  • je ne connaissais pas ... très intéressant !!!

  • Some of this stuff seems a little on the verge of music and just random sound. Isn't good music more about rhythm and melodies?

  • blue eyed soul.

  • I'd love to marry someone like James Blake.

  • Just got this album!

    So happy with it

  • the track at the start sounds like autotune, but the track somewhere in the middle is a vocoder for sure. good album, nice beats.

  • whats with the auto fucking tune? I hope the album is not actually like that

  • @theinck This is called autotuning for the right reasons... because we all agree he doesn't auto tune to sound better. He just likes the vibe it gives.

  • @theinck It's not autotune, he's using a vocoder.

  • Does anyone know where can i download measurements for free?

  • @jamesdowling torrent, or mp3boo dot com

  • Where do i find measurements ??

  • This is music? Good god :O

  • @JamieCunningham Compared to your gay music? Fuck yes

  • @milkbringsballs Wow, I'm being insulted. Surprise surprise.

  • @JamieCunningham You asked for it.

  • @milkbringsballs No actually, no I didn't.

  • @JamieCunningham Yes, you did ask for it actually. If you don't like this music, you could of expressed your dislike of it in a constructive and well-thought out comment, then maybe your opinion would be respected. But if you're just going to be a prick, well you are asking for it.

  • @JamieCunningham plus yeah I personally think you have really terrible music on your channel.

  • @CharlieGiaretta At no point did I ask for it. The comments are on this video for feedback. I gave it. If you want to bring my music into it, go to my videos or channel and comment there. Don't fill this video with unrelated abuse.

  • I am in love with his voice, I want to marry him but we wouldn't have to do anything. He would just sing to me and i would cry.

  • It took me months just to figure out what this album is all about. Now I'm hooked. @_@

  • Who needs Jessie J's album, when you can get his?

  • Didn't like it at first, but man did it grow on me. Top music.

  • He was awesome at the North Sea Jazz yesterday!

  • UNLUCK !

  • great album regardless of what anyone says I feel connected to his music, a real connection, spiritual and deep unlike 99% of current music

  • He is in Australia this month on a tour!

This guys music takes you on a journey!!! AMAZING!!!

  • @scottsergeant1 Who said it makes a difference?

  • @scottsergeant1 How can i be wrong when i haven't said anything to the contrary of that? where did i say you can't be a critically acclaimed artist without it? nowhere. All i said was that unlike most, James Blake did study music.

  • @SharpWalkers its not what you know its how you use it

  • @gloriousfungai Still completely irrelevant to what i said.

  • @scottsergeant1 A lot.

  • Everything is this album and nothing hurts.

  • james blake will be playing at my funural

  • absolute genius. nuff said.

  • I need this album.

  • OMG! Why hasn't anyone uploaded "Measurements"? Thats beautiful! Its like modern vocal jazz.

  • @WillWriteYourSongs- was just thinking the same thing. Prob my fav song on the album.

  • I love "I never learnt to share" the most

  • I Mind is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

  • @Ashleykickass Agree 100%

  • Love this!!! "I mind" is my favorite.

Can't WAIT till he's in Australia!!!

  • I didn't really enjoy Measurements at first, but now I do enjoy the harmony. I showed it to another family member, and they said that it has the same rhythm as a hymn. Makes a lot of sense.

  • haha "you're probably into some weak ass prawns GTFO"

  • this is love.

  • Great Album, Greetings from Morocco !

  • @medzianimusic

    greetings from Miami!

  • Great Ablum, Greetings from Morocco !

  • OMG I NEVER realized 'Limit To Your Love' was his!

    How stupid x)

  • @LaWigProductions

Actually that's not his song, "Limit to your love" was written by canadian song writer Feist and is in the album "The reminder" I believe from 2007.

  • @MrBeautymyths No I saw it later, but I meant that I knew this version, and never realized it was him singing (:

  • Check out the album sampler of Dotan's debutalbum! It releases on the 20th of may. Search for 'Dotan Dream Parade Album Sampler' and the click on the 1st video :). I allready LOVE IT!

  • oooh my goodness Limit to your love makes me go crazeee...

  • I love this album. Challenging but comforting. More please.

  • this is a bit flying lotus-ish. but its still cool.

  • @IAmASharpedo Implying that being a bit Flying Lotus-ish isn't cool.

  • @platinumdynamite my bad then. i must have chose the wrong words. i am a huge fan of both james blake and flying lotus. besides not EVERY song on this record sound like flying lotus. limit to your love has quite a completely original flavor to me. bottomline i am not intending to say this this album sucks.

  • @IAmASharpedo And there's something wrong with being bit Flying lotus-ish? >:(

  • @mike12jrw1111113 no not at all. you probably misinterpreted my statement. when i hear something flying lotus-ish i say its cool. thus, james blake is awesome.

  • Number 10 is amazing...

  • this is the most played album on my ipod and i have only had it for a month

  • neat.

  • great album to take the bus too, just watch the world go by

  • @AndrewNeiles Just bought the album in Leeds on monday, listened to whole album four times on the two train journeys home. Incredible how it chills you out and inspires you at the same time. Very rare I can listen to an album back to back like that but it just fits together so well :)

  • @AndrewNeiles Oh man. You don't know how many times I've done that.

  • At least this guy studied music, unlike 19/20 other popular 'artists' these days.

  • Falling is the ony good song this kid has lol but its fckn awesome

  • @StelloLIVE That's not even a song title...

  • @SharpWalkers shut up jack ass

  • @preston9019 I bow before your wisdom in speech and discussion! now fuck off and don't comment on my posts if you don't have anything relevant to say. Moron.

  • @SharpWalkers Fine i will, your comment was a generalization all too often posted for petty thumb ups these days. you can go to any video and say blah blah blah...unlike other "artist" and get every one to circlejerk around you. besides you do not have to have any formal musical training to be successful or talented.

  • @preston9019 It wasn't a generalization, that would be if i said all pop singers are dumb. i didn't. I just stated something that i learned of him. I never asked for thumbs up when i posted it NINE MONTHS ago. If you hadn't replied to me i wouldn't even have known i was a top comment.

No you don't need musical training to be talented but you obviously also don't need talent to be succesful. And that's the problem these days.

  • measurements <3

  • i guess that we're in the "musical era" where people believe that everything has been done.. this is the only way i can justify this album... to me , it reeks of a fad that is dying to die, face down in its glittery and pseudo melancholic puke... highly pretentious trendy garbage for a lost generation. .. yeah fuck you too.

  • @CancerianChris take a chill pill brah!!

  • @nilbog44 don't worry, i got it out of my system.

  • Not bad, not my taste exactly, but definitely not fucking bad at all for a guy who calls himself dubstep. This is like, music..... weird.

  • My fave of all is number 5 love it.i wud just buy that one its got an amazin beat to it:)

  • this album is on loop every single day on my ipod. i can't get enough of it

  • @sarahhigginss ikr. Amazing.

  • this album is bigg... best thing for britain in ages

  • i like to think of this as auto-tune done right!

  • I think there is a way to consider a type of music bad. Music that isn't original or progressive at all. Music that sounds like everything else. I love music that is fresh and original. Music is about expressing yourself, but it's also about bringing something new to the table. No one likes hearing the same song over just by another artist. This album was incredible. Pretty melodies, interesting glitchy sounds, colorful and dark at the same time. I'm addicted to it. 'I Mind' is incredible!

  • you guys need to get more planet mu down ya. i dont know if this guy is pop or not, but looks like the mainstream heads are confused. WARP yourself with some Ninja tunes you alpha pups.

  • i hate when people call this "atmospheric dubstep". cant someone do something original without being placed in a freaking genre.

  • I both hate it and love it......confused....

  • @WithMusicInMind Im confused too cause that doesnt make any sense

  • here and there he reminds me of d'angelo....

  • Does anyone have any extra tickets for the Williamsburg Music Hall show in Brooklyn, NY on March 14th? If so, please comment back. I want to buy two and it's sold out!

  • I think the reason people get so emotional over music is it's something that you want to share with many others, and have others enjoy. When you put on music, you're immediately exposing it to everyone present. So when someone puts it down, it's a real downer. If someone doesn't like the same food as you, all the have to do is not eat it.

  • @imthebaby468 I would agree, music is such a passionate, personal thing to the majority of people. But on the internet music is like the enjoyment of food, in that it is usual listened to by oneself, therefore if you dont like something you can move onto something else. It absurd to get angry because someone doesn't like James Blake as it is to get angry if someone does like James Blake. It is just so dull listening to music and then seeing people argue over it on youtube

  • @imthebaby468 NO!! THIS IS JAMES FUCKING BLAKE

  • Can anyone else hear a teeny tiny snippet of 'A Case Of You' at 08:39 ? Sounds like '...you darl...'

  • HELL YEA THIS MUSIC IS WHERE ITS AT I JAM TO THIS IN MY CAR AND AT THE CLUB ALL NIGHT. WHAT A STRAIGHT UP BALLER. AMAZING !!!!

  • Measurements

  • another nina simone?

  • AMAZING

  • Pre-ordered it on Amazon but it says its getting released on March 22, and on all the JB videos it says it is 'out now'???? what the hay???

  • one of the best personal vox I've listened. Cheers from canary islands! : )

  • This is beautiful but requires toke.

  • what a wonderful album.

  • WILHELM SCREAM. SNM.

  • Hated him a bit cause of his too popular cover of Feist, but have to be honest, this is almost a god who sounds like Bon Iver now and then

  • @MrNilssonn so you hated limit to your love because it was too popular? oh dear

  • @drunkenpossum1

It's not that long-time Blake fans didn't like Limit To Your Love because it was too popular. We didn't like it because it was too popuLIST.

  • Personalnie uwazam, iz kazda dekada miala swoj niepowtazalny klimat. Tak (jak ja to jeszcze pamietam) bylo w latach 80' 90' 00'' oraz z osobistych relacji ,,fanow,, z lat 50' 60' 70'. Dekada 10' bez watpienia nalezy do JAMESA !!!! Mozemy mowic o blogoslawiestwie jakie nas spotkalo z poczatkiem tego roku sluchajac TEGO ARCYDZIELA!!! James! Best regards, You Are The Best !!!!

  • Most tracks are amazing but I'm not sure about the Lindisfarne 1 & 2 tracks.

  • wow this is what you faggots are raving over?

  • @deengew

AWW MATE. FAGGETY FAG FAG. Is that really why you came to this video?

  • @deengew just seen what stuff you go on and what you write, you my friend...are the fag.

  • @ScrottIshEre

you mad, and that statement makes no fucking sense.

  • @deengew i viewed the comments you write on videos, satanism and scat porn is it ? you FUCKING FREAK GTFO YOUTUBE YOU CORN MUNCHING SPACE DOCKER.

  • @ScrottIshEre

Clearly there is a language barrier here.

  • @deengew clearly your a troll.

  • @ScrottIshEre

    *you're

  • @deengew sorry, thought this was the internet not a grammar school.

  • @ScrottIshEre

    cool excuse bro

  • to buy the album or not to buy?

  • @alexglover1988 to buy! I can't stop listening it

  • I really want to like him...I Just don't 'get' his music D:

  • to care (like you) is wicked, my 801s were shaking the house like the 7.1 earthquake we had here in Christchurch 4th september last year. Heavy Bass rules!

  • The last track really reminds me of Bon Iver. Stunning :)

  • pretty fucking good, but i'd love to hear just the instrumentals to loads of these, especially i never learnt to share

  • pretty good, but i'd love to see hear the instrumentals to a lot of these, especially i never learnt to share

  • its ok to like or dislike this album, it is all about opinions and tastes, some people like salmon, not for me though, but when my friends eat it they dont start going "oh my god how can you not like salmon this shit is the bomb, your taste buds are pointless- as is your existence, you're probably into some weak ass sea food like prawns GTFO". everyone chill, if you like the album enjoy it, if you dont go and enjoy the wealth of other amazing music out there

  • @swilsh55 lol i really like this reaction!!

  • @swilsh55 you make me happy

  • @swilsh55 hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha prawn munching cunt. lmfao

  • @swilsh55 but there IS a difference between listeners who actually do something for music for example listening over and over to a song with dedication till they finally ´get it´ and the mainstream bull shit... taste is personal but there are develloped and undevelloped kinds of taste, you can´t denie that by saying ´everyone is different´.

  • @abevink92 I disagree, Louis Armstrong said there are only two types of music, good and bad. but what 'good' music is, is completely subjective, and arguing with people who have different tastes is both ridiculous and pointless. People sometimes seem to be on a crusade to tell people off for enjoying different types of genres and artists, or not enjoying (for example) James Blake, I just find that aspect of music culture rather unproductive and tiresome.

  • @swilsh55 well that may be. but on a related note if you enjoy the musical strains of james blunt then you are most likely a colossal faggot who was conceived in an arsehole.

  • @swilsh55 prawns are amazing, im offended

  • @swilsh55 best statement ever on youtube

  • @swilsh55 amazing comment haha

  • james blake is james (dean) and (william) blake.

  • Comment removed

  • Well Done James, very good.

  • Not my type of shit but this guy has got some serious balls to try something new.

  • @still2weirdfoU thank you mate for accepting it instead of hating on him like the others.

  • Who ever says he sounds like Imogen heap is bad at hearing. You know who he sounds like he sounds like James Blake he is his own artist just listen and stop making comparisons.

  • Amazing

  • Is this guy for real?? Sounds like his soundtrack is a playback of tickertape and backwards lesotho music.

  • Reminds me of Jamie Liddel's work with Super_Collider.

  • yes, limit to your love is fab...but be mindful,

it is a Fiest ..cover..which may be why the flavor is a lil diff..

  • some great tracks on this album but some weird stuff also.

  • you guys seriously like this? O_o

  • @chaosinorderrr Rubbish isn't is? Arty people desperatly wanna be uniqe so they turn to something really different and force themselves to like it. I actually enjoy James Blakes style and he has a few good songs but some of it is just to messy for me to really get into... And the worst part is (mainly stupid people and trolls) saying that "you don't get it" if you don't like it. Fuck that. Matter of opinion. This music is OK, it's different. But believe me, i produce music. It's mainly effects.

  • @jwktje i completely agree with you here. i'm not one of those casual mainstream loving music listener... i actually seek out good music. but i just can't get into james' stuff.

  • @jwktje It's messy? What is messy in music? Maybe it's messiness was intended. Maybe in this one instance, you really are the person that doesn't get it. That'd be really ironic. It's not "arty people" that want to turn to something different, it's anyone with decent taste in music. It's exciting when you hear something out of the ordinary. In any medium, the artist that's doing something different is the one people are most interested in. No one want to hear the same old sounds over and over.

  • @jwktje Just to clarify, the reason I say you actually might not get it, is because yo consider this too "messy". So that means he needs to be following a certain outline that other artists follow. Doing what's commonly considered correct or else he's doing something wrong. Well maybe he's making a new outline. Only way to bring music forward is to break out of the mold. Once again, maybe, JUST MAYBE, you are the person that doesn't get it. But then again maybe not.

  • @chaosinorderrr You have a simple music mind so we dont expect you to like this. This is the best album ive heard in a while, and yes we seriously like this.

  • @check2773 i asked if YOU like it. lol you sound like an elitist asshole with that "we don't expect you to like this" statement. please gtfo!

  • @check2773 Says the A7X and Shinedown fan. Bahahaha!

  • Cant wait to phuking buy this!

  • would be cool if he released unluck on mp3

  • sorry its quite clearly called unluck :O Its lovely

  • Whats the first tune called? :)

  • its on the video. its called unluck

  • Got his album in just today :D:D

I downloaded it illegal a couple of weeks ago already, but decided (since it was like the best music I've ever heard) to support James Blake and buy his album.

  • @t4twister1 that's the way I work aswell:)

  • Three of these songs sound like they came right off of CMYK. We all already know that Welhelm Scream and Limit To Your Love are amazing, but I have to say that Measurements sounds awesome, too

  • the first album i will definetly purchas instead of download

  • so much jazz and soul for an electronic musician. that's why i love James Blake, he brings the best of two almost separate worlds into single masterpieces. the last track my end up being my favorite, it sounds so spiritual, its amazing.

  • @TheDoctor212 might*

  • James Blake is sounding to me the masculine version of Imogen Heap

  • @desideriortela i hear it too but hes waaaaaaay better then imogen heap. but i dont like imogen heap. but i loooove james blake
