Lennon: The dream is over. It’s just the same, only I’m thirty, and a lot of people have got long hair. That’s what it is, man, nothing happened except that we grew up, we did our thing— just like they were telling us. You kids most of the so called “now generation” are getting a job. We’re a minority, you know, people like us always were, but maybe we are a slightly larger minority because of maybe something or other. The Rolling Stone Interview -
When did you realize, that what you were doing transcended…
Lennon: People like me are aware of their so-called genius at ten, eight, nine… I always wondered, “why has nobody discovered me?” In school, didn’t they see that I’m cleverer than anybody in this school? That the teachers are stupid, too? That all they had was information that I didn’t need.
Rolling Stone Interview - New York City on December 8th, 1970
Lennon: That’s where I should have been. It never works that way. Everybody heads toward the center, that’s why I’m here now. I’m here just to breathe it. It might be dying and there might be a lot of dirt in the air that you breathe, but this is where it’s happening. You go to Europe to rest, like in the country. It’s so overpowering, America, and I’m such a fuckin’ cripple, that I can’t take much of it, it’s too much for me. The Rolling Stone Interview in New York City on December 8th, 1970
Lennon: I love it, and I hate it. America is where it’s at. I should have been born in New York, I should have been born in the Village, that’s where I belong. Why wasn’t I born there? Paris was it in the Eighteenth Century, London I don’t think has ever been it except literary-wise when Wilde and Shaw and all of them were there. New York was it. I regret profoundly that I was not an American and not born in Greenwich Village.

ALL WE ARE SAYIN IS GIVE PEACE A CHANCE.
I say bring down the establishment, bring back Peace, end all protests, begin all Love. Subtract all wars, add more hugs. You say you'll change the Constitution, well ya know, we all wanna change your head You say it's the instituiton, well ya know, You better FREE your MIND instead. All ya need is love. Love is all you need. POWER TO THE PEOPLE.
This should be the official chant of the nationwide Occupy Wall Street protesters, aka We The People. Imagine the energy, conviction, and the message it would convey to the 1%. There's NO escape from us now. We're in it to win it. POWER TO THE PEOPLE RIGHT ON!!!
People need to recover power and stop being blindfolded. Their lack of action has lead to the world's current situation, and it is in us to put everything back together.
Imagine all the people, living for today, living life in peace, sharing all the world. Imagine a world united in reason and truth, with no war, no poverty, no deception, no division. Imagine a world where we all radiate Love's presence, with absolute appreciation for the Infinite dance of Life. This is the world John Lennon imagined, and we are the ones that can achieve it. Search "Truth Contest" in Google, click the 1st result, then open The Present and read what it says.
I was sarcastically expressing Johnson's platform. As I lead into it with "same as it ever was." Johnson like his Tea Bagger brethren believe in the so-called free market, you know the one that was bailed out to the tune of 14 trillion.
Socialism for the wealthy, cold hard capitalism for the rest of us.
I've been a Union Man since I was a wee child. The son and grandson of a family of union electricians. Currently I pay dues to IBEW 108 Tampa, Fl.
@johntrauger68 I am sorry my friend, I have very little links with american forms of socialism. I come from a working class family, my parents worked hard for the little land and shelter we now have, built up from the destruction of WW2, that was brought upon us by the establishment of those days. I get more bitter as time progresses and I start to understand what it was all about. WW2 was a battle against big corporations too...except, the sides were different.
American socialism is and has always been in the form of massive bailouts for the banks which is touted as "saving" the system, or the mere pittance to those who life has dealt a heavy hand. Those with nothing who go on the "dole" are criticized as bums and losers. The bankers however are lionized, only to find opposition as of late in forms of protest seen in NYC.
The owners of industry I feel owe more than just wages paid to workers in the production of the goods and services to be sold for profit.. A payment to society in the form of taxes born of their profits are a payback for the infrastructure and stability that the modern industrial society has invested in with taxes on the wages of its workers.
Labor creates all wealth but society provides the road to stability. Without common cause, we may be back in the jungle.
Give love a chance, power to the people and imagine all tell about truisms governments don't want you to think about.. their only chance of control is to keep the people shadowed in fear. Terrorists, unemployment, the collapse of the dollar, FEMA Camps, Builderburgs, food control, exporting drinking water to China, selling our country (land) out to foreign interests, fraudulent elections, assassinations of MLK.JFK,John Lennon and 1000's of others that would make life better for the people !

Do you think you’re a genius?
Lennon: Yes, if there is such a thing as one, I am one. When I was about 12,
I used to think I must be a genius, but nobody’s noticed. The Rolling Stone Interview: John Lennon. New York City on December 8th, 1970

Gary Johnson, same as it ever was.
Free corporations from taxes, regulation, and unions and all our problems will be solved.
