I think you will find that it is a Dixon non-tuneable polymer practice flute (try saying that six times fast :P). I'm planning on getting one myself sometime - and they are hundreds of dollars cheaper than most other flutes.
When I heard this I started dancing 'round the room and my mums like "What the heck are you doin?!" XD anywho you look familiar (flute player) like some random guy i saw at karate one day O-o wiiieerrdd XD
OMG that's so awesome... You guys gave me so much inspiration & motivation to practise hard some new instruments to me, Tin Whistle and Irish Flute... I've now played tw approximately a month and my first flute came today, i'm so excited :) This one is the cheapest tony dixon, one-piece model... That's the tunable one you got there i assume?
Very nice, great sound you have going there. Although, may I suggest using a guitar with a bigger body. I think it compliments the flute better, but then again, I know nothing about this kind of music other than I like it^_^. On all the videos of flute/guitar combinations that I've watched so far (which is 2), the guitarist played bar chords. Is that usually how it's done?
Damn. If i would have known such a thing had existed I might have gotten one to practice off of before I got the real-deal Irish flute...ah well...no worries...whether it's wood, plastic, tin or whatever..you always bring out the best in wind instruments.
very nice. If that's a cheap plastic flute, you sure bring life to it. I've been interested in Irish music, I've a CD of some music, you guys resparked the interest. Wonderful music.
i love your music! I'm french but i love irish music and i think you play very well and you're talented! i play flute but not irish flute, maybe will i start it...

I heard good reviews for Doug Tipple's PVC pipe Irish flutes. They play as good as the more expensive ones apparently, and are about 60 USD a piece.

Hey Muffin, they come in plastic too. Eg: Tony Dixon brand. I was offered a slightly used one for $65.00 once.
Heath75032 4 years ago
Exactly. My flute is a Tony Dixon in D made of polymer (plastic). So it's cheap.
