bob barr is amazing. i want him to run again in 2012, and maybe find a way to advertise more and get more publicity. many people actually have libertarian beliefs, they just done know about libertarians so they call themselves republicans.
Your vote for Libertarian Presidential candidate Bob Barr is guaranteed to improve America's future! If he gets at least 5% of the popular vote in this year's election, his party's Presidential campaign in 2012 can receive millions of dollars in voluntary taxpayer funds. It will also automatically qualify to be on state ballots, thereby avoiding long and costly signature petition drives. So do the 'most patriotic good' with your vote, help America build a 3rd major political party!!!
Look at both Barr & Root. They were republicans now they are libertarians. Over the last eight years the Republican party has become the party of BIG GOVERNMENT that throws a few bones to the small government ideals. Well we need all the small government and no government people to form a coalition and move the government debate to the smaller is better side.
To those who still support Dr Ron Paul please understand that he is no longer running for President. Bob Barr has gotten the Libertarian Party nomination. He is the candidate not Dr Paul. The Libertarian Party needs to unify behind someone if it is to be invited to the major debates during future elections. Division only keeps the Republicans and Democrats in control of the government. Do you really want that?
I've heard him speak. I think he wants to build the LP. I think he is concerned about individual liberty and the role of government. You can either take him at his word or not.
Yeah but not Dr. Paul. I mean look at Bush - first he's for non interventionism, but then the hidden agenda of the corporates goes ahead anyway, (of course no one doubted that) but I mean, people just change what they are fundamentally for one minute to the next. He's a poor mans Ron Paul, but I suppose, better than either Obama or McCain...
We have to understand the reason for this. He is not a politician. He did not want to be a politician. He is a doctor, he just wanted to speak out and activate on his principles and what he believed in. If all Americans who had such an impulse acted on it, then the current swathe of evil politicians would be out of a job.
Bob Barr's views are the only ones that make sense and are genuine. It's a shame more of the public doesn't know about him. I'm telling everybody I know about him and will be voting for him this election year.
This isn't just about another choice. It's about sending a real message to the Republicans and Democrats that we are dissatisfied with their performance and adherence(or lack their of) to The Constitution. Government is to big, taxes and too high, and freedom is at an all time low.
A vote for a third party is a vote that says the two party system sucks.
I not only voted for Barr in the presidential race, I also got to vote for John Monds, a Libertarian running 1-on-1 vs. a Republican incumbant for a Public Service Commision seat in Georgia. Early exit polling has Monds getting almost 50% so far!
I watched a video a while back.. some guy said that the CFR gives viewers the truth.. what they want.. and if the masses want a third independent party they would have it.. enter Bob Barr.. wonder why Dr. Ron Paul has endorsed Chuck Baldwin.. lots happening behind the scenes people.. the only voice of reason is Dr. Ron Paul.. and he backs Chuck Baldwin... you have your answer.. but I noticed that California has recognized Ron Paul as a write in.. hmmm.. can you do that on crooked diebold..
Bob Barr is the CFR candidate and Baldwin is the candidate of the Christian, I mean Constitution Party. A party that happy to flaunt its divine inspiration in its platform and with its clergy candidates. The CFR never burned "witches" alive.
He didnt diss him, he just didnt show up cos he didnt wanna be next to Nader etc. It was fucked up cos Barr is far less great than RON PAUL. Ron Paul was our best bet, an amazing person that stands out from most politicians.
You will get no argument from me on the virtues of Ron Paul. I went to see him speak during the primaries, and I've never seen anyone raise such passion and enthusiasm in a crowd before. You could feel the rEVOLution around you. I walked away feeling energized.
I also saw Mr. Barr speak recently. He made a good speech. His delivery was smooth and his message on target. He answered questions well and was very personable. But I walked away feeling nothing. That sums up the difference in my mind.

I'm always amazed at how many mind readers there are out there. Incredible how you know exactly why Bob Barr is running.

Look at his voting record, he is the opposite of a libertarian.

Ron Paul is a once in a lifetime purist. We will not see another like him in our lifetimes.

Well unfortunately I live in California where we are overrun by crazy socialists and we lack any type of libertarian voice.

Ron Paul backed Baldwin because Barr dissed him(Paul) at his 3rd party news conference. It's no more complicated than that.
