I agree with you, in the hospital they just want the baby out as fast as possible they don't care about the effects of all the drugs and interventions as long as their work is done quick. We need more patience in our lives! I think if people were alot more active that would help as well in terms of bringing on labour naturally.
Why would you tell your child such a horrible story about his birth. NONE of us remember our births. I think it horrible that you could not have expressed the joy of your son's birth. He's not your buddy, HE IS YOUR SON! Wow! You hippies are really something.
i applaud your information and character. many of these comments are likely actual responses to their own births. it is too bad we are in a society that has such a knee jerk reaction against the norm. in this case, that is birth, it is normal and beautiful. i wish that everyone could educate themselves on this natural functional process.
Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear on this video...I didn't mean to suggest that Andrew was a problem because of his birth via C-section, only that his birth, like every event in Andrew's life has an impact on him. Andrew and I have had extensive talks about his birth and I think he understands that his birth was traumatic and difficult, but it wasn't anything he did wrong...that maybe the doctors where wrong, but he didn't do anything to lead to a traumatic birth. I'm glad your kids are well adjuste
You are telling the child he is a problem because of how he was born. That poor child may have problems because of your problems.
I have had c-sections and my babies are wonderful, sweet, and loving children. I have seen children/teenagers that were born natural and they are brats and rebellious teens. Birth does not affect a person's future emotionally unless they are constantly told "they" were the failure. It was the doctor who was the idiot not the child.
