The last thing the Mormons want is to see gays as human beings. Will all flaws, imperfections and vulnerabilities there in. What do you expect from a church that hated blacks until quite recently.
I live in Utah & I'm not a Mormon, I was until I was kicked out of my church for refusing to wear a skirt & take my piercings out & cover my tattoos. Everything about that church is flawed! I feel bad for all the men & women who are being tortured by their judgement! They have a set way of how they think life should be & it is wrong... I am not saying everyone who is a Mormon is a bad person, but most have clouded opinions on things they know NOTHING about.

I've know of a man that used to have the same problem as you…he had a difficult time. God healed his temptation…don’t give up on your struggle. Just as an alcoholic shouldn’t give into alcohol even though he/she may be fighting it for 35 years, never give up! There are ways out there to fight bad temptations/evil/sinful acts against self. Heterosexuals struggle with chastity too! We’re all God’s children. It leads to awful things if we give in. Any sin is bad.

How could it be okay, being homosexual is contrary to the nature in which you are created. I can say without a shadow of a doubt as a mormon. We do not discriminate against any homosexuals or lesbians they are beloved spirit sons and daughters of God. I think this brother needs to be a little more honest with himself. I'm a Christian but I still support gays. My uncle is gay and unfortunately my parents have less of a relationship with him because of that. The Bible says to love your neighbor as yourself but for some reason gays aren't included in that? I don't understand that hatred towards gays. Why does someone's sexual orientation dictate how your treat them? It's the same with race, religion, etc. I'm a Christian and I support fair treatment towards gays.

I had a very good friend growning up who was Mormon, he was a missionary and honestly one of the best and most honorable people I ever knew. As a Mormon he dislikes foul language doesn't even like it in movies (though, oddly, violence seems to be fine) one thing he has no trouble with is using the word "faggot". This is pretty much the same story with me. Only, I was never married and I also had to come out as male. I prayed basically the same prayer for many years. I wanted evidence that God was there. I've know of a man that used to have the same problem as you…he had a difficult time. God healed his temptation…don’t give up on your struggle. Just as an alcoholic shouldn’t give into alcohol even though he/she may be fighting it for 35 years, never give up! There are ways out there to fight bad temptations/evil/sinful acts against self. What a beautiful story. I'm straight but I've always been put off by intolerance. I had a very good friend growning up who was Mormon, he was a missionary and honestly one of the best and most honorable people I ever knew. As a Mormon he dislikes foul language doesn't even like it in movies (though, oddly, violence seems to be fine) one thing he has no trouble with is using the word "faggot". He won't say the word damn, fuck, shit, or even hell, but the word faggot is just fine by him. Sad.

This is pretty much the same story with me. Only, I was never married and I also had to come out as male. I prayed basically the same prayer for many years. I wanted evidence that God was there. I wanted him to change me into the kind of woman I knew my eternal partner wanted to have by his side for eternity. I began investigating the LDS Church (Mormons) about 3 months ago, I simply walked into the chapel closes to where I live and attended the next church service. My life has changed so much since then, so many of my vices and sinful ways of living have simply dropped off, the spirit of the church has changed the way I think resulting in different decisions in my life, I now have a great job and new friends and my addictions are gone.
