I was in the 3220th Military Police Company, 3rd Infantry Division... we ran 7-8 miles every morning... my brother right now, in the USMC runs about 4 miles every morning for PT... they are tested now on only 1.5 miles? What is this the petty police academy? We got smoked for 3 hours straight... my brother, USMC, in his boot... said the longest he got smoked was about an hour and a half..... oooooooooooooooo real tough... give me a break....

No matter where you served or who you served with, have pride in your Branch. For me it was The USMC. I am proud to say I am a Marine. I had the chance to go to any branch I wanted. As my father was in the military and his father before him, I asked him which branch was the toughest. He even tried to change my mind for months. This doesnt make other branches weak, but there has to be a tougher big brother in every family. That brother is a Marine, Semper Fi, thank all you guys who served.
This is what young men need. They need a little discipline, respect, and integrity instilled in them by the finest instructors in the world. I wouldn't trade my time in boot camp in 1988 for anything. I praise the drill sergeants of D787th MP battalion Fort McClellan Alabama for teaching me an invaluable lesson of pride in country and discipline. I never knew what total muscle failure was until I joined the Army.

My son is graduating from Ft. Benning in Nov. I tried to get him to go to MCRD and for years he was all marines. But as he reached his 18th BD he decided on the ARMY. They offered more in regards to officer training and helicopter training. When i look at the utube videos of Ft. benning and compare it to marine corp videos, The marines look clean and mean. Very straight and obidient. My father was in the corp in WW2. 3rd marine division. He saw the flag raising on surabachi.

@Eddyisrich403 I was in the 3220th Military Police Company, 3rd Infantry Division... we ran 7-8 miles every morning... my brother right now, in the USMC runs about 4 miles every morning for PT... they are tested now on only 1.5 miles? What is this the petty police academy? Look up the Army Rangers... they are the toughest baddest infantrymen in the entire Department of Defense... even marines attend that school to further their marine careers... it is the most famous infantry school in the entire world...

SSgt Wagner pulled his sword out and when he did, the blade came off and swirled through the air like an instrument of death near Sgt. Fitzpatrick's head. Sgt. Fitzpatrick turned and looked back at us and at the Senior with this wide eyed look, that we all started to laugh. Even the Senior, an individual who never in 3 months time acted as if he could do so, laughed.

No matter where you served or who you served with, have pride in your Branch. For me it was The USMC. I am proud to say I am a Marine. I had the chance to go to any branch I wanted. As my father was in the military and his father before him, I asked him which branch was the toughest. He even tried to change my mind for months. This doesnt make other branches weak, but there has to be a tougher big brother in every family. That brother is a Marine, Semper Fi, thank all you guys who served.

I wouldn't trade my time in boot camp in 1988 for anything. I praise the drill sergeants of D787th MP battalion Fort McClellan Alabama for teaching me an invaluable lesson of pride in country and discipline. I never knew what total muscle failure was until I joined the Army.

It is a fact that there is a Marine detatchment at most MOS schools on US Army installations. I was not mentioning Infantry schools but if you want to nit-pick, Recon Marines go through Airborne and Ranger school at Ft. Benning also. BTW, I may have been a pog (public affairs OFFICER) but show some respect, class, and know what you are talking about.

The Navy SEALs are also not infantry although they've received infantry training... do you know the failure rate of SEALs attending Ranger school just to better themselves? It''s pretty high dude. My son is graduating from Ft. Benning in Nov. I tried to get him to go to MCRD and for years he was all marines. But as he reached his 18th BD he decided on the ARMY. They offered more in regards to officer training and helicopter training. When i look at the utube videos of Ft. benning and compare it to marine corp videos, The marines look clean and mean. Very straight and obidient. My father was in the corp in WW2. 3rd marine division. He saw the flag raising on surabachi.
