I got to meet George here at a Detroit show in 1999 at the Token Lounge. I arrived about two hours before the doors opened, to get a ticket. The security guys wouldn't let me stay because the band was doing their sound check. It was pouring rain outside, and Geroge came by and asked me if I wanted to stay there instead of running to my car in the rain. That was very cool of him, and I got to see them jam some cover tunes It was awesome. George is a guitar god and an all around cool guy!!
Probably the best band at the whole festival, was there, and they brought it...even in 100 degree heat and high humidity...was hot and sweaty as hell.
