heard of a christian say that.

They are "Gods" creatures and we should treat them with respect. Even though I'm not religious.

Way to spread the word to christian folks.

It would make them want to go vegan even more.

    peace and vegan cookies. <3

  • what also amazes me is smart people smoking cigarettes and ignore that they most likely will get very sick because of it. People have screwed up ideas of self preservation.

  • Pride may get in the way. Some people speak so loudly about what they will never do, that if they were to be found doing it they would be greatly embarassed.

  • There you have a good, but very sad point. People are stubborn. It's so dumb.

  • oh so true. oh so true.

  • Hope your uncle gets better, and hopefully converts to a plant based diet :/

  • i hope your uncle gets better soon... and i hope he tries a plant-based diet because it could really help his heath. it doesn't have to be long term, just to reverse what he's done to his body over time due to his diet...

  • I would rather die than eat an innocent animal

  • Yes!

  • @devDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD well that´s non sense. if your only choice to live would be by eating animals, that wouldnt be bad at all. that is, indeed, the cycle of life, but if you are able to eat vegetables and fruits or grains and avoid eating animals that´s totally different.

  • @ANZO89 Cycle of life can be practiced in the open... Not in factory farming wch is nothing but cowardice... Jailing babies to kill them once they grow up is somethg over wch I would choose death

  • The irrational behavior of people never ceases to amaze me. Being a dietary vegan is really the least a person can do. Abolitionism is preferred, obviously, but diet is a step in the right direction.

I hope your uncle gets better, and it would be awesome if the way he got better was converting to a plant-based diet.

  • @bummercucumber

Carbohydrates in the form of fructose and grains are the root cause of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. I understand the morality behind vegetarianism, but stop trying to hawk your nutrition-poor diet as healthy or the solution to any health problems.
