I saw this movie a while ago and it didin't have ANY action. The closest thing to action is when they're requesting permission to snipe a Iraqi officer, and they deny his request. Also, they say the "f bomb" in 1 out of 3 sentances. It was a good movie. It's more like a suspenseful submarine movie. If you're looking for action, watch something else. overall, I <3 this movie.

I remember much about Kuwait and Somalia, I never thought of the opposing forces as "evil", but rather something keeping me from accomplishing a mission, and as a United States Marine, I wasn't going to let that happen. In combat, while you are there, things are black and white, you accomplish the mission, period. John Lennon's song "imagine" is just that, an imaginary world much like Avatar or any other fictitious land, not reality based.

I saw this movie a while ago and it didin't have ANY action. The closest thing to action is when they're requesting permission to snipe a Iraqi officer, and they deny his request. Also, they say the "f bomb" in 1 out of 3 sentances. It was a good movie. It's more like a suspenseful submarine movie. If you're looking for action, watch something else. overall, I <3 this movie.

Everyone who has done his military service, like me, knows this. He sings that the people at home will be proud of him, but he know that he has been doing some pretty fucked up shit in the war, and he dosent know if he wants them to be proud of him for that.

I've never been in a war, but I'll guess that, like said in the movie, you wont think about politics when someone shoots at you, you just shoot back.

Whn you join the military you know whats going on or what you might have to do. Nobody said joining the military would be easy or you wouldnt have to go to war. They call it the military for a reason we stand by our country through thick and thin and if it wasnt for us we'd be speaking german or japanese. So quit hating on the military and the kids who joined still had to make the decision to join. Every 18 year old thinks that they are indestructible so all the blame doesnt go on the recruiters

i really dont mean to start an arguement but corretc me if im wrong, the meaning of this song is to show what the military really does to you, its nothing like movies or video games, it starts out fun in training and you become popular ect. but eventually all that comes from it is murder of the bad and the innocent and its not all that it was meant to be. and in the end about the flag, i think its meant to show his respect to that woman.
