so... I've seen videos in which DJs are using analog turntables with Traktor, and are using external controllers to trigger samples and effects, instead of just plain mixing. I was just wondering if you can do the same thing with CDJs, cause I dont expect to have vinyl tables anytime soon...

I have tried to cue on different cdj's but it just wont work. whenever i press the cue button the song will pause and start on the point it was paused from.

No you can use every CDJ
