You won't get the full quality from YouTube because it only supports stereo, not 5.1 sound. You need the original audio file and a 5.1 channel sound card for the proper experience. Still sounds beast on my Pro-Luxe PX-921 though :£

Hey thanks for the link. I tried using this video on my 5.1 surround system and I noticed my rear-speakers were playing sounds together, instead of playing them separately (Right and Left). I believe xStalkerxx is right in that "youtube does not support 5.1" ... but now my question is "why not"? Does anyone know how this could be done? Or do we have to wait 5 to 10 years for YouTube to implement this type of feature? Makes me wonder if they'll ever do this. It would be cool if they did.

Thanks for sending me a message on yr latest vid. Dolby is good, but I still prefer DTS over Dolby any day for home cinemas. However I can't tell much difference between Dolby and DTS in an actual Multiplex Theater. They sound pretty close the same there to me. I have yet to hear SDDS (Sony Dynamic Digital Sound), but I've been told it's not as good as the other two.

No, the fact that your decoder is outputting 6 channels doesn't mean that it's decoding a 5.1 source. YouTube is 128kbps AAC stereo (highest quality - 720/1080p) and-does-not-support-5.1-at-th­is-time.
