  • @kodatastical The first short scene of The Exorcist you can see @0:05 , the music of The Exorcist starts @1:51 and another scene is @2:30... are you sure you KNOW the Exorcist?

  • OMG This is the Young Frankenstein score!

  • Bride Of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Young Frankenstein, From Dusk Till Dawn, Beetlejuice, Sleepy Hollow, The Birds, Night Of The Living Dead, Dark Water, Little Shop Of Horrors (1986), Little Shop Of Horrors (1960), Marathon Man, The Blob, Twilight, Interview With The Vampire, Edward Scissorhands, Friday The 13th, The Sixth Sense, Paranormal Activity, Friday The 13th Part 2, Alien, Carrie, 28 Days Later, The Blair Witch Project, The Omen... These are the movies!!!

  • The Shinning is still the most frightening movie I have ever seen mostly due to Jack Nicholson.

  • After all these years The Shinning still scares me .

  • why is interview with a vampire and twilight on there?

This is a tribute to horror not half-assed pussy vampire montage.

  • I love the sound Johnny Depp makes at 0:20!!!

  • whats the movie at 2:50?

  • @SR120 Scream by Wes craven

  • @SR120 Scream

  • @tuckanowb yeah, i realised that just after i posted. thanks anyway though.

  • lol @ Tarantino!!.....he WOULD enjoy that.....heehee

  • I love that a shot of Amy Steel is in this! She is the 2nd best horror actress, after Jamie Lee Curtis.

  • I hate that they actually showed scenes from "Leprechaun" and "The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre" only because it had Jennifer Aniston and Renée Zellweger starring in them. If they wanted to show big A-list actors in horror movies than they should have shown Nicole Kidman's appearance in "The Others", Jake Gyllenhaal appearance in "Donnie Darko" or Christian Bale's appearance in "American Psycho".

  • @MarilynDay1 I totally agree. And for when they were looking back at actors who started in horror, they should have included a clip of Jennifer Connelly from Phenomena (she was only 14 or 15 when she made it, even before she made Labyrinth)

  • I don't think Little Shop of Horror deserves a nod in the tribute, despite the title. Perhaps in a musical or comedy section. I feel it is far too tame. Or Edward Scissorhands and Twilight? What, did the academy snub such classic films as Candyman or The Thing or Phantasm? Surely, if it shows indie flicks Blair witch and PA, they can recall the infamous Candyman calling out "Helllllen......"

  • what about the one thats from 1:00-1:05?

  • The music at 0:24 is Psycho (1960) and I think the music from 0:50 is Young Frankenstein (1974). Also, the movie with the red background is the Amityville Horror (1979). I thought the tribute was really good and I genuinely enjoyed it, though it could have done without Twilight and the comedies should have been real horror movies like from the Hammer films, Candyman, or the Thing (1982).

  • Needs more Bela Lugosi, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price, Boris Karloff and Christopher Lee.

  • wow I think its horror that they show effing twilight in a horror tribute D:

  • c'est dégueu

  • What movie is the music from 0:24 to 0:50? I know it's Hitchcock but what movie?

  • @Wolfrunner326 Psycho

  • I am freaking sick of people calling Kristen Stewart a scream queeen!! Ok yes, she did a few horror movies like The Messengers but one actual scary movie and love drama films with wimpy vampires in it isn't scary so she isn't a scream queen. Jamie Lee Curtis, Adrianne Barbeau and Danniell Harris are the REAL scream queens!

  • 0:38 whooo go Chucky

  • GET TWILIGHT OUT OF THERE! IT IS NOT HORROR! Get off the stage Kristen and Taylor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice are not horror either. But they're MUCH scarier than Twilight...and closer to it!

P.S. YEAH A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET! <3 The original!

  • i believe the movie at :41 is The Evil Dead

The tribute was good except for Twilight. That movie should be ashamed to even call itself a good movie, let alone a horror movie. The writers were correct though in that a LOT of stars got their start in horror movies.

  • @moviegeek75 thanks! do you know what the movie at 1:37 is?

  • @BabylonTerminator1 Poltergiest

  • @jbcowdery thank you!

  • @moviegeek75 Evil Dead 2 ;) Dunno though, could have done without Edward Scissorhands too..They kinda reused clips from a lot of the same movies WAY too many times as if they ran out of ideas! They could have put in some more great classic movies instead of horror comedies like Beetlejuice, Little Shop of Horrors remake, etc (I was shocked to see no clips of The Thing) But yeah, Twilight? That felt like a huge slap in the face.

  • taylor lautner and kristen stewart should not have introduced this tribute. why couldn't be have had robert england and linda blair doing the intro? if they are not oscar worthy enough as a reason, then put anthony hopkins and jack nicholson in the intro.

  • Horror Fucking Rules.

  • I know why twilights in here! Its so insanely, horribly bad!

I wanna slap the idiot that said, "hey twilight belongs in here."

  • Why the fuck was Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice in there? Beetlejuice is on the lines of a fine comedy, and Edward Scissorhands is just heartbreakingly beautiful - neither of them are horror films. But at least they're actually good, unlike Twilight (who the hell thought it was exceptable to put that in there just because Stewart and Lautner were 'hosting' the tribute?)

  • and does anyone know the movie at 0:41?

  • does anyone know the movie at 1:37?

  • in 0:22 what movie is that??

  • @092arc at 0:22 it's the movie Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, unless you mean the short scene with the tombstone and red background but i have no idea what that movie is lol

  • @092arc A nightmare on Elm street

  • Okay, what is 1:29?

  • @Cullenlvr961 thats Beetlejuice is more a comedy movie than a horror movie but it's very cool that it was included there... the director is Tim Burton

  • @Cullenlvr961 Beetlejuice, starring Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, and Geena Davis, Directed by Tim Burton, really fun movie!

  • @BabylonTerminator1. I thought it was Stephen Baldwin who was in "Beetlejuice," not Alec.

  • FUCKING AMAZING

  • OK adding Twilight scenes and having Twilight Twit actors ruined this for me

  • Ok moviemaniacs, I need your help!

-I need the title of 2 old movies that you can see at 1.15-1.16, just the 2 after the close of of Nosferatu.

-The title of the movie shown after Hitchcock's The Birds, where you see the blood falling downstairs.

-The movie at 2.23, you can see a girl on a bed and then a monster came down from the cieling.

-The movie at 2.27, after the Alien clip, someone smash a window and grab a blond girl from behind.

-The movie a 2.38, a bug in the mouth of a girl!

  • @living88dead 2:23 is Bram Stoker's Dracula. that's all i know though lol sorry :)

  • @living88dead if you are still wondering the movies at 1:15-1:16 are Phantom of the Opera and the Hunchback at Notre Dame, the title of the one after the Birds is the Amityville Horror (1979), The one at 2:23 is Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992), the one at 2:27 is Friday the Thirteenth Part II (1981), and the one at 2:38 is A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984).

  • @TemplarReturns

    I meant it's a horror it got green-lighted.

  • @KidComedyOfficial I hear you, I think, but it does not belong in the horror genre or this montage.... Rosemary's Baby, Jaws, Jason, Halloween the Exorcist....and then New Moon???? Who are we kidding here? It doesnt belong here, thats what I am saying.

  • @VioletTheVampire no Hannibal lector

  • @juanrocklee Scenes from "The Exorcist": 0:06 and 2:31

  • @juanrocklee Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula (1992)

  • @juanrocklee That would be Alien, great film you must see if you haven't seen it. This scene is the famous chest bursting scene and is one of the best moments in horror film history.

  • I watched this with my sisters, and they said Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and Twilight weren't really scary.

  • HORROR = BEST GENRE!!!!

    Hail to Evil Dead II

  • ahahahahahahahahahaha

its all like old style horror films....and then bella and jacob on the motor bike in new moon- HOW is that clip even remotly horror? if the were gonna pick a clip- why not some volturi stuff

  • They had to get the cast of twilight to present it because no one else would acknowledge that as horror.

  • Beetlejuice?

    Edward Scissorhands?

    NEW MOON?

    WTF?

Three movies that could've replaced them:

    The Hitcher

    REC

    Near Dark

  • They might've included the classics, but that's all they included...any REAL horror fan is wondering where the hell movies like Cannible Holocaust, Zombie, etc. are...

  • Guys does anyone know which movie is shown at 0:51 seconds thanks

  • @ricardinho1869

    The Ring 2002.

  • @ricardinho1869 Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho

  • samara :)

  • I was mad about twilight, nothing was scary about twilight. But they showed all the classics so that's good. They sh.owed edward scissorhand and i didn't find that scary

  • yeah ... bit ridiculous putting twilight on that list taking into account the other films that are on the list ...

  • 1:35 was dracula

  • what movie is at 1:35?

  • Night Of The Living Dead

  • 12/12

  • wtf Little Shop of Horros and Twilight. TWILIGHT? Really?

  • great tribute to horror but i had to laugh that lepraucon was there he was the worst horror creep ever

  • I'm seeing a lot of "why is Edward Scissorhands andf Twilight here" and I am getting confused. First of, Young Frankinstien is a horror cvomedy paroding the old Frankinstien. Second, Twilight may not be a full horror film, but it does have vampires and werewolfs which are clearly horror icons. And finally, Edward Scissorhands is a swet film as it goes, but you gotta admit. The dark droopy setting, the death scenes, and of course, Edward looks like he walked out of a heavy metal poster.

  • i LOVE carrie and whatever happened to baby jane!

  • Apparently, they had to include Twilight, Edward Scissorhands and Young Frankenstein due to more appeal to audiences (or something like that). One of the clips originally included was The Black Cat, starring Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff.

Personally, they should have also included An American Werewolf in London, Phantasm, Wait Until Dark, Suspiria, Phenomena, Disturbia, Jennifer's Body, Alice Sweet Alice, The Howling, Firestarter, The Faculty, The Good Son and Wolf Man (2010)

  • @RyT1994 Jennifer's Body? That was a bad movie.

  • eww the thingy at 2:36 grossed me out lol....

  • I thought this was pretty cool...but since when are Edward Scissorhands, Young Frankenstein and Twilight horror films?

  • @zamoooomaz They aren't

  • @zamoooomaz I think it was more a tribute to "monsters".

  • @zamoooomaz Seriously! I am surprised they didn't show E.T!

  • @zamoooomaz edward scissorhands does look scary for a guy with scissorhands, young frankenstein is pretty much frankenstein , and twilight is a vampire film so people in oscars would consider it horror i think

  • umm suddenly twilight is a horror movie? does someone want to explain?
