Great Demo, Rebecca. I haven't used visual interviews like this and would like to learn more about the process. I've always interviewed people by phone. I think visual is even more effective!
@greenlightcoach there are a couple of really easy software tools to get depending on if you are on MAC or PC..the one I used in demo mode is for MAC and is under $20.
@goodfinancialcents yes and if we don't follow the basics it will bit us. It is amazing how many businesses big and small who forget or just don't know
What a GREAT Interview Rebecca! I see we are in the same field :) She's got great points. Identity your audience is so important. Having that, everything else falls in place.
Great tip that the message you create has to be focused on "What's in it for me" for the person watching/listening to that message. Thanks for sharing!
@ThatInterviewGuy I bet you do this intuitively now that you interview all the time... having to draw out what is best and most interesting to your listeners.
@IamStevenVargas think about the colours of big brands..MacDonalds,chicago bears,American Airlines, Mari SMith, Facebook...they all do colour branding,,even fonts are important. They work on us subliminally.
@termspec apparently, there are many many who do not but it is the basis of best marketing practice..So many people just answer ...my ideal customer is everybody. :-)
Rebecca..Congrats on your interview. Great info...know your ideal customer, know your ideal message and identify your marketing tactics. I particularly liked the idea of practicing integrated marketing to strengthen a tactic.
Thanks for bringing Charlene to us Rebecca. Great tips Charlene! I especially like the point you made about social media and going where your people are. We tend to hang out with our peers on social media and forget about our peeps. That's why I now spend more time on FB than Twitter. My peers are on Twitter, and my peeps are following me on FB.
@MarleneHielema good thing you figured that out Marlene. With your information and training it seems like FB facilitates more i depth communication than twitter ever will.

Great steps to work from. I see too many people try to hit too broad a market and end up with an ineffective campaign. Good interview.

@EternalAdvertising1 I am still surprised when I hear experienced business owners tell me that their market is everyone.

Orange is known by color experts as color that tells the viewer "this is approachable, this is for everyone". That is why Home Depot is orange. .

Love the idea of using colors as a branding technique. That comes in handy with online marketing when you are doing video interviews, especially...
