Ten years ago...The bank had a sign that would tell you the time & temp, the buffalo roamed in Perry County, Motomart gas was $1.05. 1998 was one of the last of the great years for DuQuoin, IL. They built an overpass, the coal mines shut down, major cut-backs were made, and it all went downhill the next ten years.
