To those of you sitting there being over-critical of him, this music may not suit you or you may not agree that it is what he says it is, but at the end of the day it is real music written from his emotions, unlike the increasing trend of utter digitalised shite that makes it to number 1 in the charts these days. His music is purchased by people that still recognise real music when they hear it and that is why he is successful. Try and appreciate the talented musicians while we still have them.
FYI my book IS listed with my publishers, it had already 2 editions and it's SOLD OUT, hurry, you may be lucky to get the last one on amazon.com, it has a 5 star review, one among many since it has been published! You are also welcome to get your "peanuts" Ph.D. in Eastern Europe, and publish a book in a language that's not your native, how about Russian, if it's so "easy?" I apologize I don't keep my website resume "current" with all my scores and achievements since 2005. I'm signing off.
@sanyahenderson If your book is so highly rated whats its name? You failed to mention that in your post. If you mention it I am sure people can check for themselves rather than take your words for it. And as for your peanuts Ph.D from Yugoslavia , people receive spam emails everyday which promises Ph.D from Yugoslavia .. for a small fee. Getting back to initial query, the guy is performing in Royal Alberts Hall.. something you can never do with your so called 'talent'..even if you sold yourself.
I absolutely love his piano music and find it so inspirational…If anybody has a free moment please check out my channel and some of my own work, Thank you and much appreciated
... amazing.. but, where is the key at 1:38 - 1:39? ludovico isnt touching anything and we can hear the new part intro... ((sorry for my english)) is.. other piano or.. other instrument..?? i hear the note but i cant see him touching any key :S

This music doesn't even qualify as background music in a massage parlor. I don't think I've ever been more repulsed by music in my life. This is anti-music and even white noise is more fun to listen to. The worst part of it is, this guy operates under the false pretense of "spiritual music". Music does not have to be minimalistic or repetitive in any way to be spiritual, as proven by thousands of great gospel groups. This guy is to spiritual is what Pat Robertson is to Christianity.
This is the most boring piece of music I've ever heard, and the guy that performs it, Ludovico Einaudi, should be ashamed of himself to try to sell himself as an artist of "spiritual" music. Even good old Philip Glass, the founder of minimalism in music, would probably find this piece ultimately uninventive and uneventful. Gee, some people really have guts to call themselves musicians.

@sanyahenderson I don't know whether you're a musical composer, although I highly doubt it. Perhaps you do not realise how talented a person has to be to compose music with such passion and depth. Not only does this music make me feel emotion, it also leaves me in awe of how talented a musician Ludovico Einaudi really is. You do not have to enjoy his music, but you don't have any reason to speak of him in such an immature and, to be honest, clearly un-educated manner. He is a musical genius.
@colliesRme FYI I do have a Ph.D. in Musicology & History of Music, I have written a highly acclaimed book of analysis of musical compositions, as well as hundreds of musical articles and reviews of compositions and critics of musical performances, I have a MA degree in Piano performance and I have composed tons of music for theater, film, and live performances. After 30 years of experience as a performer, composer, and a music writer I believe I know a good composition when I hear one.
@sanyahenderson So i went to your website and checked our your resume. You did your bachelors from Macedonia and PhD from Yugoslavia...which in real world means peanuts. And you know this because lets face it, after years of training and a doctorate, why did you need a film scoring Classes at UCLA from 2002-2003. your last work worth any mention was Lookin' For Some Posse and even that was 2005...7 years ago. And also your only book is not even listed by the publisher.
One of the most repetitive pieces of music I have ever heard, and yet it gets the highest praises from everyone and everywhere. Music has really lost it's way..
@BIZEB You incompetent fool, are you totally deaf? its called progression, the song builds up.. its not repetitive at all. This is the kind of music that keeps music alive. You should really wash your ears out and listen to this properly..
@KIN9DUB Pick a moment between 4ish minutes and 7 minutes. It's the same thing, asbolutely unchanged. The progression used is one of the poorest examples I can think of. This is bad, poor music. Get a good, classical music from pretty much any composer of the 17th, 18th century. There are billions of examples of good music with "progression". This one is just plain boring, I'm sorry. You are entitled to enjoy it as much as you want though, I'm just expressing my honest disapointment.
@BIZEB The truth is that his music is not made based on technicalities nor is Einaudi trying to say he is better than any composer of the 17th or 18th century. Einaudi's music is based on what I think music is made for: to inspire you and make you FEEL a certain way. Einaudi's music always possesses me in a way no other music can and pulls emotions out of me. I do understand your opinion though and I am not trying to attack you.
@anacapri14 Well no one needs to compose to try and be better than the other guy. I did not point out that those composers are better and therefore he should compete, unfortunately the further back you go, until the renaissance, the fuller it gets in terms of composition. It's hard to imagine that you cannot think of any other music that inspires you the way that this one does. But if by chance this really gets to you, then there's really nothing I can say.
@anacapri14 This isn't coming from a fan of Slipknot or Lady gaga, by the way, and I really enjoy music that allows you to "elevate your spirit", so to speak. Josquin Desprez is one of my favorite composers, and you can see a lot of good progression there. But again, I'm not comparing any composer directly, nor should anyone be like the other guy. There's a plurality of good composers, each with their own music.

Music for the soul. My poor ear wanted to function so bad just to hear his music. Healers take many form, some use positions and chants, Ludovico uses his music. Thank you. Annie x
