  • Wow thanks for the trip down memory lane. ( ̄ー ̄)✌

  • Thank you so much for uploading this! I watched it so many years ago, so beautiful! :)

  • She made the deal. What type of movie is this

  • @Poetic4Downfall Sadly, it is not the movie we all hoped where they would fall in love and Sarah wouldn't have rejected Jareth, but a movie of growing up and getting out of your own selfishness.

  • Sarah was a bit of a brat at the start of the film. I love all of the lessons that she learns.

  • Who wrote the book of labyrinth? Because I can't find it.

  • @T101vsT1000 I answered this on another part of the movie, but A. C.H. Smith....the cover has a picture of Jareth (David Bowie) holding out a crystal with Sarah inside it and Jareth's labyrinth behind her...if that helps).

  • You know you're a David Bowie fan when you refuse to blink whenever he's on the screen! Lol

  • @tigger31086 true lol

  • @StefieSnapeMalfoy What's true? Sorry, I've made way too many comments on this movie to keep track of which ones people reply to...lol.

  • this movie is fucking amazing but who else thinks this bitch was high as fuck throughout all this shit?

  • You think Jennifer Connelly, who plays Sarah was wired? On cocaine or LSD? I very much doubt it. I'll look again to see if her pupils are dilated, but, I find it very unlikely.

  • @lataya95 Sorry! No chance, even in the dark her pupils are tiny - which suggests she is actually scared. Good acting! Look at films with River Phoenix if you want to see a sky high minor.

  • Anyone notice Sarah's CATS poster???

  • Yes! I saw it backwards in the mirror.

  • @MrCdm75 saw what in the mirror?

  • @StephanieTaylor16 Hi! I was responding to Aerodil, who asked if "anyone notice Sarah's CATS poster?"

  • Btw sorry if I commented to mutch :/

  • @Extreamperductions Oh believe me you don't have to worry. I've commented on this one movie probably somewhere near a hundred times. David Bowie is definitely an amazing actor. He's also a great singer and person in general. I'm a big fan of his. I love his eyes and his accent the most.

  • David Bowie is an amazing actor

  • Kinda sad, but part of me kinda wants to know how it would have happened if Sarah didn't make it on time or if she hadn't told Jareth he had no power over her...

  • Jim Henson.

  • i want to watch labyrinth 2!!! its not fair how they show the trailer and then dont show the movie!!!! >:(

  • @fecia123 Sadly there was never a Labyrinth 2 ever made. Those trailers you see are only fanfics. I was mad too. There was a rumor a while back that they WERE going to make one, but before too much action could be taken on it Jim Henson died (RIP)...

  • @darkitten1 sounds like a plan!! lolz

  • Sarah may need Hoggle and Ludo and the others, but I NEED KING JARETH!!!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Don't we all? Awwwwwwwwwww!! *she says with a dreamy look in her eyes*

  • @tigger31086 DIBS!!!!!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Uh-huh, yeah...good luck with that! ;) We'll see who gets him first...lol!

  • @tigger31086 OH, HAHA! * claws pops out and i hiss* We'll see about that, and maybe he will rearrange the stars for one of us!!! Hahaha, LOL! LOVE HIM!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Remember, he moves the stars for no one. I love David Bowie in general, but his most amazing acting job was doing this movie. He really put himself into being Jareth. I'll get my claws out too and we'll just see who the last kitty purring is...lol (totally kiddling)!

  • @tigger31086 True, and I love him! I really wanted to be Sarah in that ball scene, and let me tell you, i wouldnt have pulled a cinderella, upped it, and left! I wouldve stayed there "Until the world falls down!" He was serenading her! Geeez-o-flip! why would she leave! I wouldve been like, take toby, i dont care, just let me stay!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 lol! Every time I watch it I always imagine that I am Sarah and Jareth is singing to me. Then I come out of it when Sarah starts to pull away from him and I always frown for Jareth. I would have told him as long as he sent Toby home safe I would stay with him.

  • @tigger31086 Exactly!!! I love how nice he is to Toby though. It's sooo sweet! And i love when he commands everyone to laugh! HAHAHA! WELL?!? HAHAHAHA!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Yep, he's not your typical "evil" guy. He never actually hurts anyone and he uses mind control to try to win. I think when he commands the others to laugh during "Magic Dance" and when he's looking in his crystal at Sarah in the oubliette is funny too. I also love the fact that he pretends to use his cane as a microphone at the beginning of "Magic Dance". That's true David Bowie!

  • @tigger31086 Completely agreeing with you there! I always wonder what he is like when he is cruel, because he did say, " I have been generous, but I can be very cruel." WHY CAN'T FICTIONAL GUYS BE REAL!!! I need a life size cut out of Jareth!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 lol! It's all about mind control. He's trying to get Sarah to believe he's been generous by taking Toby, re-ordering time so she doesn't get to him in time, and offering her her dreams in exchange for the baby. Then when he says he can be cruel he's trying to get her to believe that he's the only one who can offer her these things and he can take them away just as easily. That's the genious of this movie. You can't beat the bad guy so easily & part of you

  • @thetwilightwolf100 doesn't want to. Other movies you can just set a trap for the bad guy and you really want to get rid of him.

  • @tigger31086 Hmm, yes, quite.. I don't care anyways, though, I still love him! I love how we are taking up most of the comments board for our conversation, though it is a good one!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Oh indeed, I still love him too! Almost 26 years later I still shake my head at Sarah and say, "Don't do it Sarah," right before she says, "You have no power over me." I've never defeated Jareth nor have I wanted to. His eyes hypnotized me from the beginning along with his voice. I think it's quite funny we spent a whole page of messages about this on here too. I guess that's what happens when you have such an awesome movie to talk about!

  • @tigger31086 OMG the eyes KILL ME!!! Love them! And when Sarah first meets him, I am all like happy laughing and my friends think im crazy obsessed! (Which I am) Love the Fushigi tricks!!!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 I'm crazy obsessed too so cheers for that. I watch this movie quite literally everyday and I never get tired of it. David Bowie has those kind of eyes where I can't look away, no matter who is actually speaking or what other scenery there is that I'm supposed to be looking at. If he's on the screen he's my main focus. I love all the tricks too!

  • @tigger31086 I watched it for the first time 4 days ago and have watched it everyday since and can recite it line for line! Soon im gonna post me singing within you!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Well I guess we are pretty much twins then! I can recite this too if asked. I love this movie! For Jareth and for the lesson it teaches. Good luck with the video if you are really gonna do it. I don't know if you have this channel or not, but Labyrinth will be on tomorrow morning at 10:10am (central) if you wanna watch. There is a bit of deleted scene on here, but not anything major.

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Sorry, I just realized a may not have told you the channel and now I read that I didn't. It's FLIX...

  • @tigger31086 I think i do! It was actually on STARZ the other day and i saw the part with Jareth singing within you. So i asked my dad, Is this Pam's Labyrinth or something, but he said no, it was just labyrinth, so i searched it and fell even more deeply in love!!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Well I'm glad someone shares my love for the movie. I hope you get to watch it this morning!

  • @tigger31086 Already did! I woke up really early and pulled it up on my comp!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Now it is on on both of my tv's being recorded. Jareth is offering her the crystal!!!

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Sounds awesome! That's definitely a treasure you'll want to keep safe! lol

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Hey when you do, link me to it? sounds like fun. :)

  • @ElderRoseThorn No prob! :3

  • @tigger31086 if he's on the screen he's my only focus, :D

and it's to bad he had to get punched in the eye to get that look, of course he'd still be sexy as hell, without it, the eyes are just a huge bonus. :)

  • @ElderRoseThorn Even though I know he was punched and has a permanently dilate pupil, that's not what I meant. His eyes are sensitive and yet carry mystery in them that makes me want to not look away.

  • @thetwilightwolf100 too bad it's not really him doing the tricks, but don't let that spoil it.

  • @ElderRoseThorn Micheal Moshen did a great job having to be "blind" for the first time.

  • @tigger31086 Are you kidding? LOL, you two took up a huge space, the ENTIRE movie. :D

  • @ElderRoseThorn I know

  • @thetwilightwolf100 Why a cutout? I want a life sized REAL life Jareth!

Quote: and the king of the goblins fell in love with the girl.

Quote: Just let me rule you, and you can have everything that you want.

Quote: Fear me, love me, do as i say, and i will be your slave!

    Ahhhh!!! Jareth, be mine? ;(

  • @ElderRoseThorn I KNOW!!!Turns out, if ya go to staples with a pic, the can blow it out to life size! IMMA GONNA DO IT!!! then im gonna put it on to cardboard and cut it out. THOUGH THE REAL ONE WOULD BE ALL THE BETTER.

And i Love it when jareth goes "Nothing, Nothing? NOTHING, TRA LA LA!?

  • oh my, i havent seen this movie since i was 5! i remembered i use to always love it. i never knew the name until just recently. I just watched it with my 8 yr old daughter, & now she is in love with it! THANK YOU SO MUCH! & AWESOME QUALITY!!!!

  • @stefanie715 Finally someone who said they loved it as a child! I did (and still do) too, but it seems like alot of people were scared of it as a child, which is understandable.

  • @tigger31086 yes i agree! :)

  • @tigger31086 deliciously evil LOL it always makes me wonder if Toby was in any real danger at all... I mean... Jareth never DID anything to him... and seemed to like him enough...I guess what makes Jareth so ... "innocent" in a way is cause he never really harmed anyone lol I wonder what would have happened is Sarah didn't complete the labyrinth in time? Hmm food for thought eh?

  • @DrWhoManiac666 Deliciously evil in the sense that he never actually harmed anyone, even Toby, but that he was using his charms and looks to win over Sarah. He did threaten Hoggle quite a few times, but that's a typical evil guy to me. That's what I meant by delicious. He didn't do really any typical evil guy stuff to win. He was trying to take control of her mind by just being himself.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE <3 :)

  • @tigger31086 Genius indeed! The the writing and the portrayal of the character were brilliant... Jareth is written as the obvious antagonist but still had a hefty amount of a protagonist's traits (heck at least he's not as whiny as Sarah lol).. which made you sympathize with him... then they got David to play him and really hit the nail on the head.. Seems like everyone combined forces to make the perfect... shall I say....villian?

  • @DrWhoManiac666 lol! Villian I guess would be the word to use. He's so deliciously evil in a way that makes you love him. He thinks a lot of himself too because he knows even though Sarah knows she must save Toby she has trouble resisting Jareth and that makes him very happy...until the end when she does resist him. I know with his deliciously evil ways if I were playing the part of Sarah I wouldn't be able to resist him enough to save Toby.

  • @tigger31086 unfortunately your right lol its one if those endings where you know its supposed to be happy but part of you just isn't feeling it lol

  • @DrWhoManiac666 Yep...Jim Henson and all involved are geniuses for making a character like Jareth. He's the only "evil" guy I've ever actually felt bad for by the end of the movie. Everyone else I'm always like, "Oh shut up and go away!" lol

  • @tigger31086 lol what upset me was she never even bothered to work out a deal lol it was just like all or nothing with her lol

  • @DrWhoManiac666 Yep, me too. She could have said if he sent Toby home safe and sound she would stay, but as much as we don't want to admit it, this movie was about her growing up and learning to get out her own world and selfishness...lol.

  • The ending always unnerves me lol off to go write some fanfic lol

  • @DrWhoManiac666 Well, I know she didn't like having to say no to Jareth because of the look she has when she's watching him turn back into an owl. She looks kind of upset like, "Sorry I did this to you, but I know that saving my brother was the more responsible thing to do." Ya know?

  • I wonder if Sarah ever regrets her desision when she's older? Well I'm sure if she ever did, Jareth would still be there :p well that's what I'd like to think anyways lol

  • 2:51 Jareth: "Oh, you're so cool Sarah!" lawl

  • 1:31-2:17 LMFAO

  • i love this movie thanx you should do the epic movie :)

  • I always cry at the end X,)

  • be funny if they showed a shot of her just huging air.. like it was all in her head XD

  • I would gladly be his slave!!!!

  • @maryandzac8890 Wouldn't we all! lol :)

  • Thank you. Amazing quality

  • will be your slave."

  • is there more? oh please tell me there is a sequal, I love Jereth's voice <3 his singing at the end seems like hes thinking of Sarah in a love/sadistic way. Great movie

  • @ByTeam6001 Sorry to report there is no sequel in movie form to this movie (we ALL would have loved it though), but there is one in a series of books called "Return to Labyrinth". It's 4 volumes and it's in comic book form. I personally don't think they were very good, but everyone has there one opinion. And in the end of the movie, he does love her, but he's trying to control her mind and make her give up her free will to him which is shown in the line, "Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I

  • Jareth is attractive. It seems like the bad guys sometimes are like that.

  • @CutieHunter He's the only one I find difficult to defeat! He's actually the reason I started listening to David Bowie's music. I had gotten myself so far trapped into his world that I started to think he was real! LOL! Now after listening to David Bowie's music I'm addicted to the real guy! My brain still refuses to believe that Jareth is David Bowie in a costume and I still get trapped in his world, but at least I don't think he's real anymore! :)

  • @tigger31086 I spent a long time when I was younger thinking that he was true also and I was in love with him. ^__^ It's good to hear someone had the same experience that I had ^_^

  • @Rbitencourt2011 YAY! I thought I was the only one who was so mesmerized by him! LOL! I must admit I still refuse to think it's David Bowie in costume when I see him in this movie even though David Bowie's name appears in the credits, but I no longer think he's a real person past that! I LOVE DAVID BOWIE!!! He's just so great!

  • Thanks for the upload! Your the best!!! Personally, I would have tried to strike a deal with Jareth. As long as the kid got home safe and my parents didn't miss me, I would have been happy to stay in Jareth's world :)

  • @DrWhoManiac666 LOL! Me too! If he truly wanted her more than Toby at the end, which it seemed so, I would have said if he sent Toby home safe and sound I would stay with him. But oh well, it is what it is.

  • thanks for the upload, wish more movies were like this...these days i look at all the movie previews and i go through hundreds and hundreds and only 1-2 are any good :<

  • Also for more trivia, anyone notice how in the beginning of the movie she has a picture of her mom's clippings from stage shows and in the pictures of her mother is a blonde man that looks suspiciously like Jareth. Gives the movie whole new meaning if you think of it as a quest to move past the selfish descisions her mother made (leaving her kid).

  • Sorry I wished you away, HERE'S MY STUFFED BEAR let's just forget this ever happened, kay!

  • @orringtonrose LOL!

  • I say, anyone here want to play a game of scrabble?

  • Just watched the whole thing on youtube. Brings back memories.

  • Thank you very much for the uploads & it was good quality as well!! :)

  • SHE HAS CATS THE MUSICAL POSTER IN HER ROOM!

  • So in the end Jareth was nothing more then an apparition of the Labyrinth. That's cool.

  • @shkdbsahbdlabf1 Yep....just Sarah's own creation.

  • apparently this whole movie is about MK ultra mind control...all i gotta say is it's one mind-fuck you may never recover from

  • So unfairly judged for her performance. Jennifer Connelly was the best Sarah ever and no one could do better. With the exception of a couple facial mishaps in her first meeting with Jareth, she did such an awesome job, especially for a 14 year old on her first movie!!!!!!

  • Bowie is so fab <3

  • R there any movies like this??!??? Like really good!?!?

  • thank you for uploading this video.. i very much appreciate it ...but i wonder what else kind of movies are like these

  • wats up with all the crotch shots in the vid

  • @babygirl23431

try "The Dark Crystal" or something like that its a decent movie

  • I would have said, "return the child and I will be your slave"

  • On another note, it's extremely sad to think that Jim Henson died thinking this movie was a failure. If only he were still with us he could see the response this movie has gotten. I have never seen so many dedicated watchers (including myself) and responders. It's like this was not a movie at all, but real life the way people respond to it now.

  • It's obvious why Hoggle, Sir Didymus, Ludo, the fire gang, and the wise man are at her party in her room in the end, but I have yet to understand why some of Jareth's goblins are there. Did anyone else notice that? I mean, they didn't do anything to help her and I don't even recall them meeting her. It's just always puzzled me..lol!

  • @tigger31086 She defeated Jareth and I'm sure many of them have a respect for her power because she defeated the one whom they had feared but they knew that there was ntohing for fear from her.

  • @Tanakaumi True

  • Anyone notice the figurine of Jareth she has on her desk? :)

  • @erin832001

The movie is full of this stuff - one of the reasons why I love it ^^

  • @erin832001 OMG!!! I NEVER NOTICED THAT!

  • i would have chose jareth

  • I would've told him that I was too young and if he truly did love me, he'd wait and understand why I did not want to choose him. Sarah shouldn't have just written him off like that...thank god for fanfiction. I mean, come on Sarah, the man moved the stars for you!

  • WHERE IS WORM IN THE ENDING? He never did get it his cup of tea!

  • WOW, OMG, such a great movie! This was taped a long time ago and I lost the tape 20 years back and am watching it for the first time. Great pace, great story, awesome ending! Awesome movie!

  • i loved this movie. everything was beautiful

  • The baby boy is SO CUTE!!!! awwwee :)

  • Comment removed

  • Wow... Such a weird, amazing, mind bending film... Beautiful...

  • omg only one thing to say... HAWT!!!!!!!

  • It's so touching when they say, "Should you need us." :)

  • plan:come back when she's 18.

  • 1:50 she has a CATS poster! :)

  • lol at the end EPIC LABYRINTH CREATURE DANCE PARTY!!!

  • Ha! I was right! Firey number one is freakin' elmo!

  • I would have chose jareth!

  • i felt bad for jareth

  • Not bad. Not bad at all! :D

  • Thank you so much for uploading this! I loved it :) And it was very nice quality. Thank you again.
