:) not really.. The reason they paint the bottom of the trees white is because the sun is too hot during summer months and white as you know does not absorb (but rather reflects back)the sun rays. As a result the tree roots remain in a relatively more humid environment and the tree is protected from the heat. As for scorpions: there may be many difficulties one could face while visiting Greece but as far as I know scorpions are very very low on the list (if at all there).

Why does no-one ever mention the scorpions and the danger of walking in sandals whilst in Greece? You know, I presume, that the reason they paint the bottom of the trees white, is to enable you to see the wee bstrds at night!? They don't give the same reason to the toooorists. Not funny. They will kill you if you don't get IMMEDIATELY to hospital. Good Luck. Yamas!!
