Graves would not be considered part of the Misfits since he has not been part of the Misfits for like 10 years...Jerry should do Misfits a favor and throw the towel in!!..it was hard thinking they would come back after Glenn left and then when Graves and Chud walked off stages in Orlando in 2000 or 2001? was the death of the Misfits...i have seen themmany times after that and when asking Jerry he says "It's keeping my youth alive by playing these songs" so i guess i can't understand

Of course its gay to have a song about a girl. Danzig liked it- he shared Tommy Ramone's creepy interest in"little" girls... see Killer Wolf, Skulls,Teenagers from Mars. Course his interest is a bit more fucked up. Boyfriend is an awesome song, and is the heaviest song to ever have those kind of traditional pop lyrics. Go do some more research on facebook, eventually you'll learn something about music (thanks for the Misfits history lesson, I never knew any of those amazing facts).

That's just a fact, for anyone who has ears to hear and understand a musical recording and can read the date that something was released on the back of an album or recording. You had pre-punk before them, but actual punk rock w/ their 1976 release, and hardcore was the logical progression from it.

We Bite doesn't sound like boyfriend, no. But then, if youre just gonna isolate songs, you can say I'm not Jesus is harder than Return of the Fly. As far as Static Age, attitude could've been a Ramones songs (it even copies the lyrical concerns of loudmouth!), last caress (blitzkrieg bop), 138 (I don't care)and Hybrid moments were very Ramones too (the latter a similar composition to Judy us a punk)

No shit the audio sucks, thats my favorite song by the ramones and Graves is my favorite singer. Somebody else has to have recorded a better clip. That would be all I want for christmas hehe.

@AlternativeYouthTv The 'fits are actually my second favorite band, so you wont get an argument from me about how great they are. But consider this: the Misfits wouldn't exist w/o the Ramones! All their classic stuff before Earth A.D. was just a slight (horror/sci-fi/perverted) variation on the Ramones. Last Caress is the same music as Blitzkrieg Bop! Halloween is the same music as Commando! We are 138 is the same chords as I Don' Care! The Ramones even had sang about horror movies first...

@LetsGoMetsGo33 Not really. Static age was post-punk. Their first realease was keyboard and bass. They were more influenced by: Elvis, Cramps, And of course are lovely 45 grave. Ramones only influenced Doyle.....

@AlternativeYouth The Misfits defitinitely added their own stamp, and are very important to the lasting DNA of punk and underground music, but the Ramones influence on them is obvious. And Glenn has name dropped the Ramones first album as well as the NY Dolls as influences (I can find a link for you if you want). The Cramps? Great band, but not too similar to the 'fits musically ('cept American Nightmare). Can't see more influence from them than the Damned or Dead Boys. But the Ramones foremost!

@LetsGoMetsGo33 They sound dosent really matter. The look and imagery was influenced by the cramps. While jerry only was influenced by David bowie. Glenn was in Classic rock bands before he even went to the misfits. Glenn was influenced basically by elvis on voice style. And their drummer mannys favorite bands were Iron maiden and Motorhead. Ramones i guess influenced them somehow? Just cause jerry and doyle like it dosent mean the whole band its self were influenced.

They're exactly as "pop" as the early Misfits. Love? Graves is such a great singer! He's a great guy too! He played Youngstown Ohio where I was living at the time and I had the chance to hang out with him. Being a huge Misfits fan it was a great night. The club was small so I had the chance to be right up against the stage. The following night Michale put me and a friend on the guest list for the show in Cleveland! He's definetly a class act guy!
