  • yeah it had to be in the gel coating....all hoods still need to be prepped before paint. ALL HOODS

  • Hhahhaah...thats funny :) It's hard to crack the fiberglass

  • did you get this exact hood tamatt27? lol jk.. great vid.. im thinking of getting this exact hood soon.

  • You're probably referring to spider cracks on the gel coat. The spider cracks can be easily be removed upon sanding down the gel coat which is the first stage of the prep work. Hope you did not pay additional to have the spider cracks removed!!

  • I'm going to have to call BS on this. My hood came with cracks in the fiberglass that had to be redone before it was painted.

  • @tamatt27 It really depends who you get it from and what you pay for it. Any good fiberglass hood with cost ya around $800 to a grand. Try to get one which use OEM specs and brackets for your vehicle. This way you don't have to worry about getting hood pins which are annoying. The best fiberglass hoods I have ever come across are from SunCoast Automotive Performance out of Florida. So not all hood are created equal so they say. They have even been GM certified which says something there.
