@illmakeupmyownname-gvw refers to to the maximum weight of the truck with a full load-passengers,cargo,etc.i thought the same as you at first because of the plate on the door post in my 58.the 3600 doesnt weigh that much more than a 31 or 32.

wow 3 tons of rolling steel.. How is the mileage at 6,000 lbs. MY '58 weighed in at 3200 pounds from the factory...

Nice truck! Reminds me of my old '77 C10 I had back during my first couple years behind the wheel. It had an I6 250 under the hood.
