  • dude you are so funny !! amazing video y used to raise guppys when i was 11 to 15 yrs old, that was a big passion and to exciting moment when we see the babies !

  • Will she start to eat alot when she is pregnant as in once you feed them she will just come up straight away even though you had fed her about 2-3 hours ago?

  • this worries me my guppy just gave birth today but only had 2 fry..... im waiting for more shes still got a black pouch.. how many min or hours in between babys are birthed?

  • @ashleew7787 It was about 3 minutes between babies when my mama guppy was giving birth. God Bless!

  • Love this vid! I like you talking about the guppys ^^ makes it more interesting!

  • @17Indianrose Thanks for the kind words. God Bless!

  • Nice vid my female just had baby's not to long a go the baby's are 1 wk now I lost mom:( but baby's are doing soo good growing up so fast!!! Btw she had 8 not much but it was my first:)

  • @bmxhunter4 Sorry to here about the mama guppy. God Bless you and the babies!

  • Remember after the guppys "come out" keep the fish tank clean because fungus is probably the most common killer of guppies

  • Can you tell me whats wrong with my guppy ?

  • @TorontozFyx3st It's hard to say without seeing your guppy. The best thing to do is find a tropical fish store near you and ask their advice. God Bless!

  • Can you tell me if my guppy is pregnant please! And nice video

  • I love this video...seen it like 5 times now...I have a bout 14 guppies(8 female and 6 males) in a 60 gallon. Some of them look like they are pregnant but theyre probably just fat. Hoping to get some cute little babies soon :) thanks again, love the commentary..u should make more videos my friend.

  • NO TOP COMMENT, THIS IS MY CHANCE! emm... THE GUPPIES ARE AWESOME! :D

  • @100ignacio100 Glad you enjoyed it...thanks for the kind words! God Bless!

  • this is so cute

  • And how do you when she has done giving birth.

  • @AnimeWolvez My mama guppy was in the breeder box for about 2 days. I put her in when I noticed she was about to give birth and took her out right after she was done. I waited until she didn't have another baby for a long period of time and she seemed to calm down..not all wiggly and nervous looking. God Bless!

  • Wow, that tail is amazing!

  • Nice

  • HOw do u tell the differents between a male and female. IM jelous feel like buying.

  • @superdataman where did you get your breeding tank from ? Also, my pregnant guppy is acting weird how do I know when she is ready to give birth ? Thanks in advance :)

  • @ladylibra318 You don't want to put her in the breeder tank too soon...it will stress her out. I watched my mama guppy through a few pregnancies to figure out when she was going to start giving birth. Right before she gave birth the back, lower part of her belly looked like a hard corner angle instead of a rounded belly shape. She may start acting strangely like not eating or staying away from the other fish. You may have to wait until she starts giving birth before you will know. God Bless!

  • @ladylibra318 Having a breeding trap that floats on top of the water helps keep the babies from getting eaten when they are born. The one in the video is a "Marina 3-in-1 Floating Breeding Trap by Hagen" which you can get from a tropical fish store or order on the Web. You can also provide places for the babies to hide in the main aquarium, like bushy plants on the top and bottom of the tank. God Bless!

  • 01:30 I think I died

  • lol, the guy's commentary is just hilarious <3

  • I am going to buy some guppies soon and....do i get like 2 males and 3 females or 1 male and 2 females? And i think of buying a 5 gallon tank a filter, a light, and some fake plants. pls reply cause its the first time im getting some pretty and hardy guppies!

  • @defeatedqueenimkxxh it supose to be a ratio 1 male to 3 females :)

  • @urwack123 i have 1 male i think 2 but hes too young to tell, but at the moment, that male has 8 females to himself, bad news is that there his sisters, and there perents were brother and sister aswell...i need to get more guppys before i create a new breed of alien fish..lol..and of corse to prevent inbreeding..

  • Whaha that voice! Piggy ride =D

  • How do you know when she is about to give birth soon?

  • @AnimeWolvez the dark area on the female will get very dark, she will get veey fat, but most impotantly, the dark area will start to bulge...hope that helps.. :-)

  • @magneticglass Thanks.

  • @AnimeWolvez anytime.. :-) ..oh and also u can tell by her actions and her mood..if shes in the tank with the other fish sheel hide in a corner or under a plant away from the others..

  • @magneticglass Thanks

  • @magneticglass And how do you know when she has done giving birth?

  • @AnimeWolvez she will get really thin, there will be tons of babies in the tank (if she didnt eat loads of them) and one of the least obvious signs is the gravid spot (the dark area) will become a light redish-brown colour...hope that helps.. :-)

  • @AnimeWolvez It's hard to tell exactly when a fish will give birth. Unfortunately, the mama fish will not tap on the glass and mouth the words "It's time!" :-)

Right before my mama guppy gave birth the back, lower part of her belly looked like a hard corner angle instead of a rounded belly shape. She may start acting strangely like not eating or staying away from the other fish. You may have to wait until she starts giving birth before you will know.

    God Bless!

  • @superdataman Can they have babies more than 1 time?

  • @AnimeWolvez Yes, guppies can have babies about every month if they get pregnant again right after they give birth. The mama guppy will get a big, black spot on the back of their belly when she is pregnant. It takes 28 days for the babies to be born from the time she gets pregnant. I started with 4 guppies and had 150 in 6 months. I ended up just giving them to a pet store so they could find homes. God Bless!

  • @superdataman how u got the mother pregnant ?

  • @superdataman Does she eat the babies if yo put her in the breeder box for 2 days?

  • @AnimeWolvez The breeding trap in the video allows the guppies to fall into a separate compartment so the mama guppy cannot eat them. If a baby guppy does not fall into the bottom compartment and swims near the mama guppy, she may eat them. Unfortunately, there is no emotional attachment between the mama fish and baby fish. My mama fish didn't eat her babies, but generally in the world of fish, big things eat little things. We can all thank our mothers that they are not fish. :-) God Bless!

  • Should've used music from Insaniquarium

  • i remember when this video had 200 views

  • a minha tinha buracos no fundo eu pus uma meia de vidro para não fugirem

  • mais de quarenta bebés ! fogo o meu só deu onze

  • Lol I love how u were talking for them!(:

  • oh ma gah i have the exact same breeder tank but the babies died :(

some were eaten, some just died...

  • wow overcrowded with baby fish

  • he's not like "im here for ya" he's more like "FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!"

  • Cute Sound lol :D

  • I had a guppy that I thought was pregnant, but I learned the hard way that it was a tumor...

  • My female was pregnant when I brought her home. She is now in a breeder net. Her gravid spot is VERY dark, about the size of a pea, but she is not boxed in her belly. She is acting strage, at times, just chillin at the bottom of the net, then other times she jerks around quickly. And even rubs her belly on the plants. She's eating, but then spitting her food back out. Would you say she is close to giving birth? Regardless of her not having a boxed stomach?

  • @Jagzys87 It sounds like she is acting in a way that indicates she may be ready to give birth, but it's hard to say for sure without observing your guppy over a period of time. I pray that she has many babies...God Bless!

  • @superdataman She had her guppies last night. There is 11 total. Somehow some of the fry were outside of the breeding net. Im sure there were more that my other fish ate, especially the 2 Gourami's. I hope I find more, and my other female's are also pregnant.

  • @superdataman Well, she's done giving birth for now. I think there are more inside cause shes still dark, I have a total of 15 fry, that are still alive in the breeding net, they have already doubled in size. My molly is also pregnant, shes a huge deep orange one. very pretty.

  • Thanks for answering my question but sadly she died Tuesday giving birth. Im guessing it was her first time. Thanks again God Bless

  • @Kayla31455 Sorry to hear that. I pray that you are comforted during this time. God Bless!

  • Thank you for narrating the daddy's voice. It was funny.

  • @KaitlynElisabeth18 Glad you enjoyed it...thanks for the kind words! God Bless!

  • Congratulations to Big Mama! Shes a really nice mommy I guess!

  • 1:40 Machin gun xd jajajajajajaja

  • How many gallons was your tank?

  • @MrCraftsman123 The tank used in the video is a Marineland Eclipse System Six (6 gallon) which comes with a water filter and light. You can also use the Marineland Dual-Temp Precision Aquarium Heater. God Bless!

  • I always thought that all fish did the egg laying bit, kind of like how most frogs do. Squirt out some eggs, they get fertilized and things go from there o_O

  • @StrayingSoul Guppies are live-bearers which means the babies hatch from eggs inside the mama guppy before they are born. The mama guppy will get a big, black spot on the back of their belly when she is pregnant. It takes 28 days for the babies to be born from the time she gets pregnant. The eggs hatch inside of the mama guppy and then she must push the babies out, the babies are not pushing themselves out of her. God Bless!

  • @superdataman Ahhh, okay. Nifty :o I have learned something today!

  • How do you know when they are ready to give birth?

  • @Mriknowimcool You don't want to put her in the breeder tank too soon...it will stress her out. I watched my mama guppy through a few pregnancies to figure out when she was going to start giving birth. • I have a pregnant guppy and she has big knots in her belly, does this mean she will have her babies soon?

  • @Kayla31455 I watched my mama guppy through a few pregnancies to figure out when she was going to start giving birth. • I started to laugh when u were narrating and i cried when that one guppy didnt make it :/

  • I have an aquarium with a lots of tropical fishes and i made a video.

You can watch it on my channel.

You can leave me your comments and opinions if you want.

  • @samaqua96 You have a beautiful aquarium! I really like all of the plants you have. Your fish are very pretty. God Bless!

  • @superdataman

    Thank you very much !

  • Yesterday, when in woke up in the morning, i found 5 baby fry but i dont know who gave birth since all of mines have black tails.they r very tiny compared to urs like 2x smaller than yours. do u think my black guppy will continue to give birth cuz it only gave birth to 5.

  • @AndrewLoveFries It is possible, but very unlikley. Guppies have been known to give birth to 1 to 200 fry. It all depends. God bless!

  • My guppy just started to give birth, she's squeezed out about 6-7 but now she's stopped, I know there's still more cause she's making wierd movements like she's flexing or something. but I know there's more cause he's Travis spot is still really dark and shes still huge... do you know what might be happenig right now?

  • wat do u feed the fry?

  • @urwack123 Adult guppies can be fed the standard flaked fish food. The babies can be fed special liquid fish food or just grind regular flaked fish food into a fine powder. The babies will grow quickly and after a few weeks they can be moved out of the breeder tank and put into the regular tank. I've always used TetraMin flaked fish food. I've also fed some frozen brine shrimp and/or frozen blood worms from time-to-time. God Bless!

  • I bought a tequilla sunrise male and 2 fancy females today. They won't mate. Is there a problem, or are they just adapting?

  • @ben191209 When guppies are introduced into a new environment sometimes they need time to get used to it. The main three considerations are clean water, proper water temperature, and high quality food. The ideal temperature for most freshwater tropical fish is between 76 and 80 degrees F. I kept my water temperature at 78 degrees F. God Bless!

  • @superdataman Thanks, man! I got some more guppies the other day. @ least 3 females are pregnant, and im excpecting fry in 3 weeks or so. I might have multiple moms in the breeding tank at once because they are all at the exact same stage in pregnancy, so i'll have a lot of turtle food! LOL! God Bless.

  • the dads tail's are GORGEOSE!!!!!!!!!

  • how cutie! but do you sell them or keep them?

  • @MrBreyercrazy Some local pet stores may purchase your guppies. They may give credit toward other merchandise. This is a way to reduce your population. I started with 4 guppies and had 150 in 6 months. I ended up just giving them to a pet store so they could find homes. God Bless!

  • i bought 6 gruppies and now only left 3 gruppies....:( the other 3 gruppy death after i change the water....

  • at 2:00 nice fish at the back

  • OMG My auntie has been breeding guppies for about 6 times and i think my guppy is pregnant

  • oh by the way i loved watching your video and the funny comments you made :) when i first started i tried those special breeding things and watched till i seen one born deformed with 2 heads :( it couldn't get down in the slot and its momma ate it, after that i decided i didn't want to watch, yeah the males and other females will try to eat the babies that come out, but they only pick on the deformed ones, the healthy ones get away fast, they are born knowing what to do RUN and HIDE in grass :)

  • some varieties of fish do the egg thing but many are live birth like us and whales, you could do a search about it, its very interesting :) i have a 29 gallon tank full of guppies, been taking care of / breeding guppies for over 20 years, i started out with a 5 gallon tank and it seemed too much trouble so i tried a one gallon lol even worse, but then i went to a 10 gallon much easier then several years back i got the 29 gallon, so easy to take care of them now :) i do nothing special,

  • I like the music no one sings :)

  • lol at the person video taping this...funny much

  • WHAT THE HELL EVER HAPPENED TO FISH LAYING EGGS?!?! SERIOUSLY WTH?!?!?!

  • I ain't no fish expert or nothing, but don't fish lay eggs?!

  • lame and graphic

  • PLease go to my channel and check if mines pregnant

  • Do you think my guppy fish is Pregnant?

  • do you have to worry about inbreeding?

  • I used to have guppies. Sometimes the mommy ate the babies :O

  • How do you no when to put her in the breeder box?

  • I wish my blue guppy would just give bird. She's been pregnet ever since I bought her(I can tell she's pregnet since I can see tiny bodies in her) and she hasn't given birth YET!

She's been pregnet for about 4 months now.

I would think since a fish's pregnacy is about a month, she'd just let them go by now.

  • The babies look like little sperm...:D

  • Hahahaaaa...dude..you have toooo much time on your hands..lol..but it was entertaining......those fish would be dinner if it wasn't for that birthing case.

  • i just spent 9 minutes watcjing a fish give birth...i pleased with myself

  • que bien tambien un pez les tuvo

  • You so funny haha

  • woah she is one big MAMA!! I think my guppies are pregnant could some1 plz go to my channel bradboy551 and watch my video called guppy breeding tank and plz watch it and tell me if theyre pregnant thanks:P

  • my guppy gave birth less than a week after i got her at the pet store....she didnt look pregnant at all

  • hey nice guppies man. question i had was i cant tell when my female guppies are gonna give birth. any suggestions? my females dont get as big as urs and so far theyve had about 15 fries only.

  • baby fish: can i have a piggy back ride!?

mom: no get off of me!!

    xD

  • I just bought 3 guppies (2 males, 1 female) and one of the females is obviously gravid. My roommate used to "breed" guppies (i.e. let em do their thing without a breeder tank) rather successfully. Is a breeder tank absolutely necessary?

P.S. Fantastic commentary -- that coupled with the tropical music really makes the video

  • @TheSnikkerdoodle

No, Breeding Traps are an option. Think of it this way.

the guppy females are known to stress out in them, but if you put them in there right before birth, they will likely be okay. I currently have 4 Guppies(3 females, 1 male) and about 37 fry in a 20 gallon. The fry were all free raised in the tank, and as far as I know, only 1 or 2 have been eaten. The trap is completely preference.

  • My first guppy is about to give birth soon.. I'm so excited :D

  • @SmileChicky Did your guppy have babies yet? God Bless!

  • @SmileChicky have they now? nice christmas present :D

  • PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY GUPPIES GO TO MY CHANNEL AND SEE MY VIDEO THANKS

  • @REALI5R3AL The guppies in your video look like they are ready to give birth anytime. The water looks very cloudy...or is that just the glass is covered in algae? Clean, warm water and high quality food makes for happy, healthy guppies. God Bless!

  • lol i just bought 6 guppies and 4 swordtails at big als aquarium store yesterday and i woke up to find 12 baby guppies in my tank :P i put em in a breeder box 4 now..

  • @pawn3d167 Congratulations on your babies! God bless you and the babies!

  • The dad has a nice colour

  • You are such a nice guy lol

  • The little deformed one and the smushed one made me sad :(

  • "shes a machine gun" LMFAAAAAAAO, i died!

  • mine just gave birth!

  • I just own 3 different tanks. One's for the Mama and Daddy fishies (and when they're going to birth, I use a fish breeder tank to divide the Mama from the others), another tank is for the older babies (3 month old +), and a tinier one for any new born fish. I do this to help separate them from the bigger fish, preventing them from being eaten. I made the mistake of putting new born guppies in with the months old to find them being eaten. I saved about 10 of them and bought a tiny 2.5 gallon.

  • Hi again! My guppies keep having babies and I currently own over 40 guppies in a 30 gallon tank... I have a couple questions... For 1, where do you find those GORGEOUS guppies? And 2, how old does a female guppy need to be to give birth...? I have so many that are about 21/2 months but one of those girls has a squared, roundish belly... Finally, what should a pregnant females gravid spot normally look like during pregnancy? I know mine usually have blackness at the top and pinkishness towards t

  • Moi j'en ai eu hier , mais seulement 2 ...

  • my guppy had like 100 babies haha

  • Your commentary mixed with the music simply makes this video (as well as giving it an informative quality). ^-^

  • @Meowsicle Glad you enjoyed it...thanks for the kind words! God Bless!

  • Love the blue dad fish he was there for her man, HE WAS THERE FOR HER!!! hahaha

  • do the females eat the babies after giving birth because a guppy of are's had like 15 babies and then ate them how do you stop them from doing that or what do you do when they have babies

  • @alexmaldonado209 Unfortunately, there is no emotional attachment between the mama fish and baby fish. My mama fish didn't eat her babies, but generally in the world of fish, big things eat little things. We can all thank our mothers that they are not fish. :-) God Bless!

  • @alexmaldonado209 I see. Is that difficult to rare it?

  • if you just get the net breeder where theres no bottom lik the one in the video will the mother eat the fry and please check my video i dont know if shes prego?

  • keep an eye on the adult fish, they eat the babies sometimes, especially the males

  • If i have enough could i raise feeder guppies in with my turtle?

  • @ben191209 Yes, I know a guy who has guppies in with other larger fish so the guppies breed and the babies become food for the other fish. It the circle of life...big things eat little things. God Bless!

  • wow, great video!

  • i have a girl and a boy, they only had 2 babies, 1 died :( i love the babies :D they are so small and cute.

  • @TheNotyownz Congratulations on your baby! God bless you and the baby guppy!

  • machine gun mama :)

  • lol sure was mistress

  • this was unexpectedly entertaining

  • lol I love the narration going on xD "momma give me a piggy back ride" "Get offa me im giving birth to your brothers and sisters!"

  • Dad: What should I do?

    Mom: Go get some water!

    Me: XD *rotflmfao*

  • How Cute!!!! House many were born?

  • Ive only got one tank, a 10 gal with 2 platys and 4 guppies... One of my females is pregnant, and I dont have a spare tank... if i put a breeding mop in the tank would atleast some of the fry live? Or do I have to get a guppy breeding cage like you have and put her in when she looks ready?

  • how did i even get here????????!!!!!!!!!

  • My 8 yr old daughter really loved watching this and listening to you narrate. :)

  • haha "mummy can you give me a piggy back ride?" LOOL Joker

  • Can the new born guppies just eat normal fish food when they're first born?

  • Can i know how long will the guppy only got pregnant?

  • does the mama guppy eat her babies? (like other fish) and how would u no if she dont hav baby guppies any more? and like do they need moss while the guppy mom have guppy babies? i heard they do

  • i tried breeding guppies but every time we get them pregnant then the birthing is fine the fathers eat them what should i do?

  • @theBobChow Separate him from the tank once she starts giving birth

  • My female tryed to eat somw fry!

  • great narration :P

  • That's very nice. I have got 6 baby guppies now. I'm keeping them in a breeding net till they get little bigger so I can move them safely to a different tank. I'm sure the babies will look perfect in my snails tank!

Lol @ that blue male guppy who's trying to get to the femaile (and to the babies to eat them)!

  • @burgessdraw434 ok thanks very much (:
