C&C4 WORST GAME EVER! I'm huge fan of C&C, EA ruined C&C series! EA must be shut down permenatly! All of people who work at EA CAN GO FUCK THEMSELVES WITH THEIR BLOODY HUNGRY MONEY! EA deserves burn in HELL!

They released a MMO and Renegade, which were below EA's expectations on the sales department. Westwood just used up so much capital that could have gone into better things, Like THEIR version of C&C 3...

They brought the aliens out far to early or suddenly for the story to be making sense...then they change the whole story into something that came out of where the light doesn't shine.
Ok, so I LOVED Tiberian Sun as they show you a crashed alien ship, I mean, OHHH the SUSPENSE, then they brought out C&C3 with the aliens trying to do what? I is confused.com...Are they destroying the planet or harvesting the Tiberian crystals to take home? If they did, why go to the trouble of war if they could of went to Jupiter(That big as planet) and grow green shit there? And how does Kane tie in with the "Scrin"? He an oddball believer who watches X-files saturdays? No, he's to cool to.

How can be an strategy game without gathering resources, i mean, not even in real life you can create an army without resources, this must be real science-fiction.
EA actually did a great job on Tib wars 3 and kanes wrath, but they should have thought about the STORYLINE and the FANS befora publishing that blasphemy of a game.

I think the worst thing about CnC4 wasn't the gameplay. Sure it makes no sense that a game called "Command & Conquer" giives you little to command (shitty population cap) and nothing to conquer, but it's the sucky plot that killed it all!!! At least TW had a semi-decent plot (and infinitely better gameplay).

I just hope Joe doesnt get offended by all this, he just likes being kane, its not his fault if the scrip writters tell him to spit on our faces :)
they changed it so much because in CnC 3 the critics and players were bitching about the fact that the game wasn't new or innovative enough, and it was just too old rts gameplay. I didn't really care about that, but obviously the game designers did. If they hired me I would at least do a 200 percent better job in 'making it innovative, while keeping the classical gameplay alive

Shame really. I've played other games that did away with resource gathering/base building (Dawn of war, Ground control 2) both of which are good games. In particular I like how it promotes active play and punishes turtling. CnC 4 really blew it with their attempts though.

Command and conquer started going down hill around red alert 2(yuri's revenage was better but still cheesey)when the designers started to make the game chessey on purpose,I didn't like the chesseyness of the first games, I tolerated it because the game made up for it with game play and the over all story.Joe Kucan couldn't save cnc3,when Kane started working with GDI it dosen't matter if he plays him or not anymore,if he's not the kane we know.Kane is now less cooler than corbra commander.
It's sort of the inevitable conclusion of the gradual decline of C&C after EA got hold of it. C&C up to Tiberian Sun was great, but RA2 was the beginning of the end.

Tiberian Sun: Firestorm was the last C&C game ever made, as far as I am concerned. EA ruined the series, which is not at all surprising - this company is famous for its mercantility. They'd gladly sacrifice creativity in the name of profit.

@MrChilloffi I would be very glad and extremely honored to join them, and actually it was my childhood dream to join Westwood, but I am actually not an American and it's VERY hard to get a work visa. Plus I'm dealing with a couple of my own problems right now which make it pretty much impossible for me to get any training or education relevant to the making of computer games - or even leave Europe, for that matter. If the Americans relax their immigration policy, I might give it a go someday!

@r4lovers This is incorrect. I fondly remember playing a Yuri's Revenge multiplayer game with Unholy Alliance activated. My friend and I built hundreds of units each and the only reason we stopped is because the game itself crashed, collapsing under the weight of the sheer Awesomeness.
@Hawkye sry forever to respond anywho all cnc games i have played (all red alerts tib wars and kane's wrath and more) have a pop cap they only let you have a certain number of units unless if your gdi in tib wars kw you can call in alot of transport to bring units forever until game freeze or crashes but these games have a pop cap especially red alerts. ~R4lovers

I gave ONE try at C&C4. I actually tried it at a friend's place (without knowing anything about it), and that friend had never played any of the C&C games before that one (even C&C3). At the beginning of the first GDI mission, I was like...
"Hey, dude, what's wrong with this game? I can't find the Tiberium refinery."
And he was like...
"What refinery?"
And I was like...
"..."
EA really fucked up BIG TIME with this piece of shit excuse of a C&C game.
the main problem i had was with the artistic direction it took, they made it look just like red alert 3, all cartoony and stuff, which is good for red alert, i happen to think they took it too far in ra3 though, but the tiberian series was all about realistic looking units, just look at the last game, compare the scorpion tank to the new scorpion tank, or compare the avatars, i played 3 levels of the new one and uninstalled it, re-installing kane's wrath now
I love C&C4. The population cap allow's for a more skilled aproach to the game, rather than just having more units than your foe, you actually have to micro your units and build accordingly to counter your enemy.
CnC3: KW have great cliffhanger which they could continue but they fucked up the ending of a great game. Its sad, really sad. They totally ruins the first RTS game I ever play

I agree with all negative comments about C&C 4 and the revival of Westwood Studios! God! Do I miss full CGI intermediate video! Red Alert 3 was a waste of my money! All RTS games that implore bigger bubbly units are outright annoying and have less battle-harden realism and dances around with a cartoonish trot ment for children. Plus,the highlighting of neon color around a unit (C&C 4 and Red Alert 3) are distracting and takes away from the seriousness. I really do not like these new approaches.

@MrChilloffi I would be very glad and extremely honored to join them, and actually it was my childhood dream to join Westwood, but I am actually not an American and it's VERY hard to get a work visa. Plus I'm dealing with a couple of my own problems right now which make it pretty much impossible for me to get any training or education relevant to the making of computer games - or even leave Europe, for that matter. If the Americans relax their immigration policy, I might give it a go someday!

@r4lovers This is incorrect. I fondly remember playing a Yuri's Revenge multiplayer game with Unholy Alliance activated. My friend and I built hundreds of units each and the only reason we stopped is because the game itself crashed, collapsing under the weight of the sheer Awesomeness.

@Hawkye sry forever to respond anywho all cnc games i have played (all red alerts tib wars and kane's wrath and more) have a pop cap they only let you have a certain number of units unless if your gdi in tib wars kw you can call in alot of transport to bring units forever until game freeze or crashes but these games have a pop cap especially red alerts. ~R4lovers

I gave ONE try at C&C4. I actually tried it at a friend's place (without knowing anything about it), and that friend had never played any of the C&C games before that one (even C&C3). At the beginning of the first GDI mission, I was like...

the main problem i had was with the artistic direction it took, they made it look just like red alert 3, all cartoony and stuff, which is good for red alert, i happen to think they took it too far in ra3 though, but the tiberian series was all about realistic looking units, just look at the last game, compare the scorpion tank to the new scorpion tank, or compare the avatars, i played 3 levels of the new one and uninstalled it, re-installing kane's wrath now

I love C&C4. The population cap allow's for a more skilled aproach to the game, rather than just having more units than your foe, you actually have to micro your units and build accordingly to counter your enemy.

I agree with all negative comments about C&C 4 and the revival of Westwood Studios! God! Do I miss full CGI intermediate video! Red Alert 3 was a waste of my money! All RTS games that implore bigger bubbly units are outright annoying and have less battle-harden realism and dances around with a cartoonish trot ment for children. Plus,the highlighting of neon color around a unit (C&C 4 and Red Alert 3) are distracting and takes away from the seriousness. I really do not like these new approaches.
