vilma can cry pretty, and at a drop of a hat, but she doesn't have nora's soulful grasp of her roles. vilma 's acting is very accessible, and therefore , easily popular but doesn't leave much of an impression. nora's acting, on the other hand, is always complex and layered..never for easy viewing but will reward you with unexpected nuances and artistic delights even after years of repeat viewing.
it will be a long time, perhaps never..before anyone can eclipse nora's timeless artistry.

vilma can cry pretty, and at a drop of a hat, but she doesn't have nora's soulful grasp of her roles. vilma 's acting is very accessible, and therefore , easily popular but doesn't leave much of an impression. nora's acting, on the other hand, is always complex and layered..never for easy viewing but will reward you with unexpected nuances and artistic delights even after years of repeat viewing.
it will be a long time, perhaps never..before anyone can eclipse nora's timeless artistry.

Your specific details about her shortcomings as a person makes me think that you were someone formerly close to her who got frustrated or are you a paid entity with a task of destroying Nora Aunor? You have so much hatred in your heart. Even if I don't adore your idol I would never say bad things against her even if its real.

sha sha. at lest ikaw mejo may pinagaralan yung mga kasama mo ang babastos tingnan mo pa lang ang mga screename nila, grabeh ha. pero dahil lab na kita sige peace tayo pero kapag binastos pa nila ang kagalanggalang na governor vi maghahalo ang balat sa tinalupa. sige, ay galing galing naman ni ate guy, grabeh sa husay, pati ang himala wala akong masabi, ccn asia's best picture of all times. aray koh!

To be honest with you how I wish Nora will have the same way of handling her career and personal life like your idol but she is complex and different.However I've accepted both Nora's strengths and weaknesses and still appreciate her artistry!!!!

Ang galing talaga ni Nora Aunor. I remember we invited Ihsmael Bernal sa Film Critic class namin noon in my college days sa UST. We discussed this film. Sabi niya kahit patayuin mo lang si Ms Aunor sa isang sulok na walang dialogue, umaarte na siya dahil sa expression lang ng mukha niya at mga mata.

Ishmael Bernal will live "forever" because of this momentous scene. Amazing how he handled this crowd in the most brilliant way possible. Saludo ako sa iyo, Bernal. Bravo!
Kudos to Nora Aunor who is all over this film from start to finish. She is at her best and worthy of 1982 best actress award, noon at ngayon.
Kudos to Ricky Lee for a brilliant screenplay. "Tayo ang gumagawa ng himala! Tayo ang gumagawa ng mga sumpa at ng mga diyos. Walang himala". What a dialog! It's rebellious yet true.
