  • oauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gary great drummer, energy, power, timing, all, thanks gary.

  • I've now gotten a copy of the full bootleg video from this show. I didn't shoot it myself and the quality leaves a lot to be desired at points but it came from a camera concealed in a woman's purse.:D

I still have to get it up at a torrent site but will give the URL for download as soon as it's up and fully seeded.

  • maaaann....dont tell me he's using a pearl vision set...i just bought on of those. hearing that would make my day.

  • Very nice. Apart from the high-end distortion, the sound is great.

Most drum videos are tedious and most comments on music videos are of the know-all, technical wank category but out of the few drummers who actually say something, Husband is one of them.

  • That was great - thanks!

  • @Riddim4

Glad you liked it. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get a bootleg posted of the whole show at a bootleg blog site. I'll leave some sort of notice here if I do.

  • I was at this gig!

Gary was awesome.. such a mellow guy, but totally mental behind the drums!

If you have more of the show, I'd really like to see it.

  • @landslug

For the second set I was directly front and center. These guys are not only thoroughly amazing musicians but just great guys personally too.

Alex Machacek was also drifting around the place. Usually if you look around at those Baked Potato shows there are also some other musical luminaries hanging around.

I also saw the Bunny Brunel, Simon Phillips, Frank Gambale and Otmaro Ruiz two days earlier and both Steve Lukather and Lee Ritenour were in the audience.

  • I agree.. I chatted with Gary before they started, so it kind of shocked me how crazy he went on the drums hahaa

It was cool to meet Allan & Jimmy too. I got a nice pic with Allan, so I'm the coolest guy on FB now!

  • this is what i love about this guy! none of that technical/clean/schooled stuff, just balls to the walls, spontaneous and cool drumming! Man i would kill to see the man with this setup because Jimmy Johnson is the man too!

  • @MrYukawa

He was amazing as he's always been whenever I've seen him. I first saw him in '82 when Allan first came out with that self produced black LP. IOU I think. Eddy Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli had front row seats at that show. The Roxy on the Sunset strip.

Last before this was in '94 for the Hardhard Area tour. Gary simply kicks ass!

  • Great stuff!! Do you got more?

  • @sturla75

    Thanks.

I only got the one clip. I guess I also got a very dark shot of Allan's pedal setup and of the Electrovoice speaker cabinets used by Jimmy Johnson but that would be a double dose of boring! :D

  • @AztekViking Thx for uploading this, I am interested in the gear setup, if it is possible I would like to get the footage, feel free to PM me, thx
