Quick question. I had just recently gotten a new battery for my blackberry curve. Because the older one was clearly out, so I bought an extended one that is suppose to last longer the guy said. However, ever since i bought it and have been using my phone it's been freezing up. Especially when am texting someone it starts doing it's own thing and puts random periods and I have to keep pushing the middle button of the blackberry to get it to work normal. ok hi ... im having a problem with my keyboard ... at first the alt button was stuck and i couldntdo anything on the phone, then the a button refused 2 work all that would come up is the asterix (*) . now the e button decides its not working and when i turn off the phone the power button doesnt turn it back on so ii have to do a battery pull in order for the phone 2 turn on . any ideas on whats happening with it or how i can fix it? btw my fone has never gotten wet.

@tommyboy824 It's the equivalent of ctrl-alt-del for a PC only you hold alt-caps-del (caps is the little a big A and up arrow key on the bottom row lower right). Just restarts the phone, doesn't delete anything.

is this the manual wipe or the master reset? I purchased a used blackberry not long ago and did the manual wipeout found on the settings options and the phone didn't work correctly. I called boost mobile and over the phone they gave me a numer to punch in and voila ! it reseted the phone completely and the things that weren't working before (wifi) were working correctly after it. So theres 2 ways to reset a blackberry, a manual and a master reset.
