  • do u have a fuckin clue of whatchu doing?

  • I thought this would give me insight to how this works or what it does,,but it was a big waste of time? Not much of a presenter i guess!?

  • hey man is it easy to use?

  • This isn't great at all, nothing happens. Its the same the whole video, with a deep 1 dB bass rumble. Thumbs down~!

    PEace and Love

  • @1Drummer88 you wont be disapointed, it can do just about evry thing the other ones can, but remeber its not the type of mpc you get, its how YOU use it

  • this beat isnt that sick, ill rape that 500 LUDE NESH

  • could i use this as a controller through fl studios? and also does it come with its own sounds?

  • @ETSJoshVoxx yea but u dont need it as a contoller, i just use the fpc on fl studio and use that for mpc type beats, but u cant use it for everything, and thats where the mpc comes in, thers no limits, in other words...dont use it as a contoller because its a music production system in its own..if anything i would putall my songs and samples form fl studio to the mpc, with the mpc, really dont need fl studio

  • @Dreal05starnation yeah im really good with using FL studios and i dont wanna learn a new software, but i do want some new sounds and learn how to use on of these

  • @ETSJoshVoxx yea there is so much an mpc can do i cant wait till i get one

  • @Dreal05starnation exactly, thats the purpose of the MPC, it is a music production tool, and can make a whole album using just that, ecspecially the 500 nice and portable on the go whenever you feel like bustin somthing out its there

  • Please get back to me if possible,

Can i record from this straight into my laptop?

  • really dark sound...nice track..BTW reason is a good program for making DnB

  • nice!

  • Nice :D

  • Can you extract sounds from like reason & FL to the MPC?

  • @arkona1337

I do. Just export to WAV (16-bit 44.1kHz)

  • @arkona1337 yup

  • @arkona1337 hell yea

  • ...

  • ...

  • How does the mpc hook up do u have to hook it up to a computer

  • shits wack

  • it makes me sick - after a minute it gets started.. bitch its only a minute long!

  • i'm ignorant. can i use mpc connect with boos loop station (via midi) and use both with same timeline, or somethin about?. i play turntable, i rec and loop in boss, and can i play a loop with mpc like sample.(maybe not because is recorded in pedal or maybe yes because have midi connect?) i don't know, never seen in tube some similar.but i like to buy mpc if it possible use with boss

  • yo, what do you do if you want to record and sample off of an mp3?

  • @PandemicTheorem

If it's an mp3 you can just load it straight on through USB.

  • can you quantise with these devices?

  • @slipperyslida Yeah, it can quantize

  • nice dude. really!

  • @DeJayPlp check out ebay man- you can get them on there for about $350, used but in mint condition.

  • looping? how do you go about it on one of these? simple?

  • this is the type of vid that shows you can create more genres than anything just by smart sound selection and arrangement with an mpc.

  • aah man

    love it

  • how did you get the wobbly bass sound?

  • how do you get new noises or sounds or whatever? do you like download them from the computer?

  • All sounds uploaded from a PC.

  • @encode84 does it come with prebuilt sounds?

  • get a nice laptop with a good sound card. buy propellerheads "reason 4" match it up with a M-Audio axiom 64 and you can do anything you could ever want to sound wise...

  • really..........................

  • thats my set up ;) well with a desktop

  • hater

  • yo is this mpc 500 a good one to start out making beats wit ? like as a begginer at beat making? i know nothin at all bout makin beats, but i want to start, so this what i should cop ?

  • hmmmm, its quite a limiting thing to spend ur money rele its something portable if ya know wat ur doing, rele ir depends if ya wana start making hip hop then yeh an mpc is the best but i'd splash out a little more n get one of the better models, it'll last for ages so its much better to splash out. bt if wana make ,say, dnb , dubstep, house ya know ya wana gt a mac or pc with sum good software

  • for a true bigginer u should get software such as reason, fl studio, prologic or watever.

  • i realy like it!

  • i just bought a roland sp 555.. i'd say its a little better than this.. it also costs a little more too

  • your crazy as hell too!

  • psumh,i'm talking to you,and where the hell are your vid bro?

  • hey how much can you buy one of these for??

    im savin up for one.

  • its around 500

  • I think more than that bro, it's like $799 I think.

  • it's here for around 450 euro's, what is around the 650 dollars I believe?

  • 450 Euros is about 700 here.

  • oh haha, nasty

  • huh i found it for 500 just searchin it , maybe they droped prices ?

  • For sure they dropped prices, I posted that like 6 months ago, lol.

  • haha yea i saw the date withc is why i figured they hadnt droped them yet haha

  • @DeJayPlp i bought mine opened but not used to $250 with everything.

  • @HomemadeBeatsEnt Thats awesome !!!

  • Nice break Beat

  • I dig it, nice one.

  • hah it reminds me of the ali g theme

  • Yep. In the menu just press "save the sequence"!

  • Damn homie this is thight. Hey im about to buy one of these to make my own beats but.. i have a question when i make my beat how i save it ?? Pls reply.

    Respect.

  • Did you play all the drums or you using loops? I'd give you big brownie points if you choped the Amen break and made a eraly Photek style tune...that shit difficult to program on Cubase let alone taping pads imo

  • can i plug this into a multi-track recorder?

  • MPC500 has just Phones and two jack outputs. i.e. no multitrack record possible. However, you mau connect int ot your multitrack recorder to record one stereo track. Or two mono tracks...

  • nice beat bro - if you are intrested in watching more mpc videos please feel free to subscribe to our channel its for people like you and people who love these videos & like to learn new techniques.

  • where did u get this? i want one these so badd

  • i have a question...i am looking to control softsynths and vst with the mpc, is it possible by midi? aswell, i am interested in being able to save in the internall mpc memory samples done with my softsynths, vst and hardware synths and then being able to take the mpc live with a keyboard controller and play my strings and choirs as if i took my laptop and hardware synth and hook them to the keyboard midi controller...is it possible?

  • 1. It is possible to use the MPC as a drumpad via MIDI. However, you should properly assign each pad to a desired MIDI note.

    2. It is possible to create a patch/program on the MPC using soft or hardware synth multi-samples.

    3. It is possible to play on the MPC using external controller such as MIDI keyboard or hardware synth via MIDI. And again a proper MPC pad->MIDI note map should be set.

Having said that you may load an instrument from MPC library to get the proper key mapping... Good luck!;)

  • not that great really 0 stars

  • you made me into a dnb fan seriously

all ive been doing is trying to make some good break sequences on the 500 its so fun.

  • little repetitive but decent!!!

  • Is the MPC 500 just for "on the go artist" really? Or is it just the cheapest? No offense to you,, but i'm trying to figure out if its the right "system" for me..

  • It mostly have the same features as its big brothers. Same core/RAM/polyphony. Well, sound edition may be done on PC, the Recycle software is awesome - much better and robust than any big MPC...

  • this sounds like a really nice toy to play with!

  • mpc or mpd any1???

  • nice work mate! not seen dnb played on one of these things before

  • can you do nice and fast and crazy and random drum n bass percussions? as with the electribes? i am into calyx style, or even the enter shikari interludes...i would love to do something as the drums at the end of the skins series main theme...

  • can the mpc500 be used on vista? i really need to know. and if it cant then what other non expensive versions might be able to.

  • MPC500 is a standalone unit! So, it doesn't really matter do you have Windows XP or Vista - you will be able to upload samples to MPC from both XP and Vista! ;)

  • sick!

  • arguing faggots

  • nice warm sound!

  • how do u upload samples???

    slick beat!

  • This beat is dirty man, like it sort of creepy and dark. I love it, If one was to implement it for a hip hop song, it could be a banging interlude if it was slowed down a little bit.

  • nice, fun. Great stuff

  • hey i really dig this, i agree with a below comment, its nice to see a video where its not just hip hop beats(not that theres anything wrong with that)

could this be used to trigger pre made backing tracks?

  • Yes, it sends midi messages so whatever you load into your sampler program can be played back with the pads.

  • wack

  • yeah agreed its nice to see it used for something other than old hip hop beats

  • big soul/jazz based hip hop beats are awesome but im glad to see something else than it on an mpc video. i hate DnB but its securising to know that people actually do somethin else on this machine lol. i'll get myself the 2k XL to make some dope micro sample-based beats ARGH.

  • Better you should have a memory expansion card - EXM128! Also, check out ROLAND's SP555! ;)

  • Yep, it is possible. You just export a loop from Fruity Loops and upload it to the MPC. After, you may do anything with this loop inside this machine...

  • dope, i want a 500 so bad but cant decide beween it or the mpc60

  • m8! its fuckin sweet!

plz upload it on mp3! i want it to destroy my car audio!

    this track is fire!

  • Blowing out some crappy computer speakers with this one. Low bass sounds great through my sony ear goggles

  • there brill :D

great tunes you got too man do you use any perticular software to produce?

  • Nope, just standalone MPC500! ;)

  • How much did you got it for? , they cost a bit

  • They go for around 600 usd usually.

  • if you wanna see people doing drum and bass with mpc check out DIRTYPHONICS

    live D/B

  • Cool, thanks! :)

  • I didnt know the mpc can do all that.

  • it plays a sample/loop/note when you press the pad...

  • Same. ive been searching for someone using an MPC to create drum and bass (something im hoping when the money comes in).

    Ace stuff mate cheers!

  • you're like the only person who post dnb mpc videos. I like them all so far. Sweet riddems
