Right now I am shoreside but working on sitting for my Third Mate Unlimited Tonnage, should be sitting for it in January '12.
This shit is so stupid. I don't understand why people like Mamet. I've watched plenty of his films, and the only shit I enjoyed was Alec Baldwin's speech in GGR and him flipping out in the field and The Edge. That's it.

I suppose it can be funny or not funny to folks who aren't mariners, but personally this scene describes off time at sea (what I have seen of it, anyways) perfectly.
