@TheTazed173 Most of us ride our trucks very loose. I find it helps a lot. It means a bit less stability at speed but I'd much rather have the extra maneuverability, tight trucks feel gross to me. Thanks man!

@MrJoey2miles They're pretty smooth. They wear somewhat quickly but they are predictable and cheap and leave dope thane. I'd recommend getting 65mm cause you'll have 3mm more life. They're on the first page of S9 wheels.

@MrMegaFreestylez Longboarding is a very broad term encompassing a lot of different disciplines, but the general truths are that longboard is done on bigger wheels, wider trucks and longer boards. They vary greatly in size, shapes and stiffness, and can be used for anything from fast downhill to sliding to flatland dancing. This is part of what I love about the sport - you aren't restricted to one board shape or style. Also, it's really really practical - it's fast, smooth and FUN to get around.

Hey man nice video. Im looking at getting an original freeride board but I cant decide on the 41 RockerConcave or WConcave. I read something about one being better for freeriding than the other, while the other is better at freestyle. To be honest, I have no idea what that means, so could anyone tell me what the difference between freeriding and freestyle is?

@MrRubixBunny freestyle is all the flippy tricks, and freeride is like this video. personally with the freeride the rockers better for everything. you already have a wide platform on the 41 and gas pedals.

@MrRubixBunny Freeride is more about riding and sliding down hills, while freestyle is oriented around flat ground tricks. Rocker vs. W concave is partially personal preference - rocker allows you to feel a little more "locked in" without having a drop in the deck near each truck. Generally, this feels good for freeriding. However, W-cave allows you to have more leverage points for your back foot, allowing for varied slides without a big change in back foot placement. Both look fun :)

I mainly just ride downhill but I'd really like to be able to do slides on my board aswell. I'm looking at the retro freerides but I don't know what durometer would be good for both downhill and some simple sliding. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

@jaybeebee14 I'd recommend other wheels, everyone I know who's ridden the retro freerides isn't a fan. I've heard much better things about flashbacks, grippins... anything in classic thane in the 80-84a range, if you want to go Abec11. Plenty of other good options too

@nicscrubs dont get bear grizzlies, their pivot cups always tend to crack even with the slightest impacts. Just stick with Calibers, Randals or paris if your using casts.

@Jobryan205 The shaka doesn't have very aggressive concave, and it has a bit of flex, so I wouldn't do really fast downhill on it but for medium/fast freeride it's not a bad option. The slight rocker and very slight drop help make it a bit more locked in. And the "Belly Model" is a Mystery Model chopped into the shape of a Belly racer, and I put 65mm wheels on it cause they're fun :)

@RippingFingers Just cruising around isn't too bad but speed, slides, and tricks all take a lot of practice to learn. Luckily there's a long continuum of tricks to learn, and there's a pretty limitless amount of potential progression, which is one thing I love so much about the sport... it's always satisfying, and you can always get better
