I got Rickroll'd in QFG II vga! On the last day, I slept in my room until nightfall to hear the poet Omar. I went out, sat down, and immediately the rickroll music started, along a guy in glasses dancing next to the katta with the flute. Then a message appeared:
I think the Quest for Glory series is one of the only fantasy RPG series to really get Beastmen/Anthropomorphs right on all counts. Differing culture from humans, a distinct style of speech, attractive and not overly whimsical features and appearances. I swear I love the Katta, I just wish there were Wolves and Foxes...
Well... there is the jackalmen. (And in III there seems to be a more peaceful jackalman (I assume that's what he is) that sells meat (He's pretty silly and talks much like a domestic dog might if they could talk.) There's also another dog-like character in QFG V, Wolfie. (Who seems to be about normally intelligent.) And who hails from an india like land apperently. (Though you don't learn to much about it.)
Highly recommend this to anyone coming across this by happenstance. The combat system is amazing and gives you a very good challenge. When I fought the last boss as a fighter, I felt like it was a fight out of the illiad between two great heroes. Fantastic job.
I've played this, and I have to say it's an amazing piece of work. It really took me back to my childhood, although I have to say the 4th in the series is my absolute favorite. Kudos to the people who took the time to make this.
Its too bad that you can only get the dos versions of the games to work with the wii using the wiibrew version of dosbox and not quest for glory 2 because it isn't dos based.
@Sipie007 it took them like 5 years to do QG2 remake, so i'm guessing another game would take a very very long time. Props to the guys for pulling through with it. The entire project happened in their spare time and despite numerous setbacks and running jokes about the game being vaporware, they finished it in the end and showed off a brilliant game.
@not4resale wow didnt know it took them 5 years but then suppose if its project your doing in your spare time it would take a long time. There is other people though doing remakes like the KQ3 remake by infamous-adventures and I believe a SQ2 remake is in the works at the mo. So maybe one day we will see most if not all the old Sierra games remade.
@Sipie007 yeh I think most games wouldn't take that long but QG2 is a complex game to code. The team have other VGA remakes and a commercial game so they have been a busy bunch. I actually remember when IA was starting out, I approached him about helping out but when I found out just how much time I would need to dedicate I didn't go through with it. Tons of props to anyone that does this sort of thing. Its a lot of work for not much reward, and still many people who play will probably whinge.
@not4resale yep I think they have done really well and its great how they have done these remakes. Well im just greatful to still be able to play these games and in a way even though I appreciate these remakes I still like to play the originals for nostelgic value if for nothing else. But yep you will always get people who whinge but think for the most part the fans of these games are greatful for what they do.
The 1st Quest for Glory (formally known as Heros Quest) was my favourite. Did like this one. Wasnt struck on the third one and the Fouth was was good but just abit too dark. Never played the fifth one though. Can you download the fifth one for free anywhere?
This QFG game had the best combat system of them all. Also, the music is amazing. These two things make the game worth a download especially if you are a fan.
I am trying desperately to find a way to make it work on my macbook... if anybody has any ideas, PM me.
the part where the heroes standing on top of the bodies after the massive fight during intermission is probably my favorite moment in video game history.
By the way, thanks for making this, whoever posted the video. I played it and loved what you did. I hear your group is from the original Hero6 team. Do you know Moinkers or Elsa? Everyone knew Spliff, but all that was a long time ago. Anyway, thanks for making it, you made it possible for me to play QFG2 again, because I lost the QFG Anthology disk years and years ago. And it hasn't worked in Windows for that long, anyway.
Well... 8 years is reasonable considering the development team is significantly smaller than that of Sierra's. Dispite that, they've done an absolutely fantastic job on the remake and I appreciate it.
oh please lord, if you truly exist, let them make another quest for glory. Let it be a 2 dimensional game with the classic quest for glory humour and captivating storyling, and incredible fantasy scenery. Let it be popular to the point of bring such games back into demand again and I will forever be your slave. Amen!
There were some fans of the game making a new QFG. Called Hero 6: Rite of passage. But the last update on the forums is from february this year. So it's going reeeeeeeealy slow.
Years and years ago, I was actually part of the development team on that project (I was a writer). That was nearly a decade ago now, though. There were some disputes about the coding and we only ever completed a couple of demos. Story was done, but I haven't poked my head in around there in a long, long time. I'm assuming the game is sadly probably never coming out.
ahh...crappy computer...this wonderful remake runs so slow sometimes on my computer and I blame my computer more than the game 'cause it's got a lot of problems right now even though it's still running really well for most/some and other things...I can't wait to have a new computer...I really need one...maybe then things won't be so screwy...still though...omg remake...yay! hahaha
Uh, well, the final part of the game plays out differently depending on your class, but the actual ending sequence is the same regardless of class, unless you... qualify. >_>
as cool as it is, it seems like too slight of an improvement to spend so much time on; they've been working on it for a while. QFG2 had some great animation, and although the colors are better here, a lot of the new animation just seems borrowed from 3 and 4. A 3D remake would be a lot more interesting.
I agree with almost everything that you said except for the 3D remake. That kind of game is better in 2D I think. It would destroy the mysterious feel of the game. But it's true that a lot of stuff seems to have been borrowed from the other games and I don't understand either why it took so long. They redid some other games a lot quicker. 8 years for this is crazy... but I appreciated it anyways.
From the AGDI forums, it sounds like they're almost done with Beta testing, and Vivendi (the QfG Copyright Holder) has finished going through the Beta and is deciding on legal things that I don't know anything about, but it's looking hopeful!
What makes this game great, to me, is that the land is small but intimate. They created a city with mystique and interesting characters with amusing dialogue, and something new was happening every day.
This differs from the recent trend of RPG games that spread themselves too thin with a giant map, and wind up feeling like a lot of empty space rather than an interesting little city.
Damn rights, The advertiseing was true, Every Quest For Glory was Three games in one. Even more with the paladin option. Heres hopeing that Hero 6 becomes popular enough for reknewed interest in Adventure Games!
One of my all-time favourite games, it may even surpass Monkey Island in my books. QFG 2 was the first one of the series I played through and it was an experience I'll always remember. Once this comes out, I'm gonna play through all 5 again. :P
Sierra generally only remade the first of each series, before discovering that it cost them more than they were getting back, and scrapped the project. eg. Space Quest two only exists in the AGI engine whereas all the others are SCI*. I think I read this in an Interview with Lori Ann Cole.
honestly i dont think the kings quest remakes were that great... mainly because those kings quest games sucked in the first place. lame, predictable fairy tales for 5 year olds.
however.... qfg2 was my favorite from that series, because it had such a kickass story.
Yeah, I wasn't so crazy about the first few king's quest games. But the fifth and sixth ones were pretty awesome. Or perhaps that's the nostalgia talking, I haven't played either of them in a long time...
You're right for the most part but these folks didn't make the QfG1 remake, that was an official remake. This is a fan made remake that has taken them 2 years longer (so far) than they originally intended. They did manage to release their own game during that span of time but as long as this (free) remake comes out eventually you won't catch me complaining.
Personally, there is a nostalgic bit to playing the game in "type what you do" mode, so I probably won't download this. Beside, look at the wizards test part in this video, it doesnt look much better then the original anyway. FAIL.
pesky there's an option to type some stuff in the game and I disagree it doesn't look better than the original....although I love the original I and so many others have been waiting years for an updated/VGA version of this game and then when all that crap went down with sierra our hopes were dashed for a while...but this remake project got us hopeful and happy again and I think the wait was worth it
Well, once this is released you can finally appreciate it's majesty, wither you can type now or not. Incidentally, I bet trying to play this a 5 yrs gave a noticeable boost to typing/spelling (maybe not grammar though (sit chair, talk man)), at least it did for me.
And they say they have totally redesigned the alleyway system, so we probably won't get lost again.
Hehe, one of the very few things I hated about the game was the maze. The system just seems updated in graphics...I still had a heck of a time trying to get from point a (gate area) to point b (moneychanger) and back again. Finally made it with my fighter but my thief and mage are still kinda lost, hahaha.
Personally I liked how the original city was made but it was difficult to navigate into with the keyboard and even more with a mouse. The new maze is better in many ways. The character stops everytime there is a passageway on the left or right and the streets have names. I like that.
I was very very happy to see QFG5 finally released, but I'll agree that it wasn't at all ready for release. This is what happens when big companies demand a release before Christmas time. It's how Lucasarts destroyed the KoTOR series. "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever."
Not that I think QFG5 was bad, but had the suits allowed it to be developed longer, it would have been very well received.
looks beautiful and faithful to original game (even the pile scene!). can't wait for this. thank you to the wonderful people working on this. keep up the great work!
This is awesome, the second QFG game is the only one I haven't beaten because of the graphics and the textual gameplay.. I wish they did finish this ...
Brings a tear to my eye. The old Sierra games were some of the best games ever made. I've must of played throw QFG 1-4 20 times. Still havent played through 5 though. Although I should.
Well the thing is they should of had a more visual ending...i mean all the other quest for glory game's ending had something visual about it such as having the town gather around the hero in the end of the game. It wasn't there in the fifth, although to be fair Sierra at the time was kind of rushing the coles to get the game through so that probably played a big part in the ending being the way it was
it was just a credit roll after the dragon boss wasn't it? I haven't played in years, I don't remember it being spectacular though. The others were always fulfilling though.
Depending on the popularity of this upcoming game, I would want to see QFG5 redone with this kinda graffix and more content and less bugs. Because, let's face it, 5 was a shitty ending to an awesome series, and it looks like AGDI is doing a wonderful job with this game.
Some things would be hard to tackle, like the overworld map in QFG5 but it'd be really cool to see. I really loved QFG5, but I agree, it wasn't as polished as it should've been. It was a satisfying ending to the series, but more could've been done.
The overworld wouldn't be SO difficult. Remember Tarna...that worked pretty well. As I remember correctly, they were implemented in a similar fashion, it was just that Silmeria was loads bigger.
I liked the glitch where you could marry all the women, if you wanted to be a lecherous bastard, haha.
BUT I didn't like having to choose between Katrina and Erana...that sucked.
This game is going to be the best. Need I say that AGD1 is extremely beautiful and very sexy. She is one of the hottest game designers out there. Guess it doesn't hurt that she is my girl. :)
This was one of my favourite games as a kid. I played through heaps of times, with every class. I enjoyed other games of the same genre, Sierra ones in particular. But there is something quite special about this one, I believe.
Have you downloaded KQ1+2 (VGA versions) from their Website already? If you have, what's your opinion about it?...I am thinking on downloading them, but I am not sure yet. Thanks. :)
I haven't actually. Going by looks and what I've heard, they are EXCELLENT games. I believe they were even featured in Game Informer. I'm going to buy the King's Quest collection sometime in the near future and will DEFINITELY download the VGA versions when I do. Either way, I highly recommend you download them.
It looks fantastic. I can't wait until it is finally released. Getting QFG2 to run on my computer is a pain in the butt and this looks great. This is the best of the series if you ask me.
wtf..? this is a new game..? looks like a windows 95 game... seriously if this is all new it should be way better graphics. i was expecting something way better for a remake. ne way ill probably play it.. i downloaded the old version (DOS) just the other day.. been playing it for a bit. kinda boring tho, cos its soo old..
...You ignorant, silly little bafoon. They were trying to keep it similar to the other games, and inbetween the graphics of the QFG1 VGA remake and the 1992 QFG3. thats right, 1992... OLD.... Get it ?
This appears to be a fan-made remake, trying to update QFG2 in the same way that Sierra themselves updated QFG1 in 1992. According to the site of the people doing this, they've done the same successfully for King's Quest 1 and 2, so I guess it's pretty likely that we will be able to replay this game in vivid, life-like VGA graphics pretty soon.
You ever played The Journeyman Project? I loved those games, too. A fan team is making a remake using the Source engine from Half-Life, but they ran into troubles with Valve on doing that. Let's hope that this team goes smooth.:)
Oh hey, what about the music being re-done in orchestra? I wanna hear that. I love the MIDI music and a full orchestra would be even better. I think QFG4 had the best music.
#2 was probably my favorite QFG game. I remember opening the box and seeing NINE 3.5" disks in there. But that's what made these games so great. The people making comments about "I don't have the attention span" are probably those people who like to just move & shoot around a game screen then brag that they shot the most things and "beat the game" That wasn't the point of adventures... it was actually to see how LONG it took you to finish it and to see if you really did explore EVERYTHING!
Fuck this comment feature. I've tried to post two lines of text about 50 times and it keeps saying it needs to be under 500 characters. Damn you tube.
Of course they have replay value. There are usually different endings depending on your actions and different solutions to puzzles and additional areas depending on your character type. QFG2 has always been my favorite. Granted, I own the old documentation so the alleys are cake. Im looking forward to the remake.
I never did beat this game... I got stuck at the very last scene because I didn't pick up something and it was too late to go back and get it - that and I'd saved over the savepoint that could get me there... Fun game, but ended up being really frustrating. I prefer QFG1, but good to see a remake of 2 in the works.
Running around the goddamn labyrinth city in the second one was not for me. Of course, since Sierra is beyond defunct like all PC Adventure game companies when they got eaten up by moronic businessmen, I doubt this is even a legitimate remake. If it was, I'd only play it if the first one was available, and it didn't feel like it'd take my whole life to complete it.
Did the Quest for Glory series even have any replay value? From what I remember, they were extraordinarily time-consuming, which is alright for some, but I just feel like I'd never be able to get into this game with its overwhelming overload of overdone environment detail immersion. I had fun with these games when I was younger, but I only had the attention span or time to fool around in the first one and the third one, I don't think I ever beat them.
ive beat them all, and played every game like 50 times each , i replayed and replayed because i was like trying to brake a record :P my record was to finish all in one week, i was the master, lol
I can't seem to force myself enjoy this free game. I'm not used to it's slow paced gameplay. :( I just don't get it, what do others find this game so remarkable? I think that Skyrim game spoiled that classic gaming side of me. 0_o

Just two cents from a jaded gamer.

runescape has got to be the worst mmo ever created
quest for glory is one of the best rpg games series of ALL time
there is no way to compare the two without putting runescape to absolute shame
cloudwind1 3 years ago 4
Deffinetly.
Cheers mate.
Shikamaru1212 3 years ago
Yep, I wish current games would learn from these types. 2D Well-done stylized graphics are better than 3D anyday. They just have a certain charm.
freesoap 3 years ago 2
yes..but the thing i liked most about it was its amusing dialog..theres lots of replay value as well
cloudwind1 3 years ago
Damn rights, The advertiseing was true, Every Quest For Glory was Three games in one. Even more with the paladin option. Heres hopeing that Hero 6 becomes popular enough for reknewed interest in Adventure Games!

This remake looks amazing....I can't wait!!!
SaikyoMog 3 years ago 2
One of my all-time favourite games, it may even surpass Monkey Island in my books. QFG 2 was the first one of the series I played through and it was an experience I'll always remember. Once this comes out, I'm gonna play through all 5 again. :P
Kaiem 3 years ago 3
I love qfg2. Great to see a VGA remake of it. I wonder why sierra never did it like qfg1. Perhaps it wasn't as popular?
phlegmuffin 3 years ago
Sierra generally only remade the first of each series, before discovering that it cost them more than they were getting back, and scrapped the project. eg. Space Quest two only exists in the AGI engine whereas all the others are SCI*. I think I read this in an Interview with Lori Ann Cole.

All the quest for glory were great.
The one with the dead and the vampire, great.
The one in Greece.
The on in the middle east.
The one from eastern europe with baba yaga...
The one in Africa great.
They would have needed one in Australia, or south america or Asia.
Caramonn 3 years ago
Sure, my favorite is QG4, but damn...I would LOVE to see a QG2 remake just like the first one. Heroes unite!
MetalOnAPlane 3 years ago
honestly i dont think the kings quest remakes were that great... mainly because those kings quest games sucked in the first place. lame, predictable fairy tales for 5 year olds.
however.... qfg2 was my favorite from that series, because it had such a kickass story.
i am very very impressed with this trailer.
supershaft7777 3 years ago
Yeah, I wasn't so crazy about the first few king's quest games. But the fifth and sixth ones were pretty awesome. Or perhaps that's the nostalgia talking, I haven't played either of them in a long time...
phlegmuffin 3 years ago
Great game. Cannot wait until it is out. :)

"Coming soon"
How Funny
I was waiting for it 5 years ago
They did King's Quest 1 and 2 + QFG1 in half the time they're taking just for this one.
BrainiacN5 4 years ago 2
You're right for the most part but these folks didn't make the QfG1 remake, that was an official remake. This is a fan made remake that has taken them 2 years longer (so far) than they originally intended. They did manage to release their own game during that span of time but as long as this (free) remake comes out eventually you won't catch me complaining.

Maybe, but by the time they finish the game, it may not even be compatible with Windows Vista lol

I think that reviving this old game is a good thing.. they revived the first one.. why leave the second to wallow in Dos limited colours..

Hang on a sec. Those of us who could put up with the graphics have completed this game. so is this remake just exactly the same but in colour?
mARK5000100 4 years ago
Well, its worth it if it revives the joy that is this series.
WhiteMageMentality 4 years ago 2
Personally, there is a nostalgic bit to playing the game in "type what you do" mode, so I probably won't download this. Beside, look at the wizards test part in this video, it doesnt look much better then the original anyway. FAIL.
PeskySaurus2 4 years ago
pesky there's an option to type some stuff in the game and I disagree it doesn't look better than the original....although I love the original I and so many others have been waiting years for an updated/VGA version of this game and then when all that crap went down with sierra our hopes were dashed for a while...but this remake project got us hopeful and happy again and I think the wait was worth it
k24601 3 years ago
Damn i hate this part in the qfg series if u didnt have a map u get lost in the gay maze
n i played it when i was 5yrs old so i didnt no how to type so i couldnt beat some parts :(
budlite603 4 years ago
Well, once this is released you can finally appreciate it's majesty, wither you can type now or not. Incidentally, I bet trying to play this a 5 yrs gave a noticeable boost to typing/spelling (maybe not grammar though (sit chair, talk man)), at least it did for me.
And they say they have totally redesigned the alleyway system, so we probably won't get lost again.
LordeSloth 4 years ago 2
Hehe, one of the very few things I hated about the game was the maze. The system just seems updated in graphics...I still had a heck of a time trying to get from point a (gate area) to point b (moneychanger) and back again. Finally made it with my fighter but my thief and mage are still kinda lost, hahaha.
k24601 3 years ago
Personally I liked how the original city was made but it was difficult to navigate into with the keyboard and even more with a mouse. The new maze is better in many ways. The character stops everytime there is a passageway on the left or right and the streets have names. I like that.
BrainiacN5 3 years ago
I think that by this summer the game would probably be finally out. Perhaps July or August. At any rate, we're all waiting patiently and quietly. :)

I was very very happy to see QFG5 finally released, but I'll agree that it wasn't at all ready for release. This is what happens when big companies demand a release before Christmas time. It's how Lucasarts destroyed the KoTOR series. "A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever."
Not that I think QFG5 was bad, but had the suits allowed it to be developed longer, it would have been very well received.
dervish108 4 years ago
looks beautiful and faithful to original game (even the pile scene!). can't wait for this. thank you to the wonderful people working on this. keep up the great work!
Iostars 4 years ago
This is awesome, the second QFG game is the only one I haven't beaten because of the graphics and the textual gameplay.. I wish they did finish this ...
crunkcheetah 4 years ago
So what's the status? I haven't seen an update on this remake in a year, and I've been looking forward to it!
discolando 4 years ago
Brings a tear to my eye. The old Sierra games were some of the best games ever made. I've must of played throw QFG 1-4 20 times. Still havent played through 5 though. Although I should.
fathead8489 4 years ago 3
The ending of this trailer should read....How's the view look from a top of that dung heap? lol.
notapplicable66 4 years ago
That probably would have cost too much money and put them over budget because of the several different endings there was.
notapplicable66 4 years ago
Quest for glory 5 didn't have a shitty ending. I chose to marry Katrina and become king, but there was several different endings to the game.
notapplicable66 4 years ago
Well the thing is they should of had a more visual ending...i mean all the other quest for glory game's ending had something visual about it such as having the town gather around the hero in the end of the game. It wasn't there in the fifth, although to be fair Sierra at the time was kind of rushing the coles to get the game through so that probably played a big part in the ending being the way it was
mastertae 4 years ago
it was just a credit roll after the dragon boss wasn't it? I haven't played in years, I don't remember it being spectacular though. The others were always fulfilling though.
not4resale 4 years ago
How long haven't we all been waiting for this ;-; Is it actually going to be done? Because it look hella awesome, that's for sure ~_^
Rasse992 4 years ago
I hope so....this series was a classic.
Fymious 4 years ago
Depending on the popularity of this upcoming game, I would want to see QFG5 redone with this kinda graffix and more content and less bugs. Because, let's face it, 5 was a shitty ending to an awesome series, and it looks like AGDI is doing a wonderful job with this game.
RaineMan213 4 years ago
Hey... that's a really freaking good idea!
Some things would be hard to tackle, like the overworld map in QFG5 but it'd be really cool to see. I really loved QFG5, but I agree, it wasn't as polished as it should've been. It was a satisfying ending to the series, but more could've been done.
XinBiDe 4 years ago 2
The overworld wouldn't be SO difficult. Remember Tarna...that worked pretty well. As I remember correctly, they were implemented in a similar fashion, it was just that Silmeria was loads bigger.
I liked the glitch where you could marry all the women, if you wanted to be a lecherous bastard, haha.
BUT I didn't like having to choose between Katrina and Erana...that sucked.
RaineMan213 4 years ago 2
This game is going to be the best. Need I say that AGD1 is extremely beautiful and very sexy. She is one of the hottest game designers out there. Guess it doesn't hurt that she is my girl. :)

This was one of my favourite games as a kid. I played through heaps of times, with every class. I enjoyed other games of the same genre, Sierra ones in particular. But there is something quite special about this one, I believe.

^I just have a quick question if you don't mind.
Have you downloaded KQ1+2 (VGA versions) from their Website already? If you have, what's your opinion about it?...I am thinking on downloading them, but I am not sure yet. Thanks. :)
ananda81 4 years ago
I haven't actually. Going by looks and what I've heard, they are EXCELLENT games. I believe they were even featured in Game Informer. I'm going to buy the King's Quest collection sometime in the near future and will DEFINITELY download the VGA versions when I do. Either way, I highly recommend you download them.
ThatManOverThere 4 years ago
I already bought the KQ Collection, along with the Space Quest Collection! XD
KQ 1+2 are still in CGA on there. But they do have the VGA version of SQ1.
I have not played KQ1+2 yet,(I have only played parts 5, 6, 7 in the Series) so I think I am going to download it tomorrow! :D
...I really hope, they are still going to release Quest for Glory 2 though!
ananda81 4 years ago
It looks fantastic. I can't wait until it is finally released. Getting QFG2 to run on my computer is a pain in the butt and this looks great. This is the best of the series if you ask me.

wtf..? this is a new game..? looks like a windows 95 game... seriously if this is all new it should be way better graphics. i was expecting something way better for a remake. ne way ill probably play it.. i downloaded the old version (DOS) just the other day.. been playing it for a bit. kinda boring tho, cos its soo old..
LolToalNoobs 4 years ago
...You ignorant, silly little bafoon. They were trying to keep it similar to the other games, and inbetween the graphics of the QFG1 VGA remake and the 1992 QFG3. thats right, 1992... OLD.... Get it ?

can't wait for this. QG2 is really one of the best in the series, IMO.
Iostars 4 years ago
This never came out, did it?
AndrewJNeis 4 years ago
This appears to be a fan-made remake, trying to update QFG2 in the same way that Sierra themselves updated QFG1 in 1992. According to the site of the people doing this, they've done the same successfully for King's Quest 1 and 2, so I guess it's pretty likely that we will be able to replay this game in vivid, life-like VGA graphics pretty soon.
echnin 4 years ago
Oh okay. So it's not out yet, but will soon be?
AndrewJNeis 4 years ago
Well yeah; the site says 2007 so... anyway, I don't care - I won't have time to play it before 2008 anyway. :P
echnin 4 years ago
Haha
You ever played The Journeyman Project? I loved those games, too. A fan team is making a remake using the Source engine from Half-Life, but they ran into troubles with Valve on doing that. Let's hope that this team goes smooth.:)
Oh hey, what about the music being re-done in orchestra? I wanna hear that. I love the MIDI music and a full orchestra would be even better. I think QFG4 had the best music.
AndrewJNeis 4 years ago
#2 was probably my favorite QFG game. I remember opening the box and seeing NINE 3.5" disks in there. But that's what made these games so great. The people making comments about "I don't have the attention span" are probably those people who like to just move & shoot around a game screen then brag that they shot the most things and "beat the game" That wasn't the point of adventures... it was actually to see how LONG it took you to finish it and to see if you really did explore EVERYTHING!
XenonExplosion 4 years ago
Fuck this comment feature. I've tried to post two lines of text about 50 times and it keeps saying it needs to be under 500 characters. Damn you tube.
XenonExplosion 4 years ago
Of course they have replay value. There are usually different endings depending on your actions and different solutions to puzzles and additional areas depending on your character type. QFG2 has always been my favorite. Granted, I own the old documentation so the alleys are cake. Im looking forward to the remake.
celticcoldfire 4 years ago
I never did beat this game... I got stuck at the very last scene because I didn't pick up something and it was too late to go back and get it - that and I'd saved over the savepoint that could get me there... Fun game, but ended up being really frustrating. I prefer QFG1, but good to see a remake of 2 in the works.

astayonix 4 years ago
I didn't know it wasn't out but I like to see play throughs of any quest for glory game
johlysid 4 years ago
Running around the goddamn labyrinth city in the second one was not for me. Of course, since Sierra is beyond defunct like all PC Adventure game companies when they got eaten up by moronic businessmen, I doubt this is even a legitimate remake. If it was, I'd only play it if the first one was available, and it didn't feel like it'd take my whole life to complete it.
LOLZ CENSORED. Poor camel.
ZaffireWolf 5 years ago
Did the Quest for Glory series even have any replay value? From what I remember, they were extraordinarily time-consuming, which is alright for some, but I just feel like I'd never be able to get into this game with its overwhelming overload of overdone environment detail immersion. I had fun with these games when I was younger, but I only had the attention span or time to fool around in the first one and the third one, I don't think I ever beat them.
ZaffireWolf 5 years ago
ive beat them all, and played every game like 50 times each , i replayed and replayed because i was like trying to brake a record :P my record was to finish all in one week, i was the master, lol
