  • The Fats The Greats!

  • Is that Elvis at :57?

  • @smokeydman

    Yes :)

  • this song warms my heart. i heart Fats Domino!!

  • The most incredible on YT is that you can't find Fats "Natural Born Lover" One of his absolutely best songs EVER. It's on his 1960 LP "...A Lot Of Dominos!" Liner notes there said "...has sold over thirty million single records, one million long play...two million extended play...rarely has one of his singles ever sold less than five hundred thousand." Not bad for a fat black guy from NO. Wonder how many sold up to 2009?

  • If you go to: "Fats Domino Natural Born Lover" you will find it.

  • Yes, but it wasn't here 5 days ago. So it came on YT on my request. ;O)

  • But thank you anyhow for kind care.

  • Up to 2009 Mr. Domino sold between 100 and 150 million records. And Domino-Bartholomew are the most sold songwriters after Lennon-Mccartney !

  • @gullhjertet Cool

  • I absolutely love this song

    Love ya Fats

This is a shout ou to all Southern Louisiana Natives!

    Lassiez Les Bon Temps Roulez!

  • Let The Good Times Roll, indeed.....

  • This song was very influential towards the reggea genre.

  • @jerspeisn

I was actually looking for a reggae version of this song, done by a male singer & female dj combo in the late 80s, do you have it (or know who made it)?

  • @Zvabaz Mille Small, Billy Dyce, Al T. Jones, Larry Marshall and Yellowman have all done Reggae versions, but none of them have DJing on the track.

  • @jerspeisn You can "reggae" every song or instrumental

  • @jerspeisn yeh very true its where ska cam from

  • @jerspeisn really?!

  • great 2 see the king of music Elvis .......he was a good friend of fats....

  • Long live the old Fat Man !

  • first live show i ever saw was fats domino and i still love his music.

  • Rock and Roll! Awesome song!

    Kocham to!

  • Good Ole New Orleans Boy

    Louis Armstrong and Mahailia Jackson

  • Fats Domino is the best!

    Be My Guest :)

Good on Obama for becomin president aswell, McCain would have died if he came president of a heart attack.

  • the right song to start a party...

they also have a song for bye, bye "baby, bye, bye"

  • fook me listen to these two daft bastards arguing over color and creed and the world is just about to fookin obliterate with all the problems in it...give it a rest u2 none of u wud be moaning if u were in afghanistan getting rescued by each other wud ya??? now fookin stop the hatred xx

  • The Fat Man! IS the Man!

  • LMAO, I like them both too bra, but Elvis was millions of miles better than those all you mentioned. Don't get me wrong, I love Fats but Fats dropped from the music scene in the early 60's. Elvis rocked all the way to his death in '77. I suggest you go to elvisdotcom and read what the above entertainers have said about Elvis.

  • domino is a million times better than elvis, like them both, but this guy is the better singer, also little richard, chuck berry, wilson pickett there a lot better then elvis, elvis was very average, if you get past the legend and listen to the songs elvis was average.

  • The white dude next to Fats at :54, was that Elvis? couldn't tell.

  • This has a kinda proto-ska feel to it, don't ya think?

  • Yeah, it is!

    Try these ones too:

    "No More Doggin'" by Rosco Gordon;

    "Billy's Heartache" by Billy Stewart;

    "Sick & Tired" by Chris Kenner;

    "The Monkey" by Dave Bartholomew;

    Totally proto-ska!

  • Cool!

  • Search YouTube for * Bob Marley on Jamaican Music * and you'll find he agrees.

  • Love this guy, grew up listening to his music.

  • i can't find the origional can anone else

  • man I used to work with a guy who looked like Fats, Great song. Thanks for posting.

  • even Elvis who is to the most people the king

of rock music said that he is follower of

    fats domino.

  • That's true, Fats was a follower of Elvis as well.

  • would be great to go out to a club and dance to this stuff, i can't dance to cop killer volume 6 and that's all that gets played now.

  • A place with a juke box, a dance floor and really good hamburgers and old fashione Laura Scudder chips, real chocolate malts and cherry cokes.

  • @BHBrother87 i still play this on my set along side ska in pubs in sussex fattyfurlong@aol.com

  • IMO Fats didnt really sing rock'n'roll, he sang R@B and jazz...Elvis will always be the king of rock and roll ... or bubblegum rock n roll as he liked to call it lol, i love fats though.

  • Fats is rock n roll.He played the jump blues r&b kind of rock n roll.

  • Well that shows really who is the True King of Rock'n'Roll.Elvis never did give that crown back!

  • No, I like Fats as much as I like Elvis. But truthfully, Elvis is and will always be the King. Even Fats today would admit that.

  • No, Fats is the real King. That's why he used the line in this song "I'm the king but you can wear my crown". Fats knows he's the real king, he just let Elvis borrow the throne for a minute

  • No sorry I can't agree with that. There's simply no comparing the 2. If you compare record sales(over 1 billion sold), profits from concerts and just the legend, Elvis outshines Fats or everyone else. Fats himself had admitted this. Give no regard to the color of Elvis or Fats, just base your judgements on stats and talent.

  • Talent yes, but stats, record sales and all the other nonsense doesn't mean squat. Just because someone sells records doesn't make them talented, case in point; Vanilla Ice. And personally I believe that billion record figure that RCA is so famous for quoting which vast other sources have disputed is a bit, shall we say, inflated. For the real king I would suggest you research Jackie Wilson, whom Elvis heavily "borrowed" his style from but pales in comparison

  • I took your advise and research Jackie Wilson. Woe, look what I found, a quote from Jackie about Elvis: "Alot of people have accused Elvis of stealing the blk man's music, when in fact almost every blk solo entertainer copied his stage mannerisms from Elvis." This is from Elvisdotcom under quotes about Elvis.

One more quote from another gr8 entertainer named Al Green "Elvis had an influence on everybody with his musical approach. He broke the ice for all of us."

  • Numbers means everything. I've heard many make the absurd suggestion that Elvis is overrated cuz he's white, LMAO this is so absurd. As the man of color I am, it's absurd in todays society to judge entertainers or people in general based on their color. View my favorites, you'll see I have a diverse selection. I judge people by their accomplish and Elvis has accomplished a lot and will always be the King.

  • Elvis is overrated because he's white along with a laundry list of others from all walks of life. You can call it absurd if that helps you sleep at night and I would call you delusional. If he's king in your mind then good for you

  • Well thanks for admitting to everyone that UR a racist. Elvis is way underrated as far as I'm concerned. I'm a man of color( brown hispanic) and I appreciate talent. I don't look at skin color like you do. I can throw out to you all kinds of proof but you'll blind yourself to it. I'm no longer gonna waste my time. As they say in your religion asalamaleikum. Give my regards to Louie Farrakhan.

  • I never said the man wasn't talented, just that it was blown out of proportion. There were thousands whom were more talented whom never got their proper due because of the glass ceiling. If you can't see that then you're the one who is blind, deaf and really, really dumb. For every shred of proof you can provide I can match you tick for tack but it obviously isn't worth the effort for someone who is all too content to wallow in ignorance like a pig at a trough

  • Ahh, We're in 2008 not 1958 or 68. I can't convince U to not be the racist pig UR. If Fats is the king in your book so be it. To each his own taste.

  • Oh yea, almost forgot, I will give the minister your regards. And you can say hello to Elvis' nuts for me since you seem to be so fond of hugging them

  • Well since ferrykahn is gay as a butterfly, I'm sure you'd spent some time hugging his nuts! Unfortunately Elvis is no longer alive so don't try going anywhere his nuts please.

  • Oh yea, almost forgot, don't forget to vote McCain for president. We don't want a muslim racist like Obama as our president.

    McCain 2008 and forever.

  • Funny how a guy says he's no longer gonna waste his time but then posts 3 more replies. Newsflash, any time at all that you spend on earth is a waste. I'm not a believer in abortion, but in your case it may have been justified

  • a true star.

  • great

  • very cool.blessed fats

  • The Fat Man! IS the Man! I am the King but you can where my Crown! bEST LINE IN A SONG! Sing it Fats!!!! The Iceman knows! Rock on
