maybe they should put up billboards of a smashed up car that has been by a train at all level crossings. but i honestly think its about time that the goverment stepped in and funded crossing were the train goes over a bridge especially on major roads it will achieve 2 things. cars wont need to stop for trains and trains will have a clear run without the risk of some dickhead breaking the law.

Dr George should have thought it out a bit more before proposing "air bags for the front of trains". How the hell is that supposed to work?

The ultimate solution is grade separation (underpass or overpass), but that is expensive and not always practical. But yeah, some people just don't get level crossings.

Wow that ad at the end should be a haunting reminder to anyone!

And yes it's not the engineer's fault if they hit some impatient idiot! But they definitely do have to live with it, even though there isn't a thing they can do.

I saw a train with that ad painted on teh side of it.

It had all the pictures of family and kids and so on, then above it it said something like. "Some things are worth waiting for" I think more trains should have this painted on the side of them so car drivers see it there and then at the crossing.

thats won't work,either the bag's gonna bust,or sent the car flying somewhere's not nice.

increase the fines,and take away the license of anyone who dose it.

i think no matter what you do to a crossing,if someone see's a way around,chances are they gonna do it.

People are idiots some times. I think funding is enough, maybe boom gates should be brought down a bit earlier for more safety, and like mentioned increase the bloody fine.
