  • I can't believe the Conservative Party opposed this motion! What is wrong with Canadians?? Why did they give Harper a majority????

  • i got so tired of the biased reporting by CBC, CNN, and BBC that I compiled a blog titled "The Battle For Libyan Oil Fields by Bill Woollam" Just Google that if you care for an entirely different perspective

  • if you don't want to fight in Iraq come live here Welcome to all Americans that want to get away from that crazy war.

  • I love how they go through every voting member by name and position on the bill. I find it old fashioned, like the US Senate.

  • How come Harper was not here?

  • @MajBlood typical harper

  • U.S should cut off any financial aid to Canada.

  • hahaha. The US is broke my friend.

  • @Tennessee44444 Considering that the US is in debt to Canada, unlikely.

  • @Tennessee44444 Financial aid? Canada is not a 3rd world country

  • too bad canada is so cold. good decision though.

  • @roaringwaterbay Did you know Southern Ontario is more south then your 27 northern states! >:) Who's cold now!

  • Yes sr. This soldiers who now are in Canada deserve respect, and protection from the USA. They understood that the Iraq war is a false one. Fuck Harper if he is against the Ex-soldiers to stay in Canada. If Harper does anything agaisnt this ex-soldiers he will pay dearly during the next election for Prime Minister.

  • Yes and we also have the right, and duty to overthrow or take up arms against a government turned corrupt and tyrannical. *stares at the clock*..

  • ...and we don't torture either. Yey Canada!

  • hey, we let them in Vietnam, we should let them stay now

  • harper likes the nwo

  • Id like to welcome all US war resisters to Canada. You are among us, and we are glad to have you.

  • I cried when I first saw this

  • I thought that one of the war resisters was deported back to the US or at least out of Canada.

  • Are we really that much more moral when do next tonothing to protect our own sovereignty by not equipping our armed forces with the equipment they need to do the job effectively as possible....yet turn around and expect the U.S. to be there if trouble comes..I realize in saying what I've posted I'll incur alot of angry responses but I hope Canadians think about this before rushing to make judgement calls on other nations...

  • Unfortunately this government does not feel obliged to abide by the resolutions of Parliament.

If this government ignores the Canadian constitution,

ignores the resolutions of the Canadian Parliament,

ignores the recommendations of the Canadian Senate,

ignores the decisions of the United Nations,

ignores the expressed wishes of the Canadian people,

to whom IS this government accountable?

    To George W. Bush, evidently.

    And that is unacceptable.

  • That's why we need the coalition pal!

  • beautiful! what a wonderful surprise. I must have missed this big news while I was away, working in the bush. Well, I'm so happy for those tireless war resisters who have been living in limbo since five years ago. The cause is a moral one, and Canada is once again on the rights side.

  • is that not funny almost all those neocons opposed it
