  • Just classic and timeless...

  • Insensitive Words cut to the Bone, Sweet words can be so healing....Think with your Heart, feel your Brain...It could help Heal the Hurtin Pain... Mr Withers, where art Thou...we need you Here...Thank you to all the Sensitive Lovely People who

spread the mesage of Love & Joy in these Dark Times, hear some sunshine {sigh}*

A Great Soul of Depth...A Voice to Heal All...*

  • Bill honey i just love all your songs.....

  • Smooth from start to finish. Bill Withers is just awesome.

  • Love me some Bill Withers. The documentary "Still Bill" is a total treat to get to know the man!

  • @bevanne12 Bill Withers is not a 'singer'...he is a 'stylist'. There is a huge difference. So when you say 'Best Singer' you've got to compare singers to singers. Phil Perry...SINGER, Stevie Wonder...SINGER Blll Withers,..STYLIST...Luther Vandross...STYLIST. What makes the difference? A singer has 'range' & the ability to riff... Listen to a Phil or Stevie, they have vast range of highs & lows & the ability to scale notes in short order. Not Bill, not Luther. Aretha: Singer...Sade: stylist.

  • I've always loved this song... <3

Taken from Bill Withers last album with the same title ("Watching You Watching Me") from 1985.

It's a pure delight listening to his classic voice accompanied by slick production and musicians such as David Foster, Larry Carlton, Ralph McDonald & Michel Colombier etc..

    "When lovers speak

    It's from the heart

And all of the things they say

Are part of the magic and the mystery

You hear in a gentle sigh"

  • aint no doubt it bill is the man

  • he like jim brown just quit his art all of a sudden a great singer still

  • man this song is great !!!!

  • Gotta love this song! Went under the radar back in the '80's; to the dismay of real music lovers.

  • A great song ruined by the Eighties...

  • this song is the best thing for lovers. Bill had so much love in him, love to give, love he had received. This song represents the greatest love that we all have experienced. Love for another, love given and love received. Listen to this song and dream away, for in the beginning and in the end, LOVE is what it's all about.

  • Check out Grover Washington's version of this song. It's nice also.

  • Cream always rises too the top, come back , but at your pace. GP99

  • Celle qui me fait rêver . Celle qui me fait aimer ... On as beau avoir 20 ans mais on peut aimer celle qui en ont 40 . Une époque que je ne connaîrai jamais ... Mais dans mes rêves je l'ai vue .

    Bill <3

  • Does anyone think the opening of this sounds alot like "Ring Around Your Finger" from the Police? Of course Bill was the original.

  • Comment removed

  • @soniclens - i thought the same thing - wrapped around your finger by the police.

  • @xpennock im gone find you and make u listen to him til your ears bleed!!!

  • underated performer. Today's artists have lost something, and todays music is sadly lacking passion in comparison.

  • @73dodge I agree whole heartedly todays artists are lacking; an most of what they lack is "TALENT" the singer song writers are gone so sad, now these thugs and rip-off mimicks are volgar and x-rated true artist like Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Marvin Gaye, Smokie Robinson, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandros, and the list goes on we have lost all the greats..

  • I play this every christmas day for some reason, have done since it first came out. : )

  • Soothing!

  • Bill is one of music's best kept secrets. I can ask someone if they're into Bill Withers, and they give me a look like they don't know who i'm taking about, buy when i start to list his body of work, they are familiar with every song. He's one of the few artists that's music is more famous than his name!!

  • @jaybuddah : I`m borrowing your very first line because it is absolutely true.

  • Need the Grover Washington Jr Version What Album is it on?

  • I lived in Chicago in the mid-80s and I LOVED this song. I use to play it all of the time....STILL BILL ROCKS!!!!
