@bigkong20 Maybe he didn't know that the human Daxter and the ottsel Daxter were related. Or else he didn't know how the transformation occured. I don't think any of the characters told Samos much about Daxter's backstory. So that explains that plothole... sort of.

Well, I was under the impression that the new game Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier, which came out November 3rd for PSP was the fourth installment... but i said that on another video and a whole bunch of die hards thumbed down my comment and called me an idiot, so its apparently more like Jak X, and not mainstream sequel, lol

It's kind of a sequel, but not at the same time. The Lost Frontier is more or less the start of a new series/story arc, whatever you want to call it, and it takes place not long after Jak 3.
