I think they should have kept in the Junpei ending. I understand that Chidori is the reason why they didn't, but I think they should have made an option:Since you can either save Chidori or let her stay dead, they could have done it so that Junpei won't see you romantically if she's saved, but if she isn't and you choose to confess to him, then he'll decide to move on and accept your confession.
@PixiSammy02 I completely agree with your statement. I didn't really start playing the persona series til recently and I was confused as to why I couldn't get Junpei until I saw he wanted Chidori. At first I was mad but then got over it...that is until I saw her die =_= damn....srsly.
The ending of this game was like being hit by your best friend. After everything you've done, all the struggles you made to create schedules full enough you could befriend and level up everyone, after a lot of crying with the emotional moments, after all the time you spent with the game it all just ends.

But then I remembered Chidori and I felt like an asshole. To add more fail, I had screwed up all the romances first time. I said the wrong thing to Ken, didn't have time for the extra romance day w/ Shinji and Aki's link was at 3 in the last month.

It's not inconceivable that Junpei could later date someone else without deciding that Chidori meant nothing. Some people do, in fact, have multiple loves over their lifetime.
I do wish he would have had an ending with MShe anyway. Romantic or not, at that point she's become close to him. And, dammit, he is such a bro, no matter what gender you're playing as.
@Achana I wholeheartedly agree. As much as I LOVE JunpeixChidori, if her death is canon, Junpei would have to eventually move on, since he'd know that Chidori would want him to be happy. However, I think it would be too soon for him to do so during the game. I don't think it gives him enough time to healthily move on after her death, especially since he's so young and immature. Dating MShe around that time would make her feel too much like a rebound girl if you ask me. He's still an awesome BFF.

I am sad... I already finished the male rpoute and for the second playthrough, I go with female one and then whent hings gone bad. I'm halfway in the game with the female protagonist almost got all the full s links and then BAM there's a problem with my memory card and I have to format it.... and I don't even have a backup for the save file..... that's why nowdays I always remind myself to backup my game save when I'm halfway of the game...

Why not just leave the option to build his social link after Chidori dies? I mean I know you need time to get over her death, but its not like he couldn't still have feelings for her. FeMC only had like 3 lover social links, and only 2 of them were actually there throughout the game. Male MC had like 5.
I personally think it'd make more sense to date Junpei than Ken. The option for Ken was kind of dumb. Wait for you to grow up? yeah right, love doesn't work like that, kid.

I feel terrible about dating ANYONE in this damn game. Junpei loses two girlfriends, Akihiko loses his little sister, his best friend (depending on whether or not you saved Shinji), and Shinji struggled to hold on to life for you...just to lose you in the end. And I have no interest in Ken. >>

out of all the characters this one for me the ending with Junpei is the only one that hurt.....really, really hurt...strange cuz the first time I was thinking "eh who's this stupid ass?" but man over time Junpei personality really grew on me...he's a great character :(

I am sad... I already finished the male rpoute and for the second playthrough, I go with female one and then whent hings gone bad. I'm halfway in the game with the female protagonist almost got all the full s links and then BAM there's a problem with my memory card and I have to format it.... and I don't even have a backup for the save file..... that's why nowdays I always remind myself to backup my game save when I'm halfway of the game...

Why not just leave the option to build his social link after Chidori dies? I mean I know you need time to get over her death, but its not like he couldn't still have feelings for her. FeMC only had like 3 lover social links, and only 2 of them were actually there throughout the game. Male MC had like 5.
I personally think it'd make more sense to date Junpei than Ken. The option for Ken was kind of dumb. Wait for you to grow up? yeah right, love doesn't work like that, kid.

@omegaluster Yes, and the one who helped him get back to his feet was mshe too y'know. XD 2 months can get someone's feet back up. No one asked mshe to replace Chidori from Junpei's heart but she can have at least another special spot. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

I feel terrible about dating ANYONE in this damn game. Junpei loses two girlfriends, Akihiko loses his little sister, his best friend (depending on whether or not you saved Shinji), and Shinji struggled to hold on to life for you...just to lose you in the end. And I have no interest in Ken. >>

*shrugs* The only one I made my character date, at first for comedic values (then he kinda became heartwarming as the SL advanced) Ken. And I despised the big tease I had with Elizabeth, then the only nice option I had was "We're friends", to a blushing Elizabeth who was sitting on my bed HOLDING MY HAND. Talk about being trolled.

Awww~! The second I heard of a female protagonist in P3P, my first thought was "SO dating Junpei!" I was crushed when he turned out to be not a date option.
This is just rubbing salt in a wound. Why, Atlus? Why? Boohoo. I get the plot bits but they DID bring Shinji back from the dead for our heroine.. T_T

if u think about it the ending is happier than persona 3 and FES because if max a social link out u can "keep your promise" with your friends (or boy/girlfriend) for example u're Mshe and if u max the star social link u can "talk for the last time with aki" but in any case u can keep the promise... yeah i think it's happier than p3^_^

If you check the official p3p site they simply states her name as "Heroine" which means the name is entirely up to the player. If there was a default name like persona 2, I could understand that, Also, fraternal twins doesn't have to look the same. that's why they're called like that. Anyway, if i offended you I apologize.
