@watevva op. Ivy was a ska punk band and there was no trumpet at all. Saying the whole genre is based off of whether or not they have a trumpet is just ludicrous. Ska is based on offbeat guitar quick drum patterns and relies heavily on bass (like stp by sublime)

Pepper = also awesome, singer happens to sound a lot like Brad.

and Badfish is a dope cover band too. its not copying them, or ripping them off, it shows their love and respect for sublime, and even though that Brad is gone, their legacy will live on.

its easy for those who lack ears to say everything sounds the same..similar ska types, like sublime and pepper sound very similar, but if you look at alot of older ska then youd realize that sublime isnt 100% original either...i think its interesting how people feel the need to accuse everyone of copying someone else, instead of enjoying the songs... if you like sublime then youd like pepper...simple as that...its like different hardcore bands sound similar, just let it go, or "Give It Up" lol

Sublime is the only band ever to mix Ska with hip hop with reggae blend so yeah they kinda are 100% original. But I do agree if you like Sublime you'll like Pepper. They're both amazing bands, the reason I like Pepper is because there lead singer brings the same energy as Brad, something very very very very very few people can do.
