Cablebasher. Yes she is miserable, well observed. This is accurately labelled. There is plenty of info and tips to be harvested from this video. And if this video inspires just one person to ask 'what if?' then it is a very successful tutorial. If you disagree you don't know how to learn.
What a miserable looking fairy. I agree with all the comments- don't call this a projection mapping tutorial as it's nothing of the kind. Looks like 7,000 people were also looking for something different.
Br5an, technically no, cameras were used to project the textures on, but indeed there is very little difference between straight forward texturing and projection mapping. And sticking the word tutorial into the film title does not constitute 'sneaking' in my opinion. I will admit I do like the phrase 'edutainment' but who searches for that? There is plenty to learn from this film if you sit and watch it. You don't learn anything if you just expect all the data to be spoon fed, break it down, ba
Kinoeye, I do call this a tutorial and a good one too. Seriously dude, there is no need to be such a cry baby. I understand if the techniques are beyond your skill level....keep practicing and keep watching my tutorial
Beautiful video, man! What camera was used to video the girl? And what 3D app did you use for the CG aspects? I'd love to be able to pull off such a cool composition.
@fe1278 you have to know what you are looking at. Maybe i should ammend the title to include the words 'basic knowledge of the subject matter required'

@pew36 This is not projection mapping. In order to have a projection mapping you have to have a real projection!!!

Thanks Benjamin, girl was shot on RED and I tried to make the TUTORIAL as software neutral as possible

Isn't this texture-mapping, not projection mapping?
Also, sneaking the word 'tutorial' into the keywords is one thing, but how is that an appropriate title?

@pew36 no just remove the term "tutorial" because this does not teach anything at all.
