To be fair, I think the costumes were an attempt to depict Father Williams and the boy. Why they made them look like Ben Franklin and the lost Von Trapp child, the world may never know..
@bigtool66 Yes it is I got it out from my library when they had it but I don't know what happened to it because I haven't seen it there. I'm guessing that it either got lost or was damaged.
You r old said the youth as i said before and has grown uncomminly fat yet u turn a back summer slat in at the door pray what is the reson for that ! the catepillar guy is cross eyed wanna see 2:05 to 2:08
@Jovanneebighead13 "the catepillar guy" is Sammy Davis, Jr. He lost an eye in an auto accident in the early 60s... the eye that doesn't move is a prosthetic/glass eye.
Been watching "Alice" trailer and listening to song "WONDERLAND" by band "Pullman Standard" at Hollywoodswan90 on YouTube is DEFINITELY worth the listening!
I LOVE this version of Alice in Wonderland, and this is my favorite scene, with the great Sammy Davis Jr. His performance is supreme.. I never get tired of watching this..
Ooooookay, he decides to help her with the poem..so he takes a big drag on the hookah and the costumes change and they burst into rap. What the hell was in that hookah? J/K, loved this movie as a kid, still adore the Alice story
Actually it was produced by Irwin Allen (The Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno) with a budget for a theatrical release, but he felt it needed to be at least three hours long which would be too long for kids in a theater and thought the story would hurt if he had to wait a year to release part 2. Putting it on TV made more sense and gave him immediate funding. In Europe, where distribution is quite different, he did release it in theaters in two parts about a couple weeks apart.
oh my gosh! i didn't know this was Sammy Davis Jr!! i have this on video and watched it when i was a kid.. just then saw this other clip of Sammy and i was thinking how familiar he looked so i did a little search and came to this vid!!! COOL!!
I rem watching this as a kid and thinking how annoying Alice was loll and i didnt realize this movie is quite old.
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS MOVIE FOREVER!! I found Alice in Wonderland on DVD, but had to get Looking Glass on VHS :( Why release one and not the other on dvd ;.;
Natalie Gregory? She also starred in the Disney film Oliver & Company as the voice of Jennifer Foxworth, and in the Walt Disney World Resort's Epcot theme park attraction Cranium Command as Annie. That was about it tho.. shame cuz she really is amazing!
her name is Natalie Gregory...she did the voice of the girl in Oliver and Company. I don't know that she's done anything in the business since she was a little girl. The girl who plays her sister is her real life sister.
i am moving and while packing i came across the tape my parents made when this aired on TV - when vcr's were a new thing! wow! this brings back some great childhood memories! the poor tape doesn't work anymore, so i am SO glad i was able to find on youtube! thanks for posting!!!
I wish Sammy Davis would pass me some of what the fuck he's smoking.
