Separate the mixer and the mediaplayers that also should come with both cd trays and usb ports and you shall have a super solution for both dj's on the go and in the clubs.

The MEP 7000, is quite good, but horrible that you'll need a pc or the cd rives just to encode mp3's
thanks! yeah, a lot of people say the 'all in one'-ness of it could be a liability. I guess you'd have to hope an internal component never broke! also, yes, I should have put a slot for a CD in each player..
I would prefer if all components where separate so if anything goes wrong with a certain part your whole console isn't down but it's a good concept. A system that used standard Pioneer decks & mixer that could connect to a larger LCD screen would be even better so you can mix both CD as well as MP3, just be sure the hard drives are of good capacity.
