  • too bad your football team sucks

  • The Oldest Band in the Land and The BEST...

...The Band of the Fighting Irish!!!

    WE ARE ND!

Celebrating 100 years (1908-2008) of the greatest of all university fight songs...

    ...The Notre Dame Victory March!

  • LSU's band positively owns Notre Dame's girly band 4 to 1. LSU's band shellacked ND's band at the game, arguably as bad as the football team did.

    Youtube

    #1 LSU song - 103K hits

    #1 ND song - 26K

Kazaa backs this fact up. Do your research so we don't have to school you:

    LSU 120 hits;

    ND 26 hits

1st down, 2nd down cheer, 4th Down (Bandit), Alma Mater, American Salute, Chant, Drumline, Stadium Entrance, Tear the Roof, TIGER ON ACID (favorite), and Vehicle.

  • But that's not all of the LSU material:

Green Onions, Hey Baby, Fightin Tigers, Lucretia McEvil, Malaguena, Oye Como Va, Pregame, Pure Disco, Schools Out, Spinning Wheel.

    SEC rules!

  • ND,LSU; to of the best but ND is #1.... NDs band is the best ever

  • Ok, well I'm not sure who or what that last comment is directed at, but like I said, its just my opinion on the "lava" thing...seriously though, I really do think the sound (not the marching) is good here, and I would like to know the name of the song being played right there if anyone knows...

  • The song is called Africa by Toto. the theme for ND band is Africa where they played the song, had volcano, and a lion.

  • I would have to disagree.

  • Also, I think the "lava" streamers thing at the end of their show was a little cheesy and high school to me, but thats just how I feel about it....peace.

  • I don't want to get involved in all this mud slinging, but I have to say that from a strictly marching band standpoint, this video clearly shows bad spacing, poor lines, and sloppy forms from ND. You can banter back and forth as much as you want, but the video doesn't lie. I will say that the ND band has a good sound on this video, but to say the show was better is unfair.

  • GO IRISH!

you just LOVE to hate us, but we love you anyway!

    WE ARE ND!

  • Well, I'm a graduate of LSU. I was for LSU in the Sugar Bowl. I have to agree. Notre Dame's band was better. I didn't like what the Tiger Band did. It was boring and very old sort of stuff.

  • Ok, well then you take all of the shows we did last year and pick your favorite and I tell you what...We, the Golden Band from Tigerland will show up at your front door at 4 am, then well see how boring our halftime show was to you!!! We work our asses off all year and this is what you have to say about us??? What happened to supporting your Alma Mater??? I don't care about your personal opinion b/c in the broad scheme of things, it doesn't mean sh*t. (cont.)

  • I'm tired of LSU fans thinking that they can just come down on whoever they want to if they don't like what's happening at LSU. We are one of the best bands, if not the best college marching bands in the nation. And another thing, if you knew one thing about marching band and the time and dedication and the fundamentals and skill that it took to participate and be as good as the GBFTL is, you wouldn't have sh*t to say!!!!

  • Over the last 20-25 years, the Tiger band has become more stiff, more conventional and less freestyle than it used to be. Now the band has stiff, robot-like rocking back and forth motions, and other goofy movements. Tiger Stadium is still loud as ever, but the band playing after every offensive play has taken a lot of the crowd noise out of the game. Example: Listen to the Putfile of LSU vs Ole Miss from 1972. The crowd chanting GO! GO! is a lot better than the band playing every play.

  • i am dissapointed how you out your own college down like that

  • It would have mattered if the game was in Detriot, we would have been louder. You stupid dommers golf clapped to everything and we scream our heads off. That's why Tiger Stadium is considered the loudest place in the country and Notre Dame's is not.

  • I'm no band expert. I go to games because of football, but some of you idiot domers posting on this are really stupid. Notre Dame's band didnt get cheered for nearly as loud as LSU's. It wasn't even close. The difference was about as bad as the final score of the game in how much more LSU got cheered for.

  • No shit!, IT was a home game for LSU. Its like right around the corner from the Superdome, compared to ND You can't judge who was better by comparing the audiance's cheering. That's a stupid thing to say. You even have LSU alumni saying the ND band was better.

  • Thats complete BS right there. An LSU alum would never put down the Tigerband. If that really did happen, they were trying to make you guys feel better for getting your asses handed to you.

I guess on Jan 7th 2008, it will just be another unfair home game for LSU in New Orleans. Damn!

  • The University of Notre Dame Marching Band!

celebrating its 162nd year and 120th football season, America's FIRST University Band!

and now here it is...THE BAND OF THE FIGHTING IRISH!!!

Celebrating the centennial of the greatest of all university fight songs, The Notre Dame Victory March! (1908-2008)

  • ok yes we are the best band in the land not just because of the uniforms or the perfect lines but because we make 92,00 people in tiger stadium stand on their feet and yell lsu lsu lsu as the band marches onto the field and when ya'll can even win a game and get all of your fans on their feet and scream irish irish irish or whatever you say then just tell me

and when if ya'll can actually get make a bowl game and still win you can tell me to... and make it against a good team like lsu does

  • It's funny to see the mature comments about this video such as you are stupid and you suck. If you don't like the video, don't watch it.

  • I was at the suger bowl and IM a huge LSU fan. ND band is pretty good but i believe LSU's band is way better. ND i found was annoying because of the constant drum beat they played for each down. LSU doesn't win the Heisman Trophy of Bands award for nothing.

  • Simple question: Why is ND just the most arrogant and cocky school in the US. This video's title is "Notre Dame's band is better" Are you kidding me? Who gives a flying f**k!! I never see any other schools do this. "We have the most tradition and history than anyone . . . blah blah" Get over yourselves! No one cares except you! Do you just play the "our band is better" card every time your football team gets his ass kicked? Or when you win you say "Ha our team and our band are better than you"?

  • For your information, I am a huge LSU fan, but the truth is Notre Dame's band was better than LSU at the SugarBowl. LSU is great at many things but when it is a competition between the bands, Notre Dame, blew them away so get over yourself.

  • You are so stupid. I have been in the LSU marching band for 5 years and Notre Dame's band was one of the most boring, and unprofessional looking bands I have ever seen. Even Vandy's band looked and sounded better.

  • seems if you are so smart ...you could make a simple straight line...just saying

  • its too bad that ur crowd gave us a much louder response in cheers than u all, u should have seen the camera flashes going....u put them to sleep and we entertained them...so keep being proud of your GAY uniforms and ur lines...man you cajuns are some of the dumbest....tigers education bleauxs

  • yeah thats y when the notre dame band played u could hear a little cheering but when the LSU band came on, the crowd was cheering so loud that u couldnt even hear the band playing, and all u could hear was the crowd chanting "Tigers, Tigers, Tigers..." yeah we relle put them to sleep alrite

  • Dude, the Notre Dame uniforms can't hold a candle to ours. Your stupid uniforms look like crap, and don't get me started on the retards that march around in the furry hats. We are better, you suck...end of story.

Oh and you must be mistaken with who cheered louder. Go watch a replay of the game and even the announcers commented on how loud the stadium was when we took the field. Do your homework and recognize that you got burned.

  • i wonder why lsu fans were louder than the notre dame fans, maybe cause it was in f'in new orleans just a bus ride from the LSU campus, and where is notre dame? northern indiana, if the game was in chicago or detroit, im positive that the notre dame fans would have been much louder than the lsu fans

  • seems like you need to support your football team some more

  • sorry, we're not a competitive marching band-we support a football team. If you want perfect lines watch DCI.

  • That's a lousy excuse.

  • That's a lousy retort coming from someone supporting an even lousier marching band. First of all, yes, Notre Dame was America's first college marching band. Secondly, no, your band is not better than ours, larger, yes, but better??? I think not. We have about a quarter of the amount of woodwind players you do and we still can out play and out march your band. (cont.)

  • We always knew you Notre Dame types could choke on the wood better. Speaking of choking how about that football team??? Brady Quinn looked more like Fraidy Quinn to me. One last word of wisdom before I go...your little halftime style peakstep that you do or half-peakstep (I couldn't tell which one it was because half of the band was doing one and the other half was doing the other) was atrocious. You need to tell Dr. Dye that that half/full-peakstep is just not working.

  • terrible lines
