I don't understand why apple iphones don't allow MMS. It makes no sense at all. I mean my phone doesn't because its a cheap "cricket" phone but I use to have the razr phone and send mms. Apple products are weird. They brag about so may things and then just leave out something natural that everyone uses. My phones sucks so much when I get a mms, it gives me a long url to go type in on my computer, sign in and then a small hard-to-see crapy version of whatever the image is, lol.

I went to get this update, and while it was installing (the little boot apple with the progress bar under it) was on my macbook pro battery died. Which caused my iphone to be completely deactivated and all I could get was the connect to itunes screen.

So I connected to itunes it took about an hour to re activate, update, and sync everything. but its worked fine since.

Alot of people have had this issue. There are two methods to usually fix this. Reset everything, which is under the settings menu. But my method was simple, I just put my simcard in a friends phone who's MMS worked. Then I Put it iback in mine and it worked!

AT&T is holding apple down, they need to sell the Iphone on every carrier soon. AT&T is the absolute crappiest carrier in the US IMO tied closely with T-mobile. Not the phone :) In parts of SoCal (in heavily populated areas), the ability to send and receive MMS media was very very slow or didn't work all all. Now 1am and I just retried on my 3GS and it seems to still be slow but at least it's working again. I think it's just 1st day bugs :) I did read somewhere on some techie webpage a while ago that iPhone data users make up like 35-40% of American Telephone and Telegraph's data user traffic BEFORE MMS was inabled. Imagine what it is after today?

Everthing working just fine for me on my 3GS, here in california..I could send everything via mms..pics, vids, and audio clips..Havnt had any problems today. My only complaints about iphone's mms are that we cant move audio files (save them, apply them as ringtones) and when you send a video its all choppy and everything. But hey I guess we cant get everthing right away. I hope your problem is resolved real soon man.
